Protest

[ul]
[li]All protests relating to a racing incident must be submitted within 48 hours of event completion. Protests that are submitted late will be dismissed.[/li]
[li]Drivers involved in an on-track situation are required to talk it over with one another first before turning in a Stewarding Protest. Take it upon yourselves to watch the replays, even in slow motion if needed.[/li]
[li]Protests that are incorrectly submitted or late will be dismissed. Please contact the Chief Steward directly if you are having issues making a submission before the 48 hour time limit.[/li]
[li][urlt]https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdAhH9Ado9Mjzx_4ttM2QjWpyzZewlJR1qfE3xElcO1JWWy1Q/viewform, Click here to complete the Protest Form[/urlt].[/li]
[li]The driver being protested may be contacted by the Chief Steward if their PoV is deemed necessary, either by the website private message system or by email. The protested driver then has 48 hours to submit his/her own evidence. A ruling can be made by the Stewards without needing the Protested driver's PoV. [/li]
[li]The incident will be reviewed by the Stewards, and a decision will be announced in the respective championship’s "Stewards Reports" topic, along with the Incident ID.[/li]
[/ul]

Appeals

[ul]
[li]All appeals must be submitted within 48 hours of the publication of the Stewards Report as follows:
[ul]
[li]Send an email to stewards@precisionracingleague.com[/li]
[li]The subject line must be in the following format: Appeal: [Investigation ID][/li]
[li]List your PRL username in the body text[/li]
[li]Your e-mail must explain why you feel the initial decision by the Stewards was wrong.[/li]
[/ul]
[/li]
[li]Appeals shall be reasonable, logical, based on sound evidence, and related to the PRL Racing Rules.[/li]
[li]Appeals that are frivolous, incorrectly submitted, or late will be dismissed.  Repeated appeals of this nature will result in disciplinary action.[/li]
[li]Only one appeal per incident is permitted.[/li]
[li]The Appeal will be reviewed by an extended PRL Stewarding team, and a decision will be announced in the respective championship’s Stewards Reports thread.[/li]
[li]If a driver loses 2 Appeals in a 30 day period, they will have a 60 day ban placed on them before being able to Appeal another ruling by the Stewards.[/li]
[/ul]

Penalties

[ul]
[li]The penalties that can be awarded for infractions of the rules include time penalties, points deductions, position penalties, race disqualifications, grid penalties, race suspensions, or you may be made to start the next race from the pits.[/li]
[li]More severe penalties may be given in some circumstances.  The PRL Stewards reserve the right to award any penalty they feel is appropriated.[/li]
[li]Some protests will result in a warning rather than a penalty, but a second warning within 3 months may result in a penalty.[/li]
[/ul]

Round 1: Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari - Grand Prix (18 Dec)
[ul]
[li][ID: 627] The Stewards investigated an incident between Alexander Koffard and Jean-Marc Tremblay on the approach to T4. The Stewards have found Jean-Marc at fault for crowding Alexander off track while trying to position himself for the entry of the turn while Alexander had established overtake and rights to his space on the right hand side. The Stewards are ruling this a Minor Penalty and are awarding Jean-Marc Tremblay a 3 point penalty.[/li]
[li][ID: 628] The Stewards investigated an incident between Alexander Koffard and Jean-Marc Tremblay in T1. The Stewards have found Jean-Marc at fault for initiating contact with Alexander as he lost control of his vehicle clipping the inside curbing, trying to give room to Alexander on his outside. The Stewards are ruling this a Minor Penalty and are awarding Jean-Marc Tremblay a 3 point penalty.[/li]
While recovering from this incident, the Stewards have found Jean-Marc at fault for unsafely rejoining the track in front of 2 oncoming vehicles, forcing evasive maneuvers. The Stewards are ruling this a Major Penalty due to the unnecessarily dangerous nature of the rejoin and awarding Jean-Marc Tremblay a 5 point penalty.
[li][ID: 629] The Stewards investigated if there was a violation at the start of the race with Carl Modoff. The Stewards have found that Carl was not in any violation as he paced the field to the start of the race. While Carl was pacing a little under the pace car speed since he slowed down for the final corner right before the start of the race, the speed Carl kept was consistent and not fluctuating to the point that the pace car entered pit road and Carl decided to accelerate, which was his right at the leader. There is no penalty being awarded in this investigation.[/li]
[li][ID: 631] The Stewards investigated an incident between Hugo Galaz and Justin Hall in T3. The Stewards have found Justin at fault for an unsafe rejoin on the exit of T3, after spinning himself off track exiting T2. Due to the nature of rejoining on the racing line and the impact it had on Hugo, The Stewards are ruling this a Major Penalty and awarding Justin Hall a 5 point penalty.[/li]
[li][ID: 633] The Stewards investigated an incident between Dany Duchesne and Thomas Ellison between the exit of the final corner and the entrance to pit road. The Stewards have found Thomas at fault for initiating the contact with Dany as Thomas did not have any overtake established, thus Dany had the rights to his entry line into the pits. Due to the nature of the contact being created, the Stewards ruling this a Major Penalty and Thomas Ellison will be awarded a 8 point penalty.[/li]
[li][ID: 634] The Stewards investigated a L8 incident between Rodrigo Munoz and Cristobal Valenzuela. The Stewards find Cristobal at-fault of creating the contact between the 2 vehicles. Due to the nature in which the contact was created, the Stewards are ruling this a Major Penalty violation, with an added penalty that the Major lead to a multicar accident. With this ruling, Cristobal Valenzuela will be awarded a 10 point penalty.[/li]

[li][ID: 636] The Stewards investigated the T1, L1 incident between Mike Griffith, Jorge Flores, and Francisco Montini. The Stewards have found Mike Griffith at fault in the investigation for late braking in 3-wide into T1 without any overtake established before hand, creating contact with Jorge, which created the contact with Francisco and sent him spinning off track. The Stewards have ruled this as a Major infraction with Mike gaining positions with the contact created, and did not return them. The Stewards are awarding Mike Griffith a 10 point penalty.[/li]

Round 3: Watkins Glen International - Boot (15 Jan)
[ul]
[li][ID: 641] The Stewards investigated a claim of illegal safety car pacing by Pole winner Carl Modoff at the end of the pace lap before the start of the race. There technically was no rule in place at the time of the race that prohibited the Pole sitter from backing the field up and letting the pace car pull away from the field, giving himself a bigger window of opportunity to start when he desired. Due to that, there will be no penalty awarded to Carl Modoff for this investigation.[/li]
[/ul]
The Leadership team has made a new rule for the league that will start in Round 4 stating that the Pole Winner must stay within 5 mph of the pacing speed moving forward so that the field does not get unnecessarily bunched up before the start of the race.

[li][ID: 643] The Stewards investigated a L3 incident between Dany Duchesne and Joey Trungale. The Stewards have ruled that while both cars had rights to the respective lines, Joey drifted to the right into Dany's line and initiated the contact. Due to the nature of the contact, the Stewards have ruled that this will be listed as a Minor Penalty and Joey Trungale will be awarded a 3 point penalty.[/li]
[li][ID: 644] The Stewards investigated the start of the race and the actions of Aaron Thacker. While Aaron did not have overtake establised going into T1, the driver in front of him did not make an attempt to protect, or run the inside line of the turn, therefore the lane was open for Aaron to make a move towards. There is no violation on corner rights against Aaron Thacker in this review.[/li]
[li][ID: 645] The Stewards investigated a L2 incident between Mike Griffith, Cory Clark and Frederico Montini. After review of the official replay, the Stewards have ruled that the initial contact between Cory and Frederico that started this incident was due to significant netcode and we can not say with 100% certainty that Cory's move would have created contact without netcode. Due to that ruling, this incident will be declared a racing deal due to netcode, and no penalty will be awarded.[/li]

Round 5: Daytona International Speedway - Road (29 Jan)

[li][ID: 647] The Stewards have issued a warning to Simon Avital for not rolling for almost 20 secs as the pace car started moving to start the pace lap. We ask all drivers to please keep a situation like this in mind as Simon turned his car off in a fuel saving effort, then had issues starting the car back up. While it is ultimately the responsibility of all drivers behind to stay patient and not create contact with the car in front of them, this is still a situation we would like to avoid moving forward.[/li]
[li][ID: 648] The Stewards investigated contact between Tyler Dezubay and Jerome Berthiaume approaching T1. There was a big accordion check-up happening on the inside row approaching T1, forcing heavy braking and some maneuvering by drivers. During this, there was side contact created by Tyler and Jerome. Due to the nature of the contact and that neither driver spun nor suffered severe damage, the Stewards are ruling this contact a racing deal and no penalty will be awarded.[/li]
[li][ID: 649] The Stewards investigated the initial contact between Leif Peterson and Cristian Eissler in T1 that set off a chain reaction accident. The Stewards have found Leif at fault for slightly moving from his line and initiating the contact that lead to Cristian spinning. Due to factors as Montini going for the inside without establishing overtake (though the lane was open so this in itself was not a clear violation), and the minor contact created was due to Leif trying to give all parties involved room, the Stewards are ruling this as a Minor violation. The Stewards are awarding Leif Peterson a 3 point penalty.[/li]
[li][ID: 650] The Stewards investigated the contact between Tyler Dezubay and Jean-Marc Tremblay in T2. The Stewards have ruled that Tyler has been found at fault for creating contact by turning into Jean-Marc, who had his line established. While Jean-Marc had to go wide off in T1 due to the previous accident, Jean-Marc did have a clean and safe re-entry and had his line established. The Stewards also recognize that after the contact, there was an issue with how the sim physics entangling the cars together in an unrealistic way, so neither driver will be held accountable for coming back onto the track unsafely due to this sim issue. The Stewards have ruled the initial contact as a Minor violation and Tyler Dezubay will be awarded a 3 point penalty.[/li]
[li][ID: 651] The Stewards investigated contact between Hugo Galaz and Joey Trungale in T5 of Lap 3. The Stewards have found Joey at fault in creating contact with the rear of Hugo, sending him into a half spin, and gaining the position due to that contact without returning it. Due to  the nature in which Joey created the contact, the Stewards have ruled this as a Major violation for bump passing, and have awarded Joey Trungale a 10 point penalty. [/li]
[li][ID: 652] The Stewards investigated contact between Lucio Almonacid Vargas and Alex Koffard in T1 of L3. The Stewards have found Lucio at fault for creating contact with the rear corner panel of Alex, which lead to him going off track. With that, the Stewards also recognized that Lucio having to make an evasive maneuver due to a disabled car being in the racing line which was visually being blocked by the pit road wall until very late was the main reason that lead to the contact. With that, the Stewards have ruled this as a Minor violation, and have awarded Lucio Alamonacid Vargas a 3 point penalty.[/li]
[li][ID: 654] Due to creating a post of disrespectful nature which went beyond critical criticism and was written in a way to belittle the PRL as a whole, the Management team has issued a ban to Rapido (Tom Ellison) and have removed him from the league.[/li]

[li][ID: 655] The Stewards investigated a L19 incident between Cristain Eissler and Fransisco Montini. The Stewards have found Montini at fault for creating contact and illegally gaining the position without returning it. The Stewards have ruled this a Major penalty and are awarding Montini a 10 point penalty.[/li]
[li][ID: 656] For losing control of his vehicle in an unsafe manner which lead to a multicar wreck on L1, The Stewards have found Mike Griffith at fault with a Major violation and awarding him with an 10 point penalty.[/li]
[li][ID: 657] The Stewards investigated an incident between Lee Lukas and Cory Clark on L3. The Stewards have found Lee at fault for creating contact coming to corner entry, which sent Cory into the grass/gravel. The Stewards have ruled this as a Minor penalty, and are awarding Lee Lukas a 3 point penalty.[/li]
