Terrible round...just like SPA, dead in the first lap trying to avoid an incident in turn 1 with other 2 cars, where they colide w each other probably due to cold tyres. Got damage: performance and the car lights broken. Still did half of the race but it was really difficult with no lights and performance, so i decided to retire.

It's sad because we practice a lot to (again) die in the first lap due to others incidents  :|

I feel your pain Rafael. I want to be good at this so much that I get in my own way and don't have fun a lot of the time. Crashing is of course no fun, but when you make the mistakes yourself (speaking of me here) it's so much worse, at least to me it is. I get so angry when I make a dumb mistake that it's really not healthy. Everyone has only so much time they can devote to this.

Last night I didn't lose it on cold tires, not exactly. I hit the curb at T7. The same curb I hit every lap. The only time it threw it sideways was lap 1 and there's just no saving these things once they start to go on cold tires. I just couldn't believe I threw away another potentially good run in a car that was fast. I was absolutely livid with myself... To an unhealthy extent if I'm being honest.

Talked it over with my wife this morning and she was pretty clear that she wanted to me quit. She understood the frustration but didn't understand why I was so angry at a game.

Plan is to be on the grid at Silverstone (a track I expect very little out of because I'm not good there) but that might change. I have to change my attitude and take this less seriously and start having fun or I'm going to have to park it. I wish to stress this last point is completely personal to me, has absolutely nothing to do with the league. You guys are great and it's been a pleasure racing with all of you.

Agree Michael

I had this feeling last round on Glen...I was p4 following Asch and 1 lap before box I commit a stupid mistake and crashed...throw away my best race
I got disappointed all week long...I got sad when I die like yesterday but got much more frustrated when I commit the mistake, just like u.
After Glen, I realized that this is race, we need to compete but also have fun, and know that sometimes s** happens...that's why we love this sport
Looking forward to Silverstone, I think beamer should surprise there :)

Would have been nice to make into turn two on lap 1 last night. Finally had a good car but I guess some are not even trying to keep it clean. Pretty unhappy myself and my wife also wants me to quit. If those that focus on being clean quit, whats left? After having three hours of practice wasted in the first 15 seconds kind of blows my mind. Why even have an orange zone, seems like a waste of admin time as well? Still a little ticked off, I'll get over I guess.

Hi Guys!

I would like to share my experience, if there is anything that can help you.

Many years ago (2002-2012), I was a professional Gamer of Counter Strike. Represent my country in alot of world championships (CPL, WCG, etc).
If I learned something in all those years of competition, it was to coexist with frustration, since it is part of learning. If you can live with him, you can
move much faster towards the goals that are proposed. I tell you this, because frustration brings fear. And when fear dominates you, you can't move on.

In competition to avoid making mistakes, you guys should not force your knowledge, do what you know to do and assume the level you have. It is the only way to move forward, step by step.
don't try to go faster if the one in front of you is faster than you. Defend the position where you think should be placed. I at least, have not been in iRacing for more than one year, I know that
there are many who are faster than me. But in my mind it is someday to be as much or faster than them. But that requires time, dedication and above all support from people arround you. Unfortunately, they will never understand why you feel so frustrated playing a "game", what they don't know is that this is not a game for us.

I wish you a lot of success in the coming rounds!

See you on track!

I hope you have understood the message. My English is shit.

Horacio,

1) Your English is easily understood, so no worries there.

2) More importantly, thank you. What you said helps quite a bit.
