Near Asheville probably cherohala skyway

Nice, I'm thinking about making the 2 hour drive north to see it also. There's a few small towns in NE Kansas, NW Missouri that are having viewing parties that day.

I told my boss yesterday I would like to go if possible. I've been opening the past several Tuesday, with Mondays off. I'm hoping that continues next week. I might be too old or smoked to much weed by the time it comes around again to go.

1. Too many to list haha. I would one day like to go to Europe and Japan is another place I think I'd like to go.

2. I like to see change but man some of the decisions are iffy. Wood Brothers are getting a pay driver with Menard but I'm not sure about his performance, who knows though maybe he will perform well with them. I'm also unsure about William Byron already moving up to Cup but he has won in everything he's been in thusfar so he will probably be fine. Biggest question is what happens at Stewart-Haas and if they keep Danica or Kurt. One thing is for sure this silly season has been insane so far.

3. Not sure. He performed really well during the Indy 500 so I'd say its worth considering for him. He could more than likely compete for a championship. I think it would be really fun to see him run the whole schedule though.

1. Due to my time in the Army, I've had many chances to go all over the world. Italy is on top of my bucket list, I was on orders to be stationed there and at the last minute the Army changed them... thanks Uncle Sam.

2. The moves are very well needed, a lot of young rising stars are getting opportunities to showcase their talents. Bowman and Byron have top-tier rides to do so, and they deserve them. Kahne has struggled, and in nascar sometimes a change in scenery is needed. Blaney is too good of a talent, and marketable to pass up on for Penske so securing him was a smart move. Menard is the same as Kahne, under performing but a talented driver who will help keep the Wood Bros. operation healthy and strong into the future.

3. My guess is yes, if Mclaren doesn't promise him a top F1 car to compete with the likes of Mercedes, Ferrari, and Red Bull. He's a world class driver, and Indy Car would benefit from the move.

1. What country have you always wanted to visit, but haven't yet?

Spain. Plus I won't need to learn another language as I am fluent in Spanish.

2. What do you think of the moves that are happening next season in Nascar?

Honestly have not been paying attention. I hate working midnights as it throws me off of all news.

3. Will Alonso be in Indy Car full-time next season?

No experience with any other series other than Nascar. So no idea. LOL.

I tuned in for the broadcast tonight, solid race guys. Ton of green flag laps. Congrats to the top finishers, especially Johnny Pierce after that penalty driving back through. What a dominating display of speed Kodey showed tonight. Nice win. Hopefully I can tune in for Charlotte!

Great racing all around tonight guys. Sounded like there were battles going on all over, Auto Club produced some spectacular racing. Thanks for everyone for tuning into the broadcast as well, Dave did a great job being by himself in the booth. Look forward to Charlotte next Sunday where I expect some tough competition from everyone, but this #42 Chevrolet will be ready for battle. Shoutout to everyone at PRL, Gen X, DRE Broadcasting and The Brake Mod.

I dedicate this win to Sgt. Kevin Smith, 1st Infantry Division, my first Army team leader, and an amazing friend and life mentor gone too soon. Til Valhalla.

I think most of you know me well enough now that I probably don't need to say this.  But I am going to apologize anyways for my hot mic moment at the start of the race.  It was in no way intended for any one person or team.  Squirrels is an inside joke at sim-tech.  It simply refers to the mid pack cars and where all the trouble seems to happen.  I am often a Squirrel and have been in the past.  I was refering to mid pack cars that are fast but may not have the stability and confidence built into the car.  Those things can and do lead to mistakes being made.  We have all been there and I might be running strong now, but I understand I could return to "Squirrel" Status at anytime.  Matter of fact, I had a Squirrel moment in the race and smacked the wall coming off 4.  Doh!!!  The reason we like the term Squirrel is based on the fact it can get nuts on the track mid field.  Nature of racing.  I am embarrassed and very sorry about my smug remark, but it had no relevance to anyone or any team.
