Protest

[ul]
[li]All protests relating to a racing incident must be submitted within 72 hours of event completion. Protests that are submitted late will be dismissed.[/li]
[li]We suggest drivers involved in an on-track situation to talk it over with one another first before turning in a Stewarding Protest. Take it upon yourselves to watch the replays, even in slow motion if needed.[/li]
[li]Protests that are incorrectly submitted or late will be dismissed. Please contact the Chief Steward directly if you are having issues making a submission before the 48 hour time limit.[/li]
[li]The driver being protested may be contacted by the Chief Steward if their PoV is deemed necessary, either by the website private message system or by email. The protested driver then has 72 hours to submit his/her own evidence. A ruling can be made by the Stewards without needing the Protested driver's PoV. [/li]
[li]The incident will be reviewed by the Stewards, and a decision will be announced in the respective championship’s "Stewards Reports" topic, along with the Incident ID.[/li]
[/ul]

Appeals

[ul]
[li]All appeals must be submitted within 72 hours of the publication of the Stewards Report as follows:
[ul]
[li]Send an email to stewards@precisionracingleague.com[/li]
[li]The subject line must be in the following format: Appeal: [Investigation ID][/li]
[li]List your PRL username in the body text[/li]
[li]Your e-mail must explain why you feel the initial decision by the Stewards was wrong.[/li]
[/ul]
[/li]
[li]Appeals shall be reasonable, logical, based on sound evidence, and related to the PRL Racing Rules.[/li]
[li]Appeals that are frivolous, incorrectly submitted, or late will be dismissed.  Repeated appeals of this nature will result in disciplinary action.[/li]
[li]Only one appeal per incident is permitted.[/li]
[li]The Appeal will be reviewed by an extended PRL Stewarding team, and a decision will be announced in the respective championship’s Stewards Reports thread.[/li]
[li]If a driver loses 2 Appeals in a 30 day period, they will have a 60 day ban placed on them before being able to Appeal another ruling by the Stewards.[/li]
[/ul]

Penalties

[ul]
[li]The penalties that can be awarded for infractions of the rules include time penalties, points deductions, position penalties, race disqualifications, grid penalties, race suspensions, or you may be made to start the next race from the pits.[/li]
[li]More severe penalties may be given in some circumstances.  The PRL Stewards reserve the right to award any penalty they feel is appropriated.[/li]
[li]Some protests will result in a warning rather than a penalty, but a second warning within 3 months may result in a penalty.[/li]
[/ul]

Round 1 - Brands Hatch
[ul]
[li]The stewards investigated a collision at pit entry between Caraballo and Shawn Fohs. The stewards have ruled this incident as a racing incident and no penalties will be issued. It should be noted that Fohs was slow into pit lane, it is the responsibility of the trailing car to avoid a collision. Caraballo had ample time and space to adjust his speed to a slow car ahead. Given that these two were the only affected drivers, no penalties will be issued.[/li]
[li]Following the above incident, Caraballo's conduct on the chat was in direct violation of PRL rules showing no respect for the league and other drivers. The stewards have issued a 1-Race suspension to Caraballo for Round 2. All drivers are reminded to be respectful at all times. We recommend you allow yourself to cool off and discuss with the other driver a day or two later. The heat of the moment is never a good time to discuss an incident.[/li]

Round 4 - Mosport
[ul]
[li]The stewards investigated a collision between Sebastian Proulx and Raymond Deux. Proulx has been found at fault for tapping the rear bumper of Deux, resulting in a spin off-track and has been issued a 5-point minor penalty.[/li]
[li]The stewards investigated a collision between Christopher Richards and Aaron La. With Richards in front, Aaron La creates contact at corner exit, spinning Richards. Without relinquishing the position gained, Aaron La has been issued a 5-point penalty for bump-passing.[/li]

Round 5 - Barber Motorsports Park
[ul]
[li]The stewards investigated a lap 1 collision between Ballavance and Cochrane. After reviewing the evidence Cochrane severely misses his braking point on cold tires, and barely misses taking out 4 other cars before colliding with Ballavance. For causing this collision, Cochrane has been issued a start from the pits penalty (major) for Round 7. Failure to comply with this penalty will result in removal from the series for the remainder of the season.[/li]

Round 9 - Barcelona
[ul]
[li]While attempting to recover from a spin after coming to a complete stop sideways in the middle of a corner, Jon Cochrane began to move forward. In doing so, he altered the trajectory required for Gary Schilling to avoid hitting him. For his actions, Cochrane has been issued a 3-point minor penalty.  This penalty has been appealed and overturned. The penalty to Cochrane has been reversed as the wrong driver was identified in the submitted protest.[/li]
