Protest

All protests relating to a racing incident must be submitted within 48 hours of event completion by filling up the following form.

Appeals

[li]All appeals must be submitted within 48 hours of the publication of the Stewards Report as follows:

[li]Send an email to stewards@precisionracingleague.com[/li]
[li]The subject line must be in the following format: Appeal: [Investigation ID][/li]
[li]List your PRL username in the body text[/li]
[li]Your e-mail must explain why you feel the initial decision by the Stewards was wrong.[/li]
[/ul]
[/li]
[li]Appeals shall be reasonable, logical, based on sound evidence, and related to the PRL Racing Rules.[/li]
[li]Appeals that are frivolous, incorrectly submitted, or late will be dismissed.  Repeated appeals of this nature will result in disciplinary action.[/li]
[li]Only one appeal per incident is permitted.[/li]
[li]The Appeal will be reviewed by an extended PRL Stewarding team, and a decision will be announced in the respective championship’s Stewards Reports thread.[/li]
[li]Appeals that are unsuccessful will force a 90 day period where the driver submitting the appeal is ineligible to submit another appeal.[/li]

Round 4: Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (Dec 19)

[li][ID: 472] The 2nd row consisted of Matthew St.Germain (inside line, right side of the track) and Cristian Garreton Eissler (outside line, left side of the track). As the field approached the final corner on the pace lap and the pace car was pulling in to give the field the green flag, the Stewarding Team has determined that Cristain cut to the right too early and impeded Matthew's right to his line, to the point where Matthew had to get on the brakes to avoid contact, which also cost Matthew an additional position on the straightaway leading to Turn 1. Due to an Illegal Maneuver on the pace lap, Cristain will be awarded a 3 point penalty.[/li]

Round 8: Suzuka International Racing Course - Grand Prix (Jan 30)

[li][ID: 487] The Stewards investigated contact that happened exiting T13 of L12 between FMontini and Kenny Duval. FMontini had a very wide entrance into the corner (around 1.5 car's width), leaving the inside line wide open. Kenny drove his car down to the white line and held his position. Fmontini then tried to drive down to the white line before Kenny could establish any overtake.This is when the contact happened between the 2 drivers. Telemetry shows that Kenny did lift completely off the accelerator, but did not apply the brakes as FMontini came down. While PRL rules state it is the trailing's car duty to avoid the contact, the maneuver FMontini made would also be looked at as a block attempt in a turn. Due to the nature of this incident and both drivers equally responsible for this contact, the Stewarding Team has deemed this a racing deal and no penalties will be awarded.[/li]

Round 10: Watkins Glen International - Boot (Feb 13)

[li][ID: 493] The Stewards investigated an incident between Cristian Garreton and Kelly Thornton in Turn 9 of Lap 24. Kelly wrecked into the right side wall under his own accord exiting Turn 9 and then proceded to back up into the racing groove. Turn 9 is a bit of a blind corner, so as Cristian took the turn, he was not able to see Kelly until the last moment. Christain hugged the inside line (even put his left tires on the curbbing), but due to Kelly still backing up, contact was made and Christain sustained damage and lost positions. The Stewards deemed at the point of contact, there was no need for Kelly to back up any further to be able to get his car moving farward. Due to creating contact in a careless nature, the Stewards are awarding Kelly Thorton a 3 point penalty.[/li]
[li][ID: 494] The Stewards investigated an incident between Gary Schiling and Coen Evans in Turn 9 of Lap 26. Coen was trailing behind Gary going into the apex of Turn 9. Coen just had more momentum going through the turn and made slight contact to the rear of Gary. That contact lead to both drivers performing a half spin. Coen collected his car first, but then waited and returned the position back to Gary. So due to creating the contact, but not benifitting from it and returning the position, Coen will be awarded a 1 point penalty.[/li]
