What are times looking like?  I'm struggling to stay in the 1:49s.

This is where I do math to see how quickly I'll be lapped by everyone.

Ummm... you sure you're running the right track? My fastest lap on this track is 2:47.3.

Maybe you mean 2:49s?

Haha oops. Yeah 2:49. But often like 2:50.

Saw people were doing like 2:43, so I know there's room for improvement but just not sure where. Feels like I'm on (or close to) the limit ... But still several seconds off haha.

See you guys Thursday.

2:43? Seems really low. I just checked the world records for this circuit and only 1 racer shows up as ever having a lap in the 2:43s, and only 39 in the 2:44s.

This track will have huge pick up in laptimes with a draft too so if you are in an open room and see some crazy times then a bunch of others much slower that may be an indication. Especially up eau rouge. But I will find out tonight :)

Paul is correct, big draft on this track.

World Record for Qualifying - 2:45.376
World Record for Race - 2:43.482

Last season I was running around 2:49 qaul with 2:47 race.

I'm probably remembering it wrong.  In the forum, for the track I thought it said something like top time trial would be 2:43.  But maybe it said top time trial was 2:43

Clayton if you can join us tonight at 8pm eastern and we can work together to get you more speed. big thing is to just turn laps to get comfortable. I have a feeling this race is going to be very close thanks to the draft. It will be a very fun race!

I'm in the same boat Clayton, by the time I get the kids to bed old man Paul has already packed it in for the night, but I always check anyways.

Sorry for suddenly going silent. I spun around in my chair and caught a huge splinter in the bottom of my foot. Naturally all of our tweezers are across the street at the other house. By the time I got back to practice the close racing ya'll were gone.

Yeah I think 2:47s will be pretty competitive. Maybe in the draft we can get 2:46?

Justin probably will be down in the 2:45s for sure. Plan on catching his draft as much as possible until the second lap where I get dropped
