Good morning everyone. Sorry I didn't get around posting this last night with all the other admin things I was doing, as I see a few guys have looked at the race threads and notice a hot topic that's already been going on between the organizers.
So our finale this year/season is Nashville Fairgrounds. That race was also the finale last year. To be quite frank, short tracks are a black eye for this league. I wish it wasn't, I wish guys had better race craft and didn't push their equipment too hard to cause spins and contacts, but I can't remember the last time that we got all the lapse in and did not hit the timer at a short track due to an excess amount of cautions. Season 3 was the perfect example as well, we averaged under 3 cautious per race, yet the one short track race we did, we had a dozen.
There is a clause in the Rule saying that management team has the right to review the schedule, a clause that we have not used on on but oval side since I took over many years ago, but I am willing to put up a discussion for this race. The organizer vote was split, so now I'm bringing the vote to the entire roster. We're only gonna have two options for this vote. Looking at iRacing schedule for Weeks 11 and 12, I'm going to take Richmond out of the mix since that is another track that has not been good for the league in the past, and that leavesAuto Club Chicagoland. So the vote will be to stay as is and race Nashville Fairgrounds, or skip ahead and we will race Auto Club Chicagoland before the official series does. Feel free to discuss.
