Qualifying starts at 7:00pm (UK time) followed by the race

Here are some stats to reflect on the first race three races of the season...

1. Almost Perfect:
Falcon has won 2 of the first 3 races. This has been achieved twice before in the PS4 Era. KillerBlue195 won China and Bahrain in Season 13. Deki won the same two races in Season 15. No driver has ever won the first three, or the opening two for that matter, a streak which will continue into Season 17.

2. Start as You Mean to Go On:

From Season 11 to 15, only once has the winner of the opening race gone on to win the drivers' championship that same season. Neyo won at ALbert Park in Season 13 before going on to take his third PRL title with 339 points (coincidentally,  league-best championship winning points tally on PS4). Where might Season 16 Australia winner Falcon end up? All of the other Round 1 winners failed to go on to take the title...

Opening Race Winners:

Season 11: KillerBlue195 (championship position 4th)
Season 12: TUSZMUSZ (championship position 7th)
Season 13: ne-yo1993 (championship position 1st)
Season 14: ne-yo1993 (championship position 2nd)
Season 15: Jume_X (championship position 14th)
Season 16: IRT_Falcon (championship position ...)

3. Breaking the Chain:

With victory in Melbourne, Falcon broke a 10-race streak where either Deki or Carre had won the race, a run which began at Hungary S15. The last winner other than Deki, Carre, or Falcon, coincidentally, was his current teammate IRT_MichaelF1 at Silverstone.

4. Mr.Consistent:

By winning at Bahrain, Neyo keeps up an impressive run of taking at least one victory every season he's raced on PS4 in PRL, a streak which now spans 6 seasons, It was his 18th win in that time.

5. Slow and Steady Wins the Points:

Only three races in and yet there are only two drivers to have scored points in each round (PRL_Smithy - 9th, 7th, 10th - and KillerBlue195 - 6th, 6th, 7th)

6. Chaos Theory:

To get a measure of how unpredictable the start of this season has been, if points were scored incrementally (i.e 20 points for 1st, 19 for 2nd, 18 for 3rd and so on down to 1 for 20th), then the top of the championship standings would be as follows:

1. Falcon    - 45
2. Carre     - 44
3. Maxi      - 44
4. Killer     - 44
5. Neyo     - 43
6. Michael  - 42
7. Deki      - 40
8. Jume     - 39
9. Smithy  - 37
10. Mich    - 32

Really great work with the stats section killerblue! Some interesting stuff :)

1. Hard to predict as I think around half the grid won't race in monaco. I'm gonna go with
1. Michemery
2. Falcon
3. Louis
4. Jari
5. Killerblue

2. PLEASE NO RAIN!! Monaco is hard enough for me in the dry. Will be chaotic if it's wet on Saturday. Monaco isn't good for racing/wheel to wheel action & in the wet it's even worse.

3. I can't complain about anyone. Had a few battle & none of them were too hard or dirty. Enjoyed that race.
I think the first 3 rounds of S16 has been really entertaining & a bit of controvetsy inside a league can't hurt as long as it is respectful. Emotions running high during & after a race. That is part of the game that makes it exciting

Q1.
1. Mich
2. Falcon
3. Jari
4. Neyo
5. Killer

Q2. Wet, if there is any chance of me getting points i need as many people DNF'ing as possible.

Q3. Nope not personally, as neyo said, a bit of rivalry keeps the league competitive. Personally if a driver didnt intend to cause an incident it doesnt bother me, but if a driver seems to intentionally drive other drivers off then it causes for action to be taking. I have been happy with everyones driving so far :)

Q1.

1. Mich
2. Falcon
3. Jari
4. Neyo
5. Deki

Q2.

I’d probably prefer a wet race. More chance of other drivers bottling it and I would like to think I can keep it out the wall. Also, I think there’s less chance of someone divebombing me in the wet

Q3.

Not particularly. I briefly mentioned to Smithy a week or two ago about how I feel there are a lot of overtakes that are on the limit of being acceptable, divebombs, or running drivers out of track. But I feel if people get to know how people around them race it’s fine. We’re always going to have one-off incidents but generally I think we are a clean league and no one driver needs to cool it. Just less opportunistic divebombs... pleeeease 😂

I dont think people need to calm down, I think people just need to be more considerate off other people

Pre Race Questions:
This week we tackle the tricky Monaco street circuit, arguably the most skill demanding track on the calendar. Who do you think will make the top 5 come the end of the race?
any of the 5 wheel users

Would you rather a wet race or a dry race?
dry for me personally

Division 1's race last week at the Barcelona led to some angry drivers post-race due to other drivers racing. Do you think anyone needs to calm down? and if so who?
I wasnt charmed about the way maxi just crashed into me to try and get past with the start finish straight coming up in like 2 corners. so i think maxi needs to rethink his overtaking moves before he ends either his or someone else his race

Interesting bits:
6:12 - Race Start
22:20 - Near miss with Macca
24:10 - Force India and Ferrari collide just in front and I (very fortunately) escape unscathed
