Setup Guides

Post by Wingnut » Sat Jun 13, 2020 9:04 pm

Here are some things to help you new guys with making setups for the car.  These are not for the F2000, but the premis is the same as far as the physics go.  The wings and suspension still do the same thing as far as what you change and what the result is.
This tells you what to change based on what the car is doing now to get it to do what you want it to do.   https://members.iracing.com/jforum/posts/downloadAttach/2460615.page

This is the setup guide to the Pro Mazda car.  The physics involved are going to be the same even though the car itself is different.  This goes more into detail on what each thing does as you change it.

This has the link to the first page I posted but there is also a bunch of links that will teach you how to set the car up.  https://members.iracing.com/jforum/posts/list/3516780.page

Awesome Thanks Kevin! I took out the power specs post and added it here and moved this to the announcements section. That setup chart is great I use it a lot for all winged cars.

Also something to keep in mind. These cars are aero dependent. Don’t waste a whole lot of time looking for grip in the suspension. Some can be found but not going to be much. Most of the grip comes from the wings.
