**Pre-Race Interview**
1. Circuit de Catalunya-Barcelona will be the final time on PC1 for pretty much all of us. How do you like this track?

2. How do you rate your performance on this past season? What will you look to improve on for the next game?

3. What is the fondest memory you will have from this game?

I'm meh towards this track. To be completely honest, I haven't run here in the GT3 more than 5 laps. So it's going to be interesting.

Aside from last weeks absolute disaster. This season has been hand down far better than expected. I know a ton of the fast guys are out But I was just expecting a top 10 for the championship standings. Had I not got a DNF round 1 I'd be fighting for 5th in the year end points. Consistency and cut back on my mistakes. I usually have a couple bone head mistakes throughout the race that costs me a ton of time.

I'd have to say racing those damn superkarts. I'm sad they only have 1 kart in the new game and it's not the super one :(

Track is not bad, wasn't too big if a fan of it in F1, but loved it on a superkart lol Had a minor test session last night that went well, so hoping to end with another Top 5 to cap off the season.

2. How do you rate your performance on this past season? What will you look to improve on for the next game?
This season has gone beyond my wildest dreams. To win one race, let alone 3, surpassed any expectations I had coming into this season. I'm most proud of the fact that so far I've only had 2 races where I have had a spin at (and that was a thunderstorm and an awful awful track lol). I want to keep that clean consistency moving forward to PC2.

3. What is the fondest memory you will have from this game?

The first time I beat an open field of all types of cars with a superkart was pretty awesome, but really it was the Hockenheim race a few weeks ago. It was the first time I felt like I had upfront speed, and pulled away with a comfy win due to that speed. Overall, I am so thankful to have been able to play with wonderful game and very much looking forward to dunking a ton of hours into PC2... if only my Superkart comes back in a DLC...

My speed sucked. Like most of us, I spent a lot of time on ProjCars2 and did not properly practice to have a better pace. But overall though, speed was not my goal. I just wanted a car that could make the 1 stop safely and handle without risking killing the car at any points knowing I pretty much just needed to not DNF to win the championship. Congrats to Patricio on another great win, and what should have been another championship had you not had to miss any races. Congrats to KDawg on a pretty amazing season too. The only race you didn't podium was the race that shall not be named, but otherwise you were as consistent as it got this season.

My main goal going into tonight was finish ahead of riteaidkid84 to lock down 6th in the driver championship as I was only up 2 points on him. Then we entered qualifying and he had yet to show up. 6th place locked up before the race started, kinda bummed I didn't get to battle him but I'll take it. With rpg joining team bad boys racing late in the season after some issues with the team creator/leader brian, I wasn't sure how the team would fair in the team standings but going into last night in 6th in the teams but only 5 points of 4th I knew there was hope to sky rocket some spots into that top 5. And with RPG getting on the podium and me finishing just outside the top 5, thats exactly what we did. Great season everyone and congrats to hoot on the first championship. Next season is going to be a battle beyond belief.

I wanted to say goodbye to this game with a championship and I'm happy we could make this happen.

However, the most important thing is the people who make this league possible, the admins and the drivers. Thank you Hootius for hosting and AJ Jobes for his awesome broadcasting.

I hope to be back next year, because this is one of the best leagues that I've ever been.

Team Cromo Ramrod won 8 of 9 :) we are the champions!!
Congratulations Hootius for the drivers championship!! #RootForHoot

The time finally arrived, the very last PRL league race ever on the original Project Cars. For the final farewell, the GT3 crew hit the asphalt on the famed Circuit de Catalunya-Barcelona for a beautiful late evening race.

After a 3 race absence, Patricio Campos (Pitricio) returned and snagged his 2nd Pole of the season. Tyler McIntosh (MacAttack0922) took the outside of Row 1 and with that, finished off the Season with an astounding 1.4 average qualifying position. Kudos to Tyler for showing absolutely amazing pace throughout the entirety of the season. Kyle Spencer (KDawgHonda777), Mark McCormack (RPG_4Me), and Mark Kaelin (Bubba18) rounded out the Top 5 in qualifying.

On a very technical track like Circuit de Catalunya-Barcelona, the race would come to consistency and tire management, over raw speed and daring overtakes. For a league-record tying 5th time this Season, Patricio found his way to the checkered flag after running a pretty flawless race. After suffering some damage on a Lap 1 accident, Kyle drove a great race and recovered to a 2nd place finish. Kyle lead the league this Season capturing his 8th Podium in the 9 races that where ran, in an absolutely amazing breakout year for the young wheel-man. Also recovering from a self-spin to snag a podium position this week was Mark Mc. In only his 3rd race with the PRL, Mark Mc. showed great speed in capturing his first career podium. Closing in on his bumper for the final lap, but just running out of time, was Tyler. Our defending champion will be the first to tell you that this Season fell below his own expectations, but ending the Season with 4 straight Top 5's will no doubt give Tyler the momentum to carry into Season 9 and being right back into title contention. Completing the Top 5 for the final race was Charles Sumner (Hootius). As the points leader coming into the race, Charles gave up speed for the sake of handling with his goal of just worrying about a solid finish and bringing home the Driver's Championship. After qualifying in the middle of the field and being in some tight clusters the first few laps, Charles was able to find some open track and laid down laps good enough to finish off the Season with a Top 5 finish in every race and lead the league with a great 2.8 average race finish. We also had a 3-way tie this week for the Hard Charger Award, as CharlesMark Miller (Mark_LD) and Dallas Johnson (Porq_Chopz) all jumped up a couple starts from their starting positions. For Dallas, that was his league best 6th time winning the Hard Charger this Season, and he lead the league as a whole with a +28 difference between his qualifying positions, from where he ended his races. Great job by Dallas on solidifying his race craft week in, and week out.

The top 10 finishing order was:
1st – Patricio Campos (Pitricio) – 5th win in 6 races this season, All-time league record 13th win.
2nd – Kyle Spencer (KDawgHonda777) – 8th Podium of the Season. Finished 2nd or 3rd in every race that he finished.
3rd – Mark McCormack (RPG_4Me) – 1st Career Podium!!!! 2 for 3 on Top 5 finishes this Season
4th – Tyler McIntosh (MacAttack0922)  6th Top 5 of the Season.  Tied the single Season record of 5 Fast Laps this Season.
5th – Charles Sumner (Hootius) – 9th Top 5 (Finished in the Top 5 in every race this Season).
6th –   Dallas Johnson (Porq_Chopz) – 8th Top 10 of the Season, with 1 Top 5 this season
7th –  Mark Miller (Mark_LD) – 7th Top 10 of the Season, with 2 Top 5s this season
8th – Mark Kaelin (Bubba18) – 5th Top 10 of the Season, with 1 Top 5 finish this season
9th –  Vince Nadal (TSpottr723) – Finished in the Top 10 in all 8 races he made this season (7 of which were Top 5s)
10th – Drayton Simpson (_Dray_) – 6th Top 10 of the Season

In the Driver’s battle, Charles Sumner's (Hootius) took home his 1st PRL Championship after coming up short twice in the Nascar Heat PS4 LeagueKyle Spencer (KDawgHonda777) finished 2nd in the Driver's Standings, which is a career best. Patricio Campos (Pitricio)'s win in the final race gave him the edge in the battle for the 3rd place in the standings over Vince Nadal (TSpottr723). Tyler McIntosh's (MacAttack0922) strong final 4 races of the season solidified him in 5th place in the final point's standings.

In the Team battle, Cromo Ramrod’s (Patricio and Charles) took the Championship behind 8 wins and 12 podiums this season. Attack Racing (Tyler and Kyle S.) took 2nd Place with 1 win and 10 podiums this season. Vin Rin Racing (Mark M. and Vince) was the only other team with multiple podium finishes, and comfortably took home 3rd place in the team standings.

We would like to send out a big thank you to the entire field of drivers who made this final season in Project Cars Original a very memorable one. Next week will be the first of 2 Pre-Season races on Project Cars 2 before we bang fenders for points starting on 10/17.

Also for Season 9, we are very excited to announce Kyle Ely (Rocksson2Kyle) will be our full-time broadcaster. Please visit https://www.twitch.tv/klutchion for our races on Tuesday night, as well as Kyle's other great steams.
