1. I guess a combo of Mark Martin and Troy Aikman.

2. I used to live 10 minutes from a dirt track so those would have been my first races. And then also when I was younger I went to qualifying at Bristol but my first real NASCAR race was Xfinity Spring Bristol 2014. https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/1912481_1474280892787602_1809409868_n.jpg?oh=0693b13dddb38f96989d36b3341c626b&oe=5A22AEB3

1.  I've always liked Mark Martin, on the professional scene, but growing up Ascot Speedway and Ventura Raceway, I liked an old cat named Sleepy Tripp.  That dude could wheel a midget.
2.  First race would have been a midget or sprint car race at one of those two tracks.  First NASCAR race would have been at the old Riverside road course.  Since then, I take my younger son to a race/year as a combo birthday/Christmas present.  Vegas two years ago, Phoenix this year.  (My older boy isn't much of a race fan... so I take him to the PAC12 football championship game every year).
3.  I use charcoal when I have the time, but when I don't I use my natural gas grill.  Prefer the smoker above all, though.
Good luck this week, everyone! See ya in Charlotte.

Dover Downs in Dover Delaware. I rooted for the 21 car of me.pearson which then went to Neil bonnet.

3. Propane or Charcoal?
My wife's Mexican. Enough said.

As you may all know I live here on the border in South Texas.  I was asked to deploy after the hurricane hits and I stated yes.   I'm on stand-by right now.  But I may or may not make Charlotte.

1. Who was your sports hero growing up?
Hmmm, I never really had a sports hero.  I guess my favorite football player was Chris Carter, and favorite Nascar Driver Rusty Wallace.  But I didn't exactly follow them spot on.  I like to think of myself as my favorite sports hero.  Since I'm Badass at everything... :D :D :D

2. What was the first race that you went to?
Dirt track race in Fairmont Minnesota.  Rooted for a neighbor, Jenkins Pig Farm.  Not kidding.

Definitely Propane, I can't really tell the difference and it's so much easier.

Pre-Race Interview:
1. Who was your sports hero growing up?
Trevor Linden

2. What was the first race that you went to?
24Hr Nurburgring race when my dad raced in it. I hung out in the pits, but was only 5 years old. All I remember is it was loud and long. After that it would be the Vancouver Indy. Went to that 3 or 4 times. Always a blast.

3. Propane or Charcoal?

Early 80s, my dad and a couple of his friends entered whatever the lowest class was at the time. They drove a Ford Escort. We lived 30 mins from the track, so they had lots of opportunities to drive there. I think they entered it 3 or 4 times, finished it once.
