Q: 2nd
A great lap by Maznat. I was disappointed in myself not to equal my PB, but it wouldn't have changed my position anyway.

R: 2nd
I can be very pleased with my start if nothing else. The thing took off and I was side by side through T1 and T2 with Maz. Being on the right, I was able to take the lead. My first lap through the final chicane I was tentative on heavy fuel. If the lap ended with a flat kink instead of a chicane I'd have had a much better race. I was a tortoise through there and Maz got a good run. Unfortunately for him he ran off at T1, partly due to the positioning of my car I imagine. dreglar wasn't faster than me but wasn't falling back either, until my rears starting going around lap 8. Then there was a big old Jacko train. Eventually the rear kicked out to much for me to hold him back and he went on to victory. I had Maz all over me again, this time he tried the outside at the chicane. I held the line while leaving some space, but fell fowl of a little contact and a little sausage curb and went around, never to be seen in the battle again. Maz' demise was very unfortunate as his pace deserved much more than 4 points. From there I pitted to softs (supers wouldn't last for me on the rears). I held the gap to kartdude in 3rd while dreglar pulled away. I tried to stay close as I knew he had at least one penalty, but once it blew out to 10 seconds plus I gave up.

Q: 3rd - Great lap from Maz to get pole. I decided to go for two timed laps on my second attempt but ran into traffic on my second lap. I backed off and tried to go again but I ran out of fuel. I was .25 up on that lap but I'm not sure I would've been enough.

R: 1st - Got a good launch but with Maz and Jacko running side by side I had nowhere to go so I just tucked in behind. On the start of the next lap I saw Jacko and Maz make side to side contact into T1 which saw Maz run straight on and across the grass at T2 which let me through into 2nd. I was making little mistakes which kept me from catching up to Jacko immediately, the tyres felt really spongy and the high fuel load didn't help. Jacko's tyres started going away which allowed me to close right up but I was dragging Maz and Wayneo with me. There was some tense side by side stuff along the back straight a couple of times with Jacko really making his car very wide. Jacko's tyres were obviously giving him grief and on a couple of occasions I had to cut apexes to avoid hitting the back of him which gave me a penalty. I knew it'd only be a matter of time before I got past though and I got through at turn 6 after he slid wide at the fast turn 3/4 chicane on lap 9 (I think).
From there I was able to pull away about 3 secs with Jacko, Maz and Wayneo all slowing each other down. I pitted on lap 13 for SS but picked up another corner cut penalty on the out lap trying to push too hard. I knew therefore I had to get at least 6 secs ahead for me to keep the win. I came across Dani who had yet to stop and I was pretty keen to get past as I needed the gap. I lunged at the hairpin but slid wide at the apex and unfortunately made contact. Sorry Dani!
From there I had enough pace to pull a comfortable gap to Jacko and despite the penalties still won by 8secs. A good recovery from Monaco...
