Protest

[ul]
[li]All protests relating to a racing incident must be submitted within 48 hours of event completion. Protests that are submitted late will be dismissed.[/li]
[li]We suggest drivers involved in an on-track situation to talk it over with one another first before turning in a Stewarding Protest. Take it upon yourselves to watch the replays, even in slow motion if needed.[/li]
[li]Protests that are incorrectly submitted or late will be dismissed. Please contact the Chief Steward directly if you are having issues making a submission before the 48 hour time limit.[/li]
[li]The driver being protested may be contacted by the Chief Steward if their PoV is deemed necessary, either by the website private message system or by email. The protested driver then has 48 hours to submit his/her own evidence. A ruling can be made by the Stewards without needing the Protested driver's PoV. [/li]
[li]The incident will be reviewed by the Stewards, and a decision will be announced in the respective championship’s "Stewards Reports" topic, along with the Incident ID.[/li]
[/ul]

Appeals

[ul]
[li]All appeals must be submitted within 48 hours of the publication of the Stewards Report as follows:
[ul]
[li]Send an email to stewards@precisionracingleague.com[/li]
[li]The subject line must be in the following format: Appeal: [Investigation ID][/li]
[li]List your PRL username in the body text[/li]
[li]Your e-mail must explain why you feel the initial decision by the Stewards was wrong.[/li]
[/ul]
[/li]
[li]Appeals shall be reasonable, logical, based on sound evidence, and related to the PRL Racing Rules.[/li]
[li]Appeals that are frivolous, incorrectly submitted, or late will be dismissed.  Repeated appeals of this nature will result in disciplinary action.[/li]
[li]Only one appeal per incident is permitted.[/li]
[li]The Appeal will be reviewed by an extended PRL Stewarding team, and a decision will be announced in the respective championship’s Stewards Reports thread.[/li]
[li]If a driver loses 2 Appeals in a 30 day period, they will have a 60 day ban placed on them before being able to Appeal another ruling by the Stewards.[/li]
[/ul]

Penalties

[ul]
[li]The penalties that can be awarded for infractions of the rules include time penalties, points deductions, position penalties, race disqualifications, grid penalties, race suspensions, or you may be made to start the next race from the pits.[/li]
[li]More severe penalties may be given in some circumstances.  The PRL Stewards reserve the right to award any penalty they feel is appropriated.[/li]
[li]Some protests will result in a warning rather than a penalty, but a second warning within 3 months may result in a penalty.[/li]
[/ul]

Round 3 - Imola (Jan 7 2020)
[ul]
[li][ID 2020-02] The stewards investigated contact between Eduardo Avila Gac and Christopher Pfeffer on Lap 15. Into the braking zone Eduardo failed to establish overlap on Christopher, giving rights to the apex to Christopher. Following contact, the position gained was not given back. Therefore, the stewards find Eduardo at fault for the contact and have issued a 10-point major penalty.[/li]
[li][ID 2020-03] The stewards investigated contact between Leif Peterson and Ignacio Hortal on Lap 6.  Entering the braking zone, Ignacio initiated contact with Leif resulting in a spin off-track. The position gained was not given back to Leif, therefore Ignacio has been issued a 10-point major penalty for the collision as well as breaking PRL Racing Rule 7.5.[/li]
[li][ID 2020-04] The stewards investigated a blue flag incident involving Horacio Calquin and Joey Trungale. Based on the evidence submitted, the stewards have found this to be a racing incident with no penalty issued. Horatio was not close enough to Joey and the resulting spin was of his own actions. Joey's line was predictable and avoidable.[/li]

Round 4 - Road America (Jan 14)
[ul]
[li][2020-05] The stewards investigated a collision between Justin Rehm and Diego Ignacio Portell Garrido on Lap 1. Diego made an aggressive move to the inside of Justin. As Diego's tires left the racing surface in an attempt to establish inside position on Justin, the stewards have found Diego at fault and have issued a 10-point Major penalty. This is Diego's second Major this season, and by rule, Diego will be disqualified for Round 5 at Daytona.[/li]
[li][2020-06] The stewards investigated a collision between David Duino and Diego Ignacio Portell Garrido on Lap 2. On corner exit, David was spun by contact from behind by Diego. In reviewing the evidence, the stewards have found that Diego lifted slightly but did not make any attempt to avoid the collision. The stewards have issued Diego a 15-point Major penalty for this incident. This is Diego's third Major this season. By rule, Diego has been disqualified for the remainder of the 2020S1 GTE Sportscar Championship.[/li]
[li][2020-07] Christopher Pfeffer entered the race with an incorrect car. By PRL rules, a disqualification for this race has been issued.[/li]

Round 5 - Daytona International Speedway - Road Course (Jan 21)
[ul]
[li][2020-08] The stewards investigated a collision between Mike Burnett and James Hebb into Turn 1. As the following car initiated contact with zero overlap into the braking zone, he is found at fault. Hebb has been issued a 10-point major penalty.[/li]
[li][2020-09] The stewards investigated contact between Leif Peterson and Ken Huber  Entering the braking zone, Leif initiated contact with Ken resulting in a spin off-track. The position gained was not given back, therefore Leif has been issued a 10-point major penalty for the collision as well as breaking PRL Racing Rule 7.5.[/li]
[li][2020-10] The stewards investigated a collision between Jose Malbran and Leif Peterson that also collected Horacio Calquin at turn 5 on Lap 5. Jose did not establish overlap to Leif and aggressively moved to the left entering the braking zone creating contact. As a result, Leif loses control and takes out Horacio as he apexed the turn. For his actions Jose has been issued a 10-point major with a 2-point car multiplier penalty.[/li]
[li][2020-11] The stewards investigated contact between Jose Malbran and Ken Huber at Turn 1. With Malbran trailing into the braking zone, Huber placed his car to the outside. Malbran made a move toward the apex and pulled alongside Huber. Contact occurs when Huber turns in for an early apex. The stewards are ruling this incident as a racing incident and no penalties will be issued.[/li]
