**Pre-race Interview**
1. Pretty popular track this week in Laguna Seca. What is your favorite part of the track?

2. I know we all have our #1 favorite car leading into PC2, what is #2 on your list incase your first round of testing does not go well?

3. For giggles for PC2, if you had to sit out a race and no one else volunteered, would you want to jump into the new broadcasting spots?

1. My favorite part of the track is Turn 6 going onto the Rahal Staright because you can carry so much speed through that corner.

2. I think it is between the Ferrari or the
Audi.

3. For sure! I love streaming my races and I think it would be cool to broadcast one. I have a lot to learn but you can learn a lot from Jobes.

Anyone who doesn't say the corkscrew I think is lying to you. It's such a cool feeling to go down that, and it can be messed up super easy with that braking zone just before it.

I'm eyeballing that Ferrari 488 and if that fails me I'm really wanting to strap in to the Acura NSX.

I'd probably be terrible at it (I have a face for radio and a voice for silent films). However, if I ever wanted to get better the only way to do so would be to just jump in there and do it to get the practice and experience. We can't all mirror the infamous GameOfJobes our first time out.

[ul]
[li]This is a tough question. Obviously the cork skrew is the most infamous section, but honestly, I love diving down into turn 1 the most. [/li]
[/ul]
2. I know we all have our #1 favorite car leading into PC2, what is #2 on your list incase your first round of testing does not go well?
[ul]
[li]I'll do you one better; My first pick will be the Ferrari. If that isn't very good, I'll try the Lamborghini, and finally, the 911 or Ford GT. I've heard rumors the Ford GT is far and away the best car. Ultimately I will end up trying each and every one, but those will be the first three. [/li]
[/ul]
3. For giggles for PC2, if you had to sit out a race and no one else volunteered, would you want to jump into the new broadcasting spots?
[ul]
[li]I am an introvert, so this is an absolutely not. lol [/li]

While the corkscrew is one of the most unique parts to race at on any circuit, Turn 6 is the one spot I feel comfy at that I can keep pace with others.

2. I know we all have our #1 favorite car leading into PC2, what is #2 on your list incase your first round of testing does not go well?
I'm going to make that damn Porsche work! lol The Ford GT is 2nd on my list however

I really have fun on Thursdays being Jobes' color commentator for the F1 broadcast, but not sure how I would do if I was doing commentary solo. I would enjoy setting up the cameras for the broadcast though :)

The Rahal straight and the corkscrew.

Don't know... I don't even know when PC2 is going to be released lol.

Maybe yes if you allow me to comment in spanish, otherwise not because nobody would understand my spanglish lol

Congratulations Hootius for your victory! I thought you told me that this track doesn't fit you well...
Very happy with our result. It's our first 1-2 finish for Cromo Ramrod Racing Team! :D :D :D
Very fun first laps with the Oranges McLarens. The battle for 2nd with Mac was awesome, and a couple of times I had the chance to pass Kdawg for the 1st place, but his defending remarkable.

See you again next week at Brno... hopefully with no lag issues

Seriously, I'm horrible at qualifying pace. But I seemingly turn it around during the race every time. Had some awesome mini battles with a few of you guys throughout the race. I had to pit just before the halfway mark and had no tires left so i put mediums on the front and that was one of the worst things I could've done. I had no grip anymore though out the race. Guys were catching me left and right, I was able to hold my own and then on the last lap I witnessed a gordow spin in turn 10. I tried to squeeze around him but hit him and with no tires on my car myself, i ended up spinning. What could've been 6th ended up being 8th. All in all a fun fun race. Also, BIG congrats to hootius for not only being the hard charger this week but also winning. Super happy for you buddy. Looking forward to next week with you boys.

Q: 8th
I only practice on race fuel, so I was not prepared for the slide I was trying to handle in qualifying. The lap was just bad, I was practicing just as fast in race trim as I did that lap.

R: 1st!!!
Not sure if it was being at the right place at the right time, or more so others being at the wrong place at the wrong time. I was happy for the most part with my race, I got into a really nice groove and put a laps down that were .8 secs faster than I qualified, and not having a self spin until the end after I received damaged from Brian's lag. Prior to this race, I don't think I've put together 8 straight laps without spinning at Laguna. I can't thank Pitricio enough for his help and guidance this week on a track I had 0 confidence at. If he ever makes it to the States, I'm buying a round lol

I knew at the end of the race that Pitricio wouldn't put the bumper to me, but would however push me hard to see if I could keep my cool while under pressure. That situation definitely helped me mature as a driver in those final few laps, and I have nothing but respect for Pitricio. While this is not the type of win to brag about, I am letting it soak in however. The competition in this league is crazy good, and will only get tougher when Jobes, Mats, Proben and Quatro more than likely return next season. Who knows if I'll ever get another chance like I did this race. So I'll keep the smile on my face, update the signature and start prepping for Brno, a track I have never turned a lap on.

I had a strong car all night. Screwed up a lot of laps in qualifying because I had mediums on instead it softs. Once I realized I changed back to softs and put down a 1:23:0. I was running those times in practice. One the race has started Inwas in 4th for a couple of laps and then hit a rumble strip coming out of turn 3 and spun breaking my suspension. I had to pit and worked my way back up. My car actually wasn't sliding when my tires were wearing so I could stay out longer than other and then wait for them to use up all there tires in the second half of the race. I got back up to 5th on the last lap. All in all had a great come back and had a really fun time.

This week the boys traded paint and used up every part of their vehicles (and the track!) as we rolled out the GT3 beauties on a heavy driver-favorite course, Laguna Seca.

Now, we have had some crazy close battles when it comes to the Pole this season, but the trio of Kyle Spencer (KDawgHonda777), Tyler McIntosh (MacAttack0922) and Patricio Campos (Pitricio_Guitar) really put on a show for the crowd. Kyle S. snagged his first career Pole for the GT3 league, as only .080 secs separated the Top 3 qualifiers!!! Kyle Ely (Rocksson2Kyle) and Sergey Degtyarenko (Sg_Rus_Us) both put in their best qualifying efforts of the season, snagging 4th and 5th respectively.

As soon as the green lights hit, we had action immediately. Patricio was able to get a good jump on the light, and was able to take the preferred line into Turn 1 to get around Tyler and split up the Attack Racing teammates up front. The Top 3 drivers would stay in line and start to put a gap on the field, with Kyle E. holding down 4th place not too far behind. As the Top 4 would stay single file, the 4 cars battling for 5th place would do everything but that! Including going 3-wide down the front stretch on Lap 3! When the smoke and dust final settled from that crazy 4 lap battle between the 4 cars, Charles Sumner (Hootius) found himself in 5th place and pulling away from the others as tires were an issue at this track. Around this time is when issues would arise for a few of our top cars. Turn 4 first claimed Kyle E., who bounced on the curb, slid into the wall, suffer suspension damage, and had to pit early. Kyle E. would rebound from that early setback and recover for a solid 5th place finish. A handful of laps later, Turn 4 again claimed another victim in Tyler. While the scenario started out the same, unfortunately Tyler’s hit was a lot more severe and ended up losing a front wheel. By the time Tyler was able to make it to pit road, he was 2 laps down and at a severe disadvantage. Once repaired, Tyler would use his strong pace to bounce back and finish only 1 lap down in 9th place, while setting the fastest lap of the race. That left Kyle S. and Patricio to battle it out for the top spot, while Charles would claim 3rd, but over 15 secs back due to the earlier battles he was involved in. Kyle S. was the first to pit at the end of Lap 11, making everyone wonder if he would be able to make it to the end on tires pitting that early. Patricio would hit the pits 5 laps later. As all of the pit stops cycled out, Kyle S. was able to pass Patricio as he left pit road and used the position to reclaim the lead as Charles pitted on the next lap. From this point, the question to be answered was if Kyle S. could indeed make it the rest of the way on his tires, while being able to defend enough to keep Patricio behind him on fresher tires. Unfortunately 1 lap later, that answer was taken away from the audience. While Kyle S. was leading and going through lap traffic, a lapped car had a severe lag issue that developed and didn’t just bounce his car around on the screen, it was causing his car to teleport. In a heart-braking moment, one of those teleports reappeared inside of Kyle S. car, which caused his car to flip and suffer terminal damage. Patricio would also suffer massive rear-end damage by the same lagged car on the next turn, and would have to pit on the next lap for repairs. That left Charles to take a 13 sec lead once Patricio finished his pit stop. Things were looking good for Charles, as all he had to do was keep the car straight and he would have a comfortable win. That was until the lag car started teleporting again, which caused contact and a half spin for Charles on one occasion, and a decent amount of side damage on a 2nd occasion. Once everything sorted out, Charles’ lead over Patricio was gone, and it came down to the Cromo Ramrod teammates to race it to the end and see who would be victorious. Due to the earlier events, Patricio played it safe with his teammate, and would not force the nose of his car in a way that would possibly cause either driver to spin. So it was up to Charles to run a hard last few laps, and not make any mistakes for Patricio to pounce on. In the end, we saw Charles cross the line in first, with Patricio right on his bumper and flashing his headlights in enjoyment as his teammate claimed his first win in the PRL PS4 Project Car Series. 40 secs later, we were also treated to another first as Vince Nadal (TSpottr723) held of Sergey by just a couple car lengths to claim his first career podium! Charles was also the Hard-Charger Performer of the race, gaining 7 spots from his qualifying effort.

The top 10 finishing order was:
1st – Charles Sumner (Hootius) – 1st Project Cars League win
2nd – Patricio Campos (Pitricio_Guitar) – 4th Podium of the Season
3rd – Vince Nadal (TSpottr723) – 1st career Podium!
4th - Sergey Degtyarenko (Sg_Rus_Us) – Best finish of the Season
5th – Kyle Ely (Rocckson2Kyle) –  Best career finish in the League
6th – Max Lewin (RiteAidKid84) – Best career finish in the League
7th – Dallas Johnson (Porq_Chopz) – 2nd Top 10 of the Season
8th – Daniel Lozano (Gordow3497) – 1st Top 10 of the Season
9th – Tyler McIntosh (MacAttack0922) – 3rd Top 10 of the Season
10th – Drayton Simpson (Dray_SS_81) – 3rd Top 10 of the Season

In the Driver’s battle, Patricio Campos (Pitricio_Guitar) saw his lead close for the first time all season, as Charles Sumner (Hootius) moved into 2nd place with his win, but still 14 points back. Kyle Spencer’s (KDawgHonda777) unfortunate DNF saw him fall to 4th in points, 2 points behind Vince Nadal (TSpottr723) who took over 3rd place following his podium finish.
The Team battle saw Cromo Ramrod’s (Patricio and Charles) lead jump up to 58 points after Attack Racing's (Tyler and Kyle S.) terrible luck at Laguna Seca. Vin Rin Racing (Vince and Mark M.) now owns a 18 point lead for 3rd place, while the remaining 5 teams are only separated by 18 points for the battle for 4th!

Next week, the crew packs up and heads to the Czech Republic to tackle the very precise Brno Circuit.

Very special thank you to AJ Jobes (GameofJobes) for donating his time to the league and broadcasting for us. You can find Jobes’ other great broadcasts and racing at www.twitch.tv/GameofJobes
