Just a blunt reminder for y'all. This race does require you have an oval dirt license of D 2.0. You still have time to achieve this before the session opens on Wednesday. It was in the rules you acknowledged when you signed up, so no one can say "I didn't know".

Hey gents. As Adam noted, yes licences comes into play this week!!!!! Make sure you have a D 2.0 in DIRT OVAL to be able to participate in the race.

As for the race, we ran a heat format with a slightly smaller sized Main field and it work out awesome, so we are going with the format again. Here is the breakdown:

Qualifying starting at 8:55pm. Still the same 2 lap, 5 minute format. Qualifying will be used to set the line ups of the heat races.

3 Heats: 13 drivers max, 10 laps or 5 minutes. Top 7 finishers in each Heat move to the Main.

LCQ Race: All drivers who did not finish in the Top 7 of the Heats. 12 laps or 5 minutes. Top 7 finishers move on to the Main.

Main Race: 28 drivers. 75 laps or 30 minutes.

**The bonus points for the Pole will be based on the 2 Lap Qualifying session. Laps Lead and Fastest Lap bonus points will only be based off of the  Main Race. If we have more than 28 show up and drivers do not make it through the LCQ, they will score points. (First driver out will be scored 29th for the night, second driver out will be scores 30th, ect.)

The caution system is in full effect, so keep that in mind and come prepared. Last time we had a Steward sit in and we did manual cautions instead of auto cautions, and we are looking at that again. Also caution laps will count as that system to not count them is still buggy. So very much keep that in mind for the Heats as they are very short races.

I know exactly how you feel Austin.  I ran the dirt street stock to get my license and did well.  I ran my 150 practice laps for the Majors in the winged sprint car and had no issues running a full tank without incident.  I got in the truck and couldn't make a handful of laps.  I'll definitely be on again as soon as I get home this afternoon to get some additional practice in.

At least I don't have to worry about Brad beating me on pit entry/exit tonight.
