The two tracks in Red for the final 2 chase races have replaced  Mid-Ohio and Bristol. We took a track that was raced at some point in the season and replaced those tracks because no one wants two road courses, especially in the chase and ending at Bristol seems very lackluster.

Incident System (Over all 20 weeks inc the chase.)
[ul]
[li]Tier 1 - 65 Incidents - 50% reduction in points earned for the race in which you reach this limit.(Example you score 20 points, reduced to 10.) This is considered to be a probation penalty.[/li]
[li]Tier 2 - 100 Incidents - Suspension the following race. (You can still watch the race, join practice and help your team or crew chief / spot  but must not use the default iRacing text or voice channel.)[/li]
[li]Tier 3 - 120 Incidents - Driver will be suspended for the remainder of the season. You also lose your guaranteed seat and have to earn it back like a new driver.[/li]
[/ul]
A tier 1 penalty is considered probation. As such, it can be used as a drop week.

Earning points back from an incident free race or by missing a race with notification has been removed. The current numbers above take that into consideration. All you need is one clean race and you already have an advantage in this system.

[li]Leader may choose their lane for all starts and restarts.[/li]
[li]All drivers will have 1 drop week for the regular season[/li]
[li]Regular season wins lock you in the chase and net 3 chase points each[/li]
[li]Field size will be 32 for the season. Max team size is still 4 point earning drivers and a minimum of 2[/li]
[li]Removed 10 lap minimum to score position points. [/li]
[li]Starting at the top of the hour, 8pm EST) we will hold our drivers meeting. The final 20 minutes of practice are dedicated to pit parties. All drivers must vacate the track or check up and join the field.[/li]

Posted above are the vast majority of rule changes for next season. Some things are still subject to change until we open signups in week 11.

I listened to all of your feedback for this season and the changes above reflect that. Also this was passed around to a handful of drivers to get opinions and the feedback has been very positive. Our goal is fun, clean racing for all involved. At no point do we wish to ever penalize drivers and these changes reflect that. Even more than this season, the rules are set for the field to police themselves and takes us mostly out of the picture.

I think Mid Ohio and Bristol need to stay on the schedule. Other than that, I'm good with everything.

Only thing I am against is limiting field size to 32, I would just go to 40 if you find suitable people honestly.

I'm fine with having 32 as a soft limit but if we have more decent drivers in the events than we have seats, we could add them anyway and push as high as 40. I just don't want to advertise 40 seats and end up taking people regardless of finish in the Race Your Way In.

After 3-4 races in a season, we ended up with less than 30 to race. We always start full and lost a few after a few races. Unfortunately, not all drivers are passionated as us. Some drivers will leave a championship after a few races when they realize they can't win it.

I agree i say we open it to a full field. As Jerome says well probably lose 8-10 guys pretty quick.

Also, I think we should end on mid Ohio and Bristol as well. Just cause it's kind of a quirky ending, and that makes it fun. I mean I'm quirky and that makes me fun. ;)

It wouldn't be that hard, could we throw up a poll? Just see what everyone thinks on the matter.

well I need to let yall know that more then likely season 9 I will be missing. you guys know the wife isn't well and I need to take a summer off from racing so if she says hey lets go some where we can go. I honestly don't know how much time I have left with her I am hoping many more years all though she can be a pain in the ass. but I have to look at the other side that in 1-2 months we find out if they remove the stomach. odds of survival are 50/50. if she survives the chance of her cancer spreading is 60-70 percent. if they don't remove her stomach she cant eat so yeah kinda stuck here. season 8 has been a hell of a season and some great racing. I will be back for season 10 for sure. all I ask is ya keep the wife and I in your prayers and thoughts and hope when I come back for season 10 I find the speed pill lmao

I flattered that you would say that but I will also say that we have a great group of guys that if we all worked together we could probably see many of us in the pro series

We will definitely all miss you John. Not going to be the same without seeing you at every race but look forward to seeing you return at a later season.

The option of having part time seats is still on the table for any former member of the series(Invite only) who can't make a full season. You would be more than welcome to take one of those spots and race with us at your convenience. They will be non point earning seats so would not take away anything from full time drivers. Either way man, My thoughts and prayers will be with you buddy.
