PRL Season 4 trackpack

If in doubt, we're using the same PLP (pitlanepenalty) ini-file the whole season, as we used in the pre-season race.
For convenience, here it is as seperate download:
PLP ini

Extract to AC game folder (..\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa), overwrite the default plp.ini
When you login to the server, you should see this message in the chat:

PLP: running version 1.21,2-50-3-True-1.3-0.98-3-2-82-1|*your name*

Hi guys,

I applied for Minorating on the PRL server, and Jerome approved it. This means the server will run MR rating from round 1, this Sunday!

What is MR? Minorating

Why MR on PRL, it's a league, not public server??
[ol]
[li]Because it tracks contacts between drivers and writes it to the server log, making it very easy to spot if any incidents should be looked at, even if the drivers involved might forget to report them.[/li]
[li]The system can see how "bad" the incidents are, so small contacts can be ignored, the big ones can be easily found and investigated.[/li]
[li]Drivers will hopefully be even more aware of their position on track, blue flag, track re-entry etc. See it as a supplement to PLP.[/li]
[li]Easy way for participants to improve their MR grade.[/li]
[li]It can spot drivers that has a tendency to un-clean/un-safe driving, giving organiser opportunity to advise, helping to prevent and settle future incidents. So it's main purpose is as a driver 'monitor' for the organiser.[/li]
[/ol]
I'm a grade A and don't want to loose it because the league has C/D grades!:
Sorry, but you have to live with that. I'm usually grade A, but after a few nights on open MR servers, I often drop to grade B (which I am atm), often not by own fault. It happens, no big deal. Join a pure A/B server, and grade A is easily attained again.

It is not ment to sort lower grades from the league, like C and D grades, but W will not be accepted. The server will be set to ABCDN.
If you by chance happen to be a grade W already before we start on Sunday, sorry then, now is the time to join public MR servers and work on your grade. No escuse! But, I don't think we have such drivers in the league :)

Your grade will not be shown to others on the forum, it is not a badge "look I'm a good/bad driver", but if I see you going on a spiral down to grade D, I will contact you and ask "what's up man?". By then, you'd probably also have someone else reporting you.

I hope this feature is welcomed by all. Don't fear it, but respect it and try to improve your grade through the season.

I'm confident that PLP and MR will really sharpen a few of us, in a good way

Cheers!

PS: season package incoming soon, will announce later

I'm a big fan of Mino Rating. I would personally have made the league AB. Maybe ABC at worst. If your a C or D you're already having too many contacts in my opinion.

I agree that D is too low a grade, but we have a few C possibly, and it's very easy to drop in grades if you regularly drive open grade servers, regardless of your own driving.
It would be problematic to set up MR to AB after a signup, so that's 1 reason I haven't. When the first raceweek is over, I'll know everyones grades, so we'll work from there. It's a monitor here on PRL more than an excluding tool.

I want to say what great work you have done so far with the league, I am for the MR RATING, will be good for all drivers and should make all drivers more careful. I know there are some drivers that are so much more experienced and faster than me this season and I love racing these guys, it makes you think more and makes you faster by racing better drivers.

Can't wait for season to start happy racing have fun all.

Since I’ve never run a single multiplayer race in AC does this mean with the MR rating thing I won’t be able to get in?  Thanks.

You'll begin with grade N, so no problem joining 😊
