Carrying over from 2021 S4

Round 10: Chicagoland

Penalties to be served:

  • For receiving 1 caution point at Homestead, Carlos Romero and Charles Sumner must not qualify at Chicagoland.
Caution and Protest Reviews:
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 10 caution. The Stewards have found Robert Tracy at fault for bouncing off the outside wall on the backstretch and moving left into Rob Besaw, causing him to enter up the track in T3 and trigger an incident.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 25 caution. The Stewards have found Abner Acosta at fault for moving left across the nose of Adam Zemke on the backstretch, going through the grass and back up into the track in T3, triggering an incident.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 38 caution. The Stewards have found Carlos Romero at fault for drifting up high and into Barron Hilton on the exit of T4, causing Hilton to try and catch hit and a 2nd hit occurred which resulted in a spin.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 56 caution. For the first part of the review, the Stewards ruled that Skip Gandy having to lift as his car was halfway on the apron on the fronts retch did not give Charles Sumner time to avoid contact with the rear of Skip's car. After that initial contact front stretch, Skip's car was moving right towards Trent Hutcheson, but there was a very noticeable amount of netcode between the 2 cars, which then triggered a multicar incident. Due to the check up and the netcode, the Stewards will not be giving a caution point for this review.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 96 caution. While the start of the caution was noticeable netcode between Bradley Holly and Brandon Walter on the backstretch, the Stewards are ruling that the contact still would have happened, but the severity of contact could be question. Because it was Bradley losing control and trying to catch his car that initiated this caution, the Stewards are issuing a partial penalty point to Bradley due to the questionable netcode.
  • During the Lap 10 caution, the Stewards have found Danny Cervantes at fault of not slowing properly and creating avoidable contact with Barron Hilton.

Penalties to be served the next race:
  • For receiving 3 caution points in a 5 race span, Carlos Romero will serve a 1 race suspension during Round 1 of 2022 S1.
  • For receiving 1 caution point at Chicagoland, Abner Acosta must not qualify for Round 1 of 2022 S1.

Round 1: Atlanta

Penalties to be served:

  • For receiving 3 caution points in a 5 race span, Carlos Romero will serve a 1 race suspension during Round 1 of 2022 S1.
  • For receiving 1 caution point at Chicagoland, Abner Acosta must not qualify for Round 1 of 2022 S1.
Caution and Protest Reviews:
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 1 incident. The Stewards have found Danny Cervantes at fault for getting into the LR quarter of Charles Sumner approaching T3, triggering a multicar incident. Due to hitting Charles' LR quarter twice before a spin occurred, the Stewards are adding an additional partial point to Danny for the severity of those actions on the first lap of a race.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 14 caution. The contact happened on the entrance to T3. The Stewards noted that CM Pennington did not have any overlap established and went for a move to the inside. During that time, Aaron made a very slow arch to T3 and by the time he tried to go to the bottom line, CM's nose was just there enough that contact happened and spin occurred. The Stewards are ruling that the action of both drivers equally contributed to this contact, and they will share the caution point.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 41 caution. The Stewards have found Andrew Payne at fault for getting into the LR of Matthew Long on the exit of T2, triggering a multicar incident.
  • During the Lap 41 caution, the Stewards have found Daniel Alie at fault for not properly slowing down when approaching the wreck, and causing avoidable damage to another vehicle. The Stewards are penalizing a partial caution point for this review.
  • The Stewards reviewed an incident on pit road while under caution. The Stewards have found Bob Clement at fault for clipping Jose Medina while trying to enter his pit stall. The Stewards are penalizing a partial caution point for this review.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 46 restart. While the car in front of Richard Regan had damage, the Stewards rule that that car was not off pace and had a small reaction to a check up in front of him, and Richard made an unnecessary 3 wide move before T1, resulting in a restart violation.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 50 caution. The Stewards have found Ryan Guedel at fault for losing control and spinning off of T2.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 111 caution. The contact happened on the entry to T1 with Octavio Rondoletto as the leader, with Taylor Burris as the last car on the lead lap. From a racing rule perspective, the Stewards rule that Taylor held a continuous line and did not deviate or make a movement or change of speed in any devious way, and that Octavio tried to go to the left of Taylor where the apron turns into the banking of T1. While Octavio did request a few seconds earlier for Taylor to move to the right, the Stewards have ruled that with an additional lap car up high and off pace and with Taylor holding a consistent and predictable line, that there was no breach of lapped car (blue flag) etiquette. With that noted, the Stewards ruled that Octavio's move to the non-racing surface was a self-made reactionary move, ill-advised with the turn banking approaching, and was the leading cause to the contact. With that ruling, the Stewards are awarding the fault of this caution to Octavio.
  • During the Lap 111 caution, the Stewards have found Octavio at fault for not holding his brakes and rolling his car into the way of incoming traffic.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 122 caution. The Stewards have found Gregg Wilson at fault for moving too far to the right coming up to the entry of T1, and created contact with Taylor Stout, which resulted in a spin.
  • During the Lap 122 caution, the Stewards have found Gregg at fault for not holding his brakes and rolling his car into the way of incoming traffic.
  • The Stewards reviewed a protest of contact on Lap 7 between Ryan Guedel and Joshua Daniels. The Stewards have found Ryan at fault for moving to the right on the backstretch and creating contact with Joshua that put both cars into the wall and with lasting damage. The Stewards are giving Ryan a partial caution point for the damage caused.
  • There will be no penalties on the Lap 128 restart for early 3-wides due to some cars being very off pace. with damage.
  • The Stewards did find 1 case of a false black flag clearing. This was for Drew Deweese while under the Lap 111 caution for passing the pace car. While Drew originally passed the pace car with a large group of other cars, the sim called for him to fall back. While he did let all other cars pass by him, he still needed to wait for the pass car and then to fall behind the lead lap cars. Due to his actions not showing that he was trying to abuse the system and just misunderstood due to cars being allowed to pass the pace car originally, there will be no caution point and the Stewards will add the 1 lap back to Drew's final standing (will not result in a change of position).

Penalties to be served the next race:
  • The following drivers must not qualify at Talladega due to penalties received at Atlanta: Danny Cervantes, Gregg Wilson, Ryan Guedel, and Andrew W Payne.

Round 2: Talladega

Penalties to be served:

  • The following drivers must not qualify at Talladega due to penalties received at Atlanta: Danny Cervantes, Gregg Wilson, Ryan Guedel, and Andrew W Payne.
Caution and Protest Reviews:
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 1 caution. While the Stewards recognized before this caution, there was a check up event that lead to contact between Pete Blandon and Barron Hilton and both cars moving out of line. After that contact however, both cars were in control and holding steady lines. It was at that point that Mike Witt then made contact into to LR of Pete in T3, resulting in a spin. The Stewards find Mike Witt at fault for this caution.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 16 caution. The Stewards have found Joao Guerra at fault for moving left into Rob Besaw on the backstraight, triggering a spin.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 40 caution. The Stewards have ruled that the main cause of the contact between CM Pennington and Charles Sumner was due to CM making a late block attempt on the exit T2, as Charles did attempt a check up, but contact still happened. The Stewards are issuing the full caution point of this contact to CM.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 46 caution. The Stewards have ruled that as going through the bumpy parts of the apron and the grass inhibited Abner Acosta from being able to slow down enough before re-entering the track in T3, and that Abner made sufficient efforts to prevent that, it just wasn't possible. With that determination, the Stewards then find Josh Conquer at fault for a bump draft directly into the LR quarter panel of Abner on the backstretch, which sent Abner on that trajectory through the apron and grass.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 55 caution. The Stewards have found Barron Hilton at fault for a RR quarter panel bump draft to Bob Clement on the backstraight, resulting in a spin.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 59 caution. The Stewards ruled that Jose Medina's jump into the bottom lane was acceptable, and that Barron Hilton was at fault for making contact to the LR quarter panel, resulting in a spin.
There was an appeal made to this ruling on the basis of a 2nd check up that lead to the contact. The Stewards recognized that after the original move was made and cars evened out, Jose did drop from 168mph to 165mph at the time Barron went from 168mph to 170mph. The Stewards are ruling that the speed difference is comparable enough to lessen some fault, but the Stewards will still be issuing a partial point to Barron because of the fact he was hanging on the LR of Jose, instead of trying to square up or just making a move to the inside since Jose was a little up the track.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 75 caution. The Stewards have found Matthew Long at fault for moving left on the front stretch and into the RR quarter panel of Tom Emasle, resulting in a spin.
  • The Stewards reviewed a Lap 37 protest of contact between Bob Clement and Drew Dewese that lead to a wreck, but no caution. The Stewards have ruled that at the point of contact, both drivers were moving towards one another and share the responsibility of the contact. Because of the outcome of no caution, this ruling will a racing deal and no points will be issued.

Penalties to be served the next race:
  • The following drivers must not qualify at Rockngham due to penalties received at Talladega: Mike Witt, Joao Guerra, CM Pennington, Josh Conquer, Barron Hilton, and Matthew Long.
  • The following drivers must not qualify at Rockingham for not being in attendance to serve a penalty from a prior race: Gregg Wilson, Ryan Guedel, and Andrew W Payne.
  • Barron Hilton will have an additional "No Qualifying" penalty to serve in Round 4 due to 1.5pts at Talladega.

Round 3: Rockingham

Penalties to be served:

  • The following drivers must not qualify at Rockingham due to penalties received at Talladega: Mike Witt, Joao Guerra, CM Pennington, Josh Conquer, Barron Hilton, and Matthew Long.
  • The following drivers must not qualify at Rockingham for not being in attendance to serve a penalty from a prior race: Gregg Wilson, Ryan Guedel, and Andrew W Payne.
Caution and Protest Reviews:
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 3 caution. The Stewards have found James Duerr at fault for pushing up and into Bob Clement in the entry of T1, resulting in a spin.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 8 caution. The Stewards have found Mark Kaelin at fault for a self spin off of T2.
  • There were two separate incidents on Lap 46 that occurred at the same time as the caution came out. For the incident on the front stretch, it started as Lou Christian as moving to the right with Patrick Cowgill to his outside. As Lou was approaching Patrick, you can see a sizeable gap and damage appear on the cars before the contact was made, Lou's car make a slight hop, and then both cars clip through each other showing a big netcode disconnect between the 2. Because of the size of the netcode and the unrealistic nature it sent the 2 cars in, the Stewards will not give a penalty for this review and will rule it as netcode.
  • Also on Lap 46, the Stewards have found Trent Dinkle at fault for losing control on the exit of T2.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 85 caution. The Stewards have found Kris Hudson at fault for losing of control off of T2 and creating contact with Joshua Daniels.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 99 caution. While the Stewards recognize that Taylor Burris was making a lazy move to the left and taking a line through the middle of the front stretch, there was not blatantly dangerous blocking attempt (sharp, late move) in the eyes of the Stewards that would have lead directly to the contact of the nose of Joshua Daniels. With that determination, the Stewards have found Joshua at fault for making contact with the LR of Burris, resulting in a spin.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 118 caution. The Stewards ruled that Barron Hilton's little wiggle off of T2 was the sole cause of the contact that sent Taylor Burris into a spin, the Stewards also recognize that the wiggle was less than a car's width and that Barron had very little room for error due to Taylor being so close to him off of corner exit. With that factor, the Stewards have ruled that Barron is sole at fault for this caution, but the penalty will be reduced to a partial point due to the spacing circumstances.
  • The Stewards are issuing a code of conduct (restart) penalty to Taylor Burris the Lap 123 restart for never aligning himself to the front row, even after receiving instructions from Race Control and creating a disadvantage and dangerous situation for the outside line.
  • The Stewards wish to add that while the Stewards would not punish a driver for a tire strategy call given our leagues tire restrictions, however with over 25 mins left on the timer and 78 laps left in the race, the Stewards severely disagree with Taylor's lack of judgement for not repairing damage after a very hard hit to his RF in the previous caution, and staying out and putting himself in front of the entire field. While there is no direct penalty for this action, the Stewards are putting the whole league on notice that unless it is what we would consider "crunch time" at the end of the race, these types of call are very looked down upon as they will only lead to more chaos and wrecks and the Stewards will not hesitate to issue a code of conduct penalty if needed.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 125 caution. The Stewards have found Mike Witt at fault for getting into the rear of rear of Joshua Daniels off of the exit of T2, resulting in a wreck.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 143 caution. The Stewards have found Richard Regan at fault for up high on the exit of T2 during a 3 wide, and creating contact with Joshua Daniels.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 148 caution. While the Stewards rule that Kris Hudson creating contact to the rear of Tom Emasie on the exit of T4 was the cause of the caution, the Stewards also recognize the lift of Tom in a spot where you wouldn't expect a driver to lift. Because of the lift, yet also because Kris also had more room to the left to attempt an overtake seeing Tom losing speed, the Stewards are issuing a partial penalty to Kris for this review.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 154 caution. The Stewards have found Barron Hilton at fault for bouncing off the wall exiting t2 and moving down into Kris Hudson, resulting in a wreck.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Last lap wreck. The Stewards have found Taylor Stout at fault for moving down multiple lanes in T2, which resulted in contact with joshua Daniels and triggering a multicar wreck.

Penalties to be served the next race:
  • For being charged 3 caution points in a 2 race span, Barron Hilton will serve a 1 race suspension at Texas.
  • The following drivers must not qualify at Texas due to penalties received at Rockingham Mike Witt, Kris Hudson, Richard Regan, James Duerr, Joshua Daniels, Mark Kaelin, Taylor Stout and Trent Dinkle.
  • The following drivers must not qualify at Texas for not being in attendance to serve a penalty from a prior race: Gregg Wilson and Andrew W Payne.
  • Barron Hilton will have 2 additional "No Qualifying" penalties to serve in Round 5 and 6 due to 1.5pts at Talladega and Rockingham each.
  • Kris Hudson will have an additional "No Qualifying" penalty to serve in Round 5 due to 1.5pts at Rockingham.

Round 4: Texas

Penalties to be served:

  • For being charged 3 caution points in a 2 race span, Barron Hilton will serve a 1 race suspension at Texas.
  • The following drivers must not qualify at Texas due to penalties received at Rockingham Mike Witt, Kris Hudson, Richard Regan, James Duerr, Joshua Daniels, Mark Kaelin, Taylor Stout and Trent Dinkle.
  • The following drivers must not qualify at Texas for not being in attendance to serve a penalty from a prior race: Gregg Wilson and Andrew W Payne.
Caution and Protest Reviews:
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 5 caution. The Stewards have found Bob Clement at fault for hitting the wall on the front stretch on his own accord, and bouncing into Mark Kaelin, resulting in spins.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 23 caution. The Stewards recognize that both Joao Guerra and Drew Dewese were moving towards one another at the point of contact, making it a shared responsibility on both drivers and they would split the caution point. The Stewards also recognize that Drew was moving left (to the low side) on the exit of T4 in a spot where that is not the normal course of action to take, which would have caught Joao off guard. With that determined, the Stewards will not give Joao the other partial point for this review.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 27 restart. While the Stewards recognized the fact that Gregg Wilson had a lift and a poor timed start, Brandon Walters not only jumped past him completely, but got a jump that closed him up to the rows ahead as well. The Stewards are ruling that as an excessive jump and will issue a restart penalty.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 37 caution. The Stewards have found Daniel Alie at fault for moving to the right off of T4 and across the nose of Scotty Johnson, resulting in a wreck.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 76 caution. The Stewards observed a sizable netcode contact between Jaymes O'Brien and Ryan Guedel on the front straight, as neither driver made a move worthy of contact, There was also a 2nd hit involving a big gap of netcode as well that set the wrecking event in motion. Due to that netcode, no point will be given for this review.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 87 caution. The Stewards have found Matthew Long at fault for turning too far left entering the dogleg and creating contact with Joshua Daniels, triggering a wreck.

Penalties to be served the next race:
  • The following drivers must not qualify at Worldwide due to penalties received at Texas: Bob Clement, Daniel Alie, and Matthew Long.
  • Due to not being in attendance at Texas to serve a penalty, James Duerr must not qualify at Worldwide.

Round 5: World Wide Technologies

Penalties to be served:

  • The following drivers must not qualify at Worldwide due to penalties received at Texas: Bob Clement, Daniel Alie, and Matthew Long.
  • Due to not being in attendance at Texas to serve a penalty, James Duerr must not qualify at Worldwide.
Caution and Protest Reviews:
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 1 caution. The Stewards have found Richard Regan at fault for losing control in T3 and creating contact with Patrick Cowgill, which set off chain reaction event that lead to a wreck.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 19 caution. The caution started when Eric Papineau got loose off the exit of T2 and pancaked the wall, which made Rob Besaw have to make a sharp move to avoid contact, but lead to him spinning himself out. The Stewards are ruling that due to the evasive action, Rob will have no fault in this caution. The Stewards also rule that even though he did not spin, Eric's loss of car control forced Rob into that motion, and Eric will receive a partial penalty point for this review.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 52 caution. The Stewards have found Lou Christian at fault for a self spin off of T2.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 71 caution. The Stewards have found CM Pennington at fault for a self spin off of T2.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 82 caution. The Stewards have found Barron Hilton at fault for a self spin off of T2.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 104 caution. The Stewards have found Patrick Cowgill at fault for a self spin off of T2.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 121 caution. The Stewards recognized that Gregg Wilson's engine let going in the apex of T3/4, well past the entrance to the access lane to pit road. With that though, there was one extra opportunity Gregg had to entry pit road with concrete, but missed that opportunity. The Stewards are ruling that because of the situational spacing and Gregg trying to tow immediately once he completely missed pit road, the Stewards will only issue a partial point for this caution.
  • There was a Lap 76 protest of contact between Gregg Wilson and Patrick Cowgill. The Stewards have found Gregg at fault for getting loose in T1 and creating contact with Patrick, leading to a spin and contact with Barron Hilton. Because this should have been a caution with Patrick going into a complete spin on the racing surface, the Stewards are issuing Gregg a full caution point for this review.
  • The Stewards reviewed a Lap 77 protest between Taylor Stout and Adam Zemke. While the Stewards note Taylor drifting to the right on the front stretch with Adam to his outside as they approached the entrance to T1, the Stewards observed a netcode contact that sent Taylor right, then both ears clipping through one another and causing them to get stuck together of sorts. Because of that observation, the Stewards are ruling this as a matter of netcode and no penalty will be given.
  • The Stewards reviewed a Lap 78 protest of contact between Waldo Walden and Adam Zemke. The Stewards have found Waldo at fault for getting loose off of T2 and coming down into Adam, causing a spin, damage, and loss of track positions.

Penalties to be served the next race:
  • The following drivers must not qualify at Wilkesboro due to penalties received at Worldwide: Barron Hilton, Gregg Wilson, CM Pennington, Richard Regan, Lou Christian, Patrick Cowgill, and Waldo Walden,
  • Due to not being in attendance to serve a prior penalty, James Duerr must not qualify at Wilkesboro.
  • Barron Hilton will have an additional "No Qualifying" penalty to serve in Round 7 due to 1.5pts at Rockingham.

Round 6: North Wilkesboro

Penalties to be served:

  • The following drivers must not qualify at Wilkesboro due to penalties received at Worldwide: Barron Hilton, Gregg Wilson, CM Pennington, Richard Regan, Lou Christian, Patrick Cowgill, and Waldo Walden,
  • Due to not being in attendance to serve a prior penalty, James Duerr must not qualify at Wilkesboro.
  • Barron Hilton will have an additional "No Qualifying" penalty to serve in Round 7 due to 1.5pts at Rockingham.
Caution and Protest Reviews:
  • The Stewards reviewed the events on the pace lap before the Race went to Green. The Stewards are ruling that the contact caused by Bob Clement on the backstretch was due to a hardware issue and not the direct fault of Bob. The Stewards will not issue a penalty due to the hardware failure.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 2 caution. The caution was triggered after Gregg Wilson (started the race in the its), was leaving pit road and then came to a stop to let the pack go by. Due to Gregg's efforts to stay out of the way and the lack of an apron North Wilkesboro has to avoid the traffic, the Stewards will only issue a partial caution point for this review.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 9 caution. The Stewards have found CM Pennington at fault for a self spin on the front stretch.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 24 caution. The Stewards have found Taylor Stout at fault for losing control on the front stretch and spinning back up the track and into Jaymes O'Brien.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 32 caution. The Stewards have found Mark Kaelin at fault for losing control on the front stretch and spinning back up into traffic, triggering a multicar wreck.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 45 caution. The Stewards have found Mark Kaelin at fault for a self spin on the entrance of T1.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 55 caution. While Lou Christian did not spin until the exit of T4, the Stewards have ruled that the contact Gregg Wilson made to the rear of Lou entering T3 was the cause of the loss of control that Lou could not catch. Due to that ruling, the Stewards have found Gregg Wilson at fault for this caution.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 128 caution. While Abner Acosta was moving right on the front stretch off of the exit of T4 with Carlos Romero to his outside as a lapped car, the Stewards observed a large gap of netcode between the cars that sent Carlos into a spin. Based on the trajectory of each vehicle, the Stewards are ruling that neither driver made a move worthy of contact and no penalty will be given due to the netcode issue.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 135 caution. The Stewards have found Scotty Johnson at fault for a self spin coming off of T4.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 140 caution. The Stewards have found Rob Besaw at fault for a self spin entering T1.
After he was cleared of the Besaw spin on Lap 140 and the caution was already out, the Stewards are giving a partial caution point to Matthew Long for a self spin off of T2 which led to contact with other vehicles.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 152 caution. The Stewards have found Mark Kaelin at fault for a self spin in T1.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 179 caution. The Stewards have found Josh Conquer at fault for getting into the LR of Scotty Johnson in T4, resulting in a spin.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 187 caution. The contact between Scotty Johnson and Josh Conquer enter T1 was the cause of the spin. While the Stewards note that Josh was turning left at the point of contact with Scotty, the Stewards note that Scotty's late turn in was note natural with the entry of the corner and was the leading cause of the contact. While a situation like this would be a 50/50 split between both drivers responsible, the Stewards will not give John a penalty for his proper turn in, and Scotty will only received his partial point for this caution.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 195 caution. The Stewards have found Byron McDonald at fault for getting into the LR of Daniel Alie in T2, resulting in a spin.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 211 caution. The Stewards have found Eric Papineau at fault for getting into the LR of Drew Dewese entering T1, resulting in a spin.
During the Lap 211 caution, the Stewards have found Drew Dewese at fault of dangerously not holding is brake and coming down the track and creating contact with another driver.

Penalties to be served the next race:
  • The following drivers must not qualify at Kentucky due to penalties received at Wilkesboro: Gregg Wilson, Josh Conquer, Taylor Stout, Eric Papineau, Scotty Johnson, Byron McDonald, and Rob Besaw.
  • Due to not being in attendance to serve a prior penalty, James Duerr, Barron Hilton, and Patrick Cowgill must not qualify at Kentucky.
  • Barron Hilton and Scotty Johnson will have an additional "No Qualifying" penalty to serve in Round 8 due to 1.5pts at a prior race.
  • For being found at fault for 3 cautions in a single race, Mark Kaelin will serve 2 race suspensions at Kentucky and Daytona Road.
  • For being found at fault for 3 cautions in the last 5 races, CM Pennington will serve a 1 race suspension at Kentucky.

  • For being found at fault for 3 cautions in the last 5 races, CM Pennington will serve a 1 race suspension at Kentucky.
Caution and Protest Reviews:
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 82 caution. The Stewards have found Lou Christian at fault for a self spin off of T4.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 88 restart. The Stewards have found Byron McDonald in violation of a jump start that lead to unnecessary 3 wides before T1.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 88 caution. The Stewards studied the movements, positioning and speed comparison of Richard Regan and Matthew Long throughout T1/T2 up to the moment of the incident on the exit of T2. While Richard was following closer than needed in the Stewards opinions on a cold tire restart, that does not negate the fact that Richard held a steady line, the speed differential was consistent, and that on the Steward's replay there was enough of a gap of netcode that sent Matthew into a skew to the left, which then triggered off the incident. With those factors taken into account, the Stewards are ruling this caution as a netcode issue and no penalty will be given.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 97 caution. The Stewards have found Bob Clement at fault for a self spin entering T3.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 108 caution. The Stewards have found Carlos Romero at fault for a self spin off of T2..

Penalties to be served the next race:
  • The following drivers must not qualify at Daytona Road due to penalties received at Kentucky: Lou Christian, Bob Clement, Carlos Romero
  • Due to not being in attendance to serve a prior penalty, James Duerr, Gregg Wilson, Josh Conquer, Eric Papineau and Patrick Cowgill must not qualify at Kentucky.

Round 9: Daytona Oval

Penalties to be served:

  • The following drivers must not qualify at Daytona due to a penalty received at a prior race that hasn't been served yet: Bob Clement, Carlos Romero, James Duerr, Gregg Wilson, Scotty Johnson, and Patrick Cowgill.
Caution and Protest Reviews:
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 16 caution. The Stewards note that the caution triggered on T3 started with contact between CM Pennington and Lou Christian as they met in the middle while going in opposite directions. The Stewards are ruling that CM will be responsible for his half of the contact as there was no need to wash up half of the track as he was not making a passing move. The Stewards are ruling that Lou will not be given his partial point due to his move being in reaction to Barron Hilton getting into the wall in front of him, and there for his move was warranted.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 26 caution. While the Stewards note that Eric Papineau would have been the responsible party for the contact that triggered the incident as he was moving left off of T4 and towards Adam Zemke, however the netcode gap between Eric and Adam was enough that the Stewards could not say with 100% confidence that the contact would have absolutely happened regardless. Due to that ruling, there will be no caution point for this review due to netcode.
  • The Stewards reviewed the Lap 69 caution. The caution happened on the Front Stretch when contact happened between Pat Harvey and Carlos Romero. Though Carlos hit the back of Pat, the Stewards are finding Pat at fault for this caution as he was a heavy damaged car, running the bottom lane off pace, then changed lanes unnecessarily as Carlos was leading a train of 3 cars with significantly more pace, and having to make a reactionary move to Pat's lane changing.
  • The Stewards reviewed the incident on the Last Lap involving the leading 3 cars coming off of T4. The Stewards have found Ryan Guedel at fault for moving right and creating contact with Taylor Stout, triggering the incident.

Penalties to be served the next race:
  • The following drivers must not qualify at Auto Club due to a penalty received at a prior race that hasn't been served yet: Pat Harvey, Ryan Guedel, Gregg Wilson, Scotty Johnson, and Patrick Cowgill.
