Pre-Race Interview:
1) We have made it back from Germany to the USA.  How do you like this track?
2) Now that we have new F1 owners, where would you like a 2nd USA race to be?  Also what other track would you like to see back on the real F1 schedule.
3) Looks like Classic Cars will be back for F1 2017.  Would you ever want to run a classics league?

1) We have made it back from Germany to the USA. How do you like this track?
It's ok. There are many better and many worse circuits. For me, this should be better than Hockenheim.
2) Now that we have new F1 owners, where would you like a 2nd USA race to be? Also what other track would you like to see back on the real F1 schedule.
Why should any country have more than one Grand Prix? Maybe COTA could be substituted out for a different US track. I quite like Road America, VIR or Long Beach.
3) Looks like Classic Cars will be back for F1 2017. Would you ever want to run a classics league?
I might consider it if the game allows an equal race. From memory it didn't on 2013.

I'm not a fan of this track at all. That S curve section is a lot like a rhythm section in motocross. You mess up the start of the section and you're basically screwed for the rest of it. However, after putting in some practice over the weekend I'm feeling more comfortable with the track and feel confident in my tire strategy.

I think 1 GP per country is enough, the US is not as big in F1 as other countries are (it sucks). But I think a long beach would be a ton of fun or even Mazada Raceway Laguna Seca as that is one of my all time favorite circuits.

It would be interesting to try one out and see. The big reason I would like classics is for that sound of the V-12/V-10 engines. But with how the new cars hug the track I don't know if classics will be the way to go cuz these new ones are so fast.

1) We have made it back from Germany to the USA. How do you like this track?
I love the aesthetics of CotA, but like a lot of tracks, I am just not that good. I have a few days of practice ahead of me (esp. with no Nascar practice this week), so I am hoping maybe I can snap out of my funk I have been in and see if I can't contend for a point this week.

2) Now that we have new F1 owners, where would you like a 2nd USA race to be? Also what other track would you like to see back on the real F1 schedule.
Like others have said, 1 GP per country is enough. I personally love Watkins Glen, but that track just has way too many upgrades it still needs to do before it is even an option. Not sure how entertaining the F1 cars would at Sonoma or Leguna Seca, so I would push for a rotation with Road America as an alternate US GP spot.

3) Looks like Classic Cars will be back for F1 2017. Would you ever want to run a classics league?
Depends on the handling of the cars. I don't want to go from last place, to laster place!

I got some inspiration from this video since the new owner is from US and they have said they want another race:

Good Joke about the Honda engine as well! :D

Pre-Race Interview:
1) We have made it back from Germany to the USA.  How do you like this track?
I have started liking this circuit the more I have played it.  I really like sectors 1 and 3.  Sector 2 is alright.

2) Now that we have new F1 owners, where would you like a 2nd USA race to be?  Also what other track would you like to see back on the real F1 schedule.
I would like to see a race back at Watkin's Glen or probably Long Beach or Vegas.  Vegas would look crazy with the lights and Daniel Ricciardo agrees :D

3) Looks like Classic Cars will be back for F1 2017.  Would you ever want to run a classics league?
I tried to run a classic's league back in F1 2013 but everyone stopped showing up.  If you can run a whole class of 1 certain car then I would entertain the idea, but I think other games have better 1 off cars for that type of thing.

She doesn't have time on weekdays, so she just does a Sunday league.

Not a big fan tbh. It's a little repetitive.

I would love to see Long Beach back. Labuan Seca or Road America would be cool as well.

I would if they are equal and there is a variety of cars from each season. Wouldn't want to have 20 people in a 2004 Ferrari.

Love this track. Not a fan of turns 13, 14 and 15 but I do love it.

Daytona Road Course or Road America. Neither will ever happen.

Probably wouldn't be interested in vintage racing

Q: 4th
Put in a banker which turned out to be my best. If I'd have hooked up another lap probably looking at P3.

R: 2nd
Got a great start but immediately got damage at turn 1 when Dubzzy came back right after his own contact with mebbe, racing incident from my POV. I had to pit for a new wing and took the opportunity when the SC was deployed. Unfortunately I took the restart in 15th. In what was an utterly crazy lap, I overtook 7 cars up to 8th then worked my way up to 5th. Another SC was deployed and I pitted for tyres that would take me to the end. Unfortunately I stacked and lost further positions restarting 7th. I passed yet more cars until I was 3rd, and mebbe disconnected a second ahead of me meaning 2nd was mine. A 1-2 for Mercedes was just what we were after, but obviously we don't like taking points from mebbe in that way, bad luck dude.

Could not set a time because as I loaded the session my game froze and I had to rejoin during Quali. I should have actually called for a restart since no time had been set yet, but oh well.
R: 3rd!
Was over the moon with this result. I needed a lot of help, and was the benefactor of a couple SC and unfortunate disconnects. I drove a solid race though and was happy to snag my 2nd straight podium.
Here are my highlights, there were a lot of them!

Q: 18th
Threw down an early S lap with minimum tyre wear just in case I wanted to start in the back and have that 2nd set of S for the race. Could not get any room or rhythm near the end of quali on SS, so off the back I went.

R: 7th
Started on M and originally was going for the 1 stopper. Could not take advantage on the L1 chaos due to not wanting to risk wing damage with cars all over the place. Due to pits under the 1st SC, got up to 11th, then down to 13th somehow after others made contact, yet it allowed AI cars to pass me? (On a side note, wayyyyyy too many shenanigans while under that 1st SC, shouldn't be any random breaking like what I saw). So pretty much I thought my shot a point was done due to losing my tyre strat advantage. Going to the green, there was another bottle up causing me to go wide out of the last turn, and I lost 3 positions before Turn 1. Then in the wavy section, Slaughter (not sure if he had help or not) was sideways off the track, then came back on pretty hastily, causing Mitch and I to touch trying to avoid him. That yellowed up half of my wing and dropped me to 18th. Got up to 13th when the 2nd safety car came out, which was great so I could fix that wing with minimal loss and get on S, with the plan of going SS with around 6 to go. That was the turning point of the race for me. With others missing on the their pit strats and a few more retiring, I found myself up to 5th before I came in for the SS. Came out of the pits in 8th, got past Mebbe's AI for 7th, and used up my tires catching up to Mitch, but not much left to get around him. I know I caught several good breaks that handed me a point finish, but man I am happy for that finish since I knew this was not a strong track at all for me.
