The S3 schedule released today calls for fixed setups for the US F2000. Does that change our approach here? And are we following the same schedule?

We are following the same schedule as Iracing, however we will use open setups not fixed.

There might not be many setups available because it's fixed in Iracing however. I think at least at the start league members will have to help each other out. If anyone funds a decent set in the forms please post it for the community. I will create a separate forum page for setups.

There most likely won’t be any setups available for this car. Unless there is another league running this car somewhere there is no point to anyone else making any type of setups for the car for the general populace

Quick question,

I assume we are taking weeks 1 through 10?

If there was post to this question sorry. Trying to learn the site :D

Judging by the schedule for our races I would say weeks 2-11 which is what it has been in the past. Our season starts on the 18th which is iRacing’s second week.

Race thread will indicate it soon, but for this series, yes it should match 100%. Situation were it may not match is when we would need to start or end session in the dark. iRacing don't do 4 hours session like us. So if iRacint stsrt time is 7h,it means we would need to start the session at 4h am to support the 3 hours practice. So in that scenario, we can't match iRacing. It means we will make the session start a 6am and race will be near 9am (high level example)

Pretty good schedule, IMO. They're finally mixing in some tracks we haven't seen in a while. Miami is a good one and I really like Barber too. I've never run an oval race, so round 2 will be interesting.

For that reason alone it should be a fixed setup series. Not only that this an "AMATUER" series. Kind of ridiculous that this is open setup in my opinion.

Yeah every season we have the same discussion, a few people want fixed sets, a few people want open sets, the rest don't care either way. The truth is this series is in it's 19th season and we have always had open set ups (or at least since season 8, I wasn't around for the first 7). As one of your series organizers I will make sure that there is a setup shared each week. Furthermore, even though it's an open set league you can still use the fixed setups from iRacing.

This is our first try with this car, we will see how things go this season and we have polls available near the end of the season for any changes to next season.
