Out of curiosity... why did we change to a timed race rather than a specific number of laps?

Yes, last season, # of laps were about for a 45 min race...this season, it is 50 mins race.

I only ask because it messes with iRPitCrew's fuel calculations with a timed race rather than fixed laps. I would prefer a number of laps to time, but I'm not in charge. Just curious more than anything.

This last race was good, but at Imola both Matt and I were showing -0.9-1.2 laps after pit. Matt chose to pit again to be sure to make it. Me, being the risk taker, pushed on and was fine.

I'm working on setting the safety buffer a little higher...

Its always fine. irpitcrew usually shows 1 lap less remaining fuel than you actually have. Thats comparing it to the black box calculation in Iracing. I use irpitcrew as well and I've never run out. You should be fine with ignoring it unless it says your gonna be 3 laps short. I accidentaly touched the gas while pitting last race and it stopped my fueling just short of irpitcrews calculation and I was still fine.
