Protests
[ul]
[li]All protests relating to a racing incident must be submitted within 48 hours of event completion. Protests that are submitted late will be dismissed.[/li]
[li]Drivers involved in an on-track situation are required to talk it over with one another first before turning in a Stewarding Protest. Take it upon yourselves to watch the replays, even in slow motion if needed.[/li]
[li]Protests that are incorrectly submitted or late will be dismissed. Please contact the Chief Steward directly if you are having issues making a submission before the 48 hour time limit.[/li]
[li]The driver being protested may be contacted by the Chief Steward if their PoV is deemed necessary, either by the website private message system or by email. The protested driver then has 48 hours to submit his/her own evidence. A ruling can be made by the Stewards without needing the Protested driver's PoV.[/li]
[li]The incident will be reviewed by the Stewards, and a decision will be announced in the respective championship’s "Stewards Reports" topic, along with the Incident ID.[/li]
[/ul]
Appeals
All appeals must be submitted within 48 hours of the publication of the Stewards Report as follows:
[ul]
[li]Send an email to stewards@precisionracingleague.com[/li]
[li]The subject line must be in the following format: Appeal: [Investigation ID][/li]
[li]List your PRL username in the body text[/li]
[li]Your e-mail must explain why you feel the initial decision by the Stewards was wrong[/li]
[li]Appeals shall be reasonable, logical, based on sound evidence, and related to the PRL Racing Rules.[/li]
[li]Appeals that are frivolous, incorrectly submitted, or late will be dismissed. Repeated appeals of this nature will result in disciplinary action.[/li]
[li]Only one appeal per incident is permitted.[/li]
[li]The Appeal will be reviewed by an extended PRL Stewarding team, and a decision will be announced in the respective championship’s Stewards Reports thread.[/li]
[li]If a driver loses 2 Appeals in a 30 day period, they will have a 60 day ban placed on them before being able to Appeal another ruling by the Stewards.[/li]
[/ul]
Penalties
[ul]
[li]The penalties that can be awarded for infractions of the rules include time penalties, points deductions, position penalties, race disqualifications, grid penalties, race suspensions, or you may be made to start the next race from the pits.[/li]
[li]More severe penalties may be given in some circumstances. The PRL Stewards reserve the right to award any penalty they feel is appropriated.[/li]
[li]Some protests will result in a warning rather than a penalty, but a second warning within 3 months may result in a penalty.[/li]
[/ul]

[li][ID: 568] The Stewards investigated and incident involving Crizano and NormandPinet in the final turn with 35 seconds left in qualifying. Normand was out of the racing groove as Crizano was approaching to start his final hot lap. Normand's car then turned down and created contact with Crizano and scuffed speed off of his exit and impeded his hot-lap. Upon review of Normand, Normand stopped his car out of the racing groove as to not impede another driver, and the game then took over his car to attempt to put it on pit road and then DSQ Normand for stopping on the track. Since Normand's intentions were to respect the rules and try to let Crizano by and it was a game design mechanic that created this issue, there will be no penalty awarded to Normand for impeding another driver attempting a hot-lap.[/li]
[li][ID: 569] The Stewards investigated an incident between Crizano and Twitch.Muddh20 in T5 of L5. Crizano was the leading car down the straight with Mudd trailing behind. Going into the braking zone of T5, Mudd did not have any overtake established and Crizano was entitled to the inside line. Mudd miss the braking point, carried too much speed, created contact with Crizano and both cars went off track. While Mudd did gain the position as he recovered first, he did give the position back a couple corners later as Crizano recovered and caught back up. So, due to creating contact with another driver, Twitch.Muddh20 will be awarded a 2 point penalty.[/li]

***Steward's Note #1: The AI issue discovered with Narmand and Crizano's incident was unexpected. We ask that all drivers please keep that game mechanic in mind so any future incidents like that can be avoided. Thank you for your cooperation.

***Steward's Note #2: Per the guidelines mention in the Stewards Protest Form, drivers are to communicate with each other before a protest is to be sent in.

Round 2: Bahrain - Bahrain International Circuit (26Sep18 @ 9pm EDT)

[ul]
[li][ID: 577] The Stewards investigated contact that happened between Tron4949 and Muddh20 in T1 of L25. There was a 3 wide battle between Tron (left), Plasma (middle) and Mudd (right) going into the braking zone of T1. Plasma made the overtake on both cars through the middle and cleared them completely. As that overtake was completed, Tron maneuvered to the right sharply as Mudd was slightly veering to the left as both drivers were setting themselves up for T1. This caused tyre on tyre contact and sent Mudd through the curbing of T1. While there was no damage to Muddh and Tron did give the position up later in the lap, this incident did cost both drivers several seconds of time on the track and took them out of the battle for 3rd. Due to making the more drastic move that created the contact, Tron4949 will be awarded a 1 point penalty.[/li]
[li][ID: 578] The Stewards investigated contact between Muddh20 and PatLassard in T10 of L28. Going into T9 and T10, Muddh was the leading with with Pat trailing behind. In the apex of T10, Muddh held a clean and proper line, and Pat closed the gap quicker than anticipated due to being on fresher tyres and created contact to the rear of Muddh. This caused Muddh to spin, and lose several positions. Due to creating contact, PatLessard will be awarded a 2 point penalty.[/li]
[li][ID: 579] The Stewards were asked to investigate several moments in battle between Muddh20 and Iceman153 at Bahrain. During the review, the Stewards saw several moments of very hard and close racing, including moments of tyre on tyre contact at certain points. At no time did the Stewards observe any careless maneuvers or wreckless or deliberate actions that broke the PRL racing rules (some were on the line at best, but again both drivers were engaging in the hard style of battle). The Stewards have closed this investigation and no penalties will be awarded.[/li]

Round 3: China - Shanghai International Circuit (03Oct18 @ 9pm EDT)
[ul]
[li][ID: 584] The Stewards investigated a T2, L1 incident between Megaman and MuddH20. The Stewards have ruled that while there was no overtake established by Mudd and that Mega had the right to change lanes and could move to the inside line right in front of Mudd, but also Mudd was completely off throttle the whole time and that Mega's move did not give Mudd a chance to take evasive actions in an appropriate time to avoid contact with the rear of Mega's car. Due to this outcome, the Stewards have ruled this incident a racing deal and neither driver will be awarded a penalty.[/li]

[li][ID: 591] The Stewards investigated a T2, L1 incident between Bobino and Crizano. Crizano just established outside overtake on the exit of T2 (giving him rights to a car widths worth of room to the right side wall) when the contact happened with the RR tyre of Bobino. At this time as well, Bobino's corner exit was impacted by 2 cars in front of him making contact as well. Due to the quick nature of the contact and the outlier of other drivers effect Bobino's exit, the Stewards have ruled this a racing deal and no penalties will be awarded.[/li]

[li][ID: 621] The Stewards investigated a L18 incident between Darklol and Lamp. The Stewards have found Lamp at fault for creating the contact that sent both drivers off track and created wing damage on Darklol. The Stewards also note that after the contact, Lamp conceeded the position to Dark. Due to creating the contact, but giving the spot up in a sportsman's manor after, the Stewards are awarding Lamp the minimum of a 1 point penalty in this investigation.[/li]

[li][ID: 630] The Stewards investigated an incident between Nael and Zephyr off the lights at the start of the race. The Stewards have found Zephyr at fault in due to losing control of his car, which lead to the contact with Neal and giving him wing damage. Due that Zephyr's actions were not dangerous in nature and it was a matter of wheel spin on a wet track, the Stewards are ruling this as a Minor Penalty and Zephyr will be awarded a 2 point penalty.[/li]
[li][ID: 632] For starting the session before the organizers at the stratey screen which is against Rule 2.7, MuddH20 is awarded a 3 point penalty.[/li]

Round 13: Belgium - Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps (09Jan19 @ 9pm EST)
[ul]
[li][ID: 637] The Stewards reviewed a L3 incident between Falco and Neal. From the video provided, it can be seen that the car indicator arrow was red, but there is no way to tell at all how much overtake was established as the drivers went through a flat out bend (no view of the mirrors). It is also very hard to tell if a full car width worth of room was given to the inside lane when the contact happened. Due to inconclusive evidence, the Stewards are ruling this a racing deal and no penalty will be awarded.[/li]

[li][ID: 658] The Stewards investigated an incident on L20 between Iceman153 and Bobino12. The Stewards have found Iceman guilty of unsafely recovering from an accident, and backing up across the racing surface with cars in the immediate vicinity, and leading to a collision. The Stewards have ruled this a Major penalty and will award Iceman153 a 5 point penalty.[/li]
