Okay. Once again I'm reaching out and hoping that somebody's in the area, and wants to hang out for pizza and beer. This one will be for Sunday night, for the oval series. I am currently in the Chicago / Saint Charles area. Anyone want to take me up on the offer? I really want to race Charlotte because I love this track.

1.  Has your current strategy for this season been working?  And if not what changes do you think you need to make to turn it around?

My strategy for this season is to just have fun. Daytona I got caught up in a wreck, Phoenix was fun, and at Las Vegas a caution came out as I was at the entrance of pit road, forcing me a lap down, then I got a speeding penalty passing through, and I got black flagged for passing, so I was 4 laps down at a track I didn't care for, and I wasn't having fun that night so I retired early. I don't feel bad for it though, with Charlotte this week, I'm excited as it is one of my favorite tracks to race.
2.  Has there been a strategy change for your Team or is everything going as planned?  Any changes you may make at this point?
We talk strategy during the race, however I wrecked early at Daytona, my teammate was out at Phoenix, and I withdrew early at Vegas so we have yet to talk a whole lot of strategy during the race. Hopefully this week we can get a good run together and bring home a win for the team!
3.  Which driver has impressed you the most this season  based off his improvement?
Hard to say, there is SO much talent in this league, and we are only three races in, at various track types, so it's hard to say who has improved the most and impressed me the most! Try asking at the end of the season, I may have an answer then!

1.  Has your current strategy for this season been working?  And if not what changes do you think you need to make to turn it around?
I didn't have any strategy since I'm new to the oval side. My strategy was to get at a least a top 10 this season and I got it last week. Now, I'm aiming a top 5!!

2.  Has there been a strategy change for your Team or is everything going as planned?  Any changes you may make at this point?
Hard to say as my teammate missed the last two races due to work :(  I can not wait to race with him as I'm pretty sure I'll improve racing by his side!

3.  Which driver has impressed you the most this season  based off his improvement?
Since the end of last season, I would say Steven Mattocks impressed me a lot! He always show himself in the top 10 and even Top 3!! Very big improvement from him!

1.  Has your current strategy for this season been working?  And if not what changes do you think you need to make to turn it around?
It seems every season thus far has not started off the way I had planned. Hoping that Charlotte really starts things off for me, and I can make a run to better last season finish of 9th in the points.

2.  Has there been a strategy change for your Team or is everything going as planned?  Any changes you may make at this point?
Still too early, but we just need some solid finishes Craig had a nice run at Phoenix, and if I can just finish a race we can get C&E Motorsports going in the right direction

3.  Which driver has impressed you the most this season  based off his improvement?
We have some great drivers and the new guys are making a great showing also!

1. For the most part my strategy has been working pretty well. Just need to keep it up for 9 more races.
2. No big changes on my team. We haven't felt the need but are willing to adapt to stay quick.
3. I'd have to say my teammate Austin Moore, for sure two top tens, had a couple tough races but has finished well and helped keep us in team championship contention.

So far it's been going as planned    Consistent decent finishes  and stay out of the big ones    .

Less incident points from me. But ford layne Motorsports just needs to continue to get better than average finishes. 2 podium finishes has us sniffing the front runners

Steve mattocks.  He's showing a lot of speed. Honorable mention...Jerome.   He's doing well for a road guy and competing for good finishes.

Hi,

Great race guys.

I was fast and able to get the pole. Lost 1st place on the 2nd pit stop, and wasn't able to get it back cause guys up front were so close that it was hard to make a pass. I want to appologies to Jaymes for the little contact that we had out of 4 when the yellow came out. I was on your inside and when I saw the yellow I lifted and seems that my car drifted a bit outside and touched you. Then I was able to stay up front fighting hard, until the bump in tutn one got me loose and I spun. Had 45 secs of repairs, stayed on the lead lap, but was 0.3 secs slower. Was able to get a 8th.

Terrible race for me :(

Qualifying P14
I was very disappointed with my quali lap, I think I could have made top 10, but I only have to blame me!

Race P14
I think I had my best start of the season. I managed to not loose position and I even think I've gained one. We were all running tight at the beginning of the race and it was very stressful to run around Charlotte! Unfortunately, when John's monitor blacked out, I had to avoid him and ended up tapping the wall and I was now at the back of the field. Near the half of the race, I had an opportunity to not pit and lead the race to get the bonus point which I did. But at the restart, with old tires of more than 15 laps, I couldn't keep the rhythm and I ended up at the back where I was. I wished for a cautious so I can pit and not loose a lap but unfortunately, it didn't come. When I entered into the pit, I spun and hit the wall a little bit so I had 30 seconds of repair. When I came out of the pit, I was 2 laps down. But for the next 2 cautious, I got the lucky dog (sorry Eric :p :p) and I was back in the lead lap with a clean car! Again, I did a good restart and I managed to be up in P9 or P10. I had a good fight with Markell Murphy but wow, what a driver!! Markell you are by far one of the best driver I've raced again!! While I was fighting with Colton Layne and I think Jaymes O'Brien, I spun exiting the corner 2 and it bring up the last cautious of the night. Sorry for that Colton, it was all my bad :(. With only 15 laps to go, I decided to pit for tire only, I didn't fix my car. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough power and I finished the race in P14.

Well, let's move on to Iowa. I've tried the track a bit after Sunday's race and I do not expect a lot from me there!!

Cya next week!
