Road America_Full Course.png

Race Time of day: 2020-04-04 17:55 1x
Race Length: 45 minutes
Max Incidents: Drive through at 16x, DSQ at 24x
Max Fuel: TBD
Start: Rolling
Fast Repair: 1

Pre Race Questions:
1) Road America, with it's long straights, may allow different strategies. Some may keep the downforce high and gain their time in the corners, while others will go for a more slippery setup to take advantage of the draft in the three flat-out sections. How will you attack this course?

2) The Porsche Cayman GT4 has been a big success for iRacing, and we know the BMW M4 GT4 is coming #soon. It seems GT4 will be a popular class going forward. What other GT4 cars would you like to see on the service?

I won't reveal my strategy!!! :p I will take the setup that will make me do fast lap, that's it!

AUDI R8 LMS GT4 or MERCEDES-AMG GT4 :D

I will be running zero wing on 4 run flat tires with Carole Baskin strapped to the hood for intimidator status.

Mustang!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love Road America, high speed and 2 big braking zone, i do not mess really with setup this week i am so confortable with it, i tried lower wing setup but wasn't good. I enjoy each time i race there. There will be a lot of overtake.

Nissan would be great i think there is gt4 version of the 350z and 370z

Wait a minute, I'm supposed to be applying strategy to this stuff???

My focus is still on just improving my race craft, and getting better at running clean.  I think I need another season before I'll be at the point where I'm chasing down that last 1-2 seconds to start getting closer to the top 10.

2) The Porsche Cayman GT4 has been a big success for iRacing, and we know the BMW M4 GT4 is coming #soon. It seems GT4 will be a popular class going forward. What other GT4 cars would you like to see on the service?

The BMW is what I'm waiting for!

Can we please be sure to have the race start time at the same time as it did for the official races? With it so close to sunset if we start the practice session at sunset we're going to have a night race...

1.) There's basically no drag difference for these cars... so I'll probably just run what I brung as they say.
2.) I'd like to see the Mustang (just b/c America and all) and the Ginetta. BMW will be cool too of course.

I want to apologize to Bruce Jones for the collision right at the finish line.  I was trying to hold my line and get up next to you, but once I got into your aero-wash my car just pulled left into your rear tire.  Not your fault at all, completely mine.  I'm glad our positions didn't end up changing as we crossed the line.

Again, sorry for hitting you there.

Night race? The sun went down, but I wouldn't call that night...

P11 is my best so far for me, so its the little victories for slow guys like me! Marco again sorry for the removal of your wing, my intentions were never to take you 3 wide down into that turn, abs was on and I couldn't slow her down anymore 😬. Glad you were able to drive it to the end and my full intentions were to pull off last lap and give it back, but you got it done sooner so good driving with a hurt car!!!! See everyone next week 👍

I apologize for not clearing the way for all behind me in turn 5. :D

Thanks to the vast majority of the drivers. Working my way back up every body did a good job of not killing me.

@Andres Espinosa- Apologies for my pit entry that ruined both of our races. 100% my fault, terrible decision from me. Bad race craft and I'm sorry for that.

I am confused?? On discord you went on and on about ripping pastors wing off and how you were going to mount it on your wall as a trophy...

No worries Mark !  I saw a part of my car fly, I did lose some top speed but the car still felt good. Nice battle through the race it was fun.  ;)
