Race Preview:
Two races down and both divisions are yet to settle down. A chaotic first two rounds in D1 has seen no driver take an early hold on the championship. Reigning champion Deki, his teammate Jume and race winners Falcon and Neyo have all only scored points once, and just five drivers picked points in both Australia and Bahrain (Michael, Carre, Killer, Smithy, Rikk). Own and Michael have emerged as early contenders with a strong podium for the Dutchman in Bahrain and two solid second-places for Michael leaving him top of the championship. Spain, the first of the European races, a race that never fails to dissapoint, 3 different winners in the last 3 PRL Spanish GPs. Neither of last season's top two (Deki and Carre) who were dominant in its second half (each of the last ten race victories went to one of them), have scored a top two finish so far this time round. Surely that has to change this weekend.
Tip for pole: Carre, Tip for the win: Carre
In D2, two challengers to the throne left by Jari have emerged- V5HRL (fourth in S15) and PRL rookie Waluigi- split by just 3 points. Between them, they've won both of this season's opening rounds with V5HRL having two poles under his belt already. With a gap of 17 points back to a congested chasing pack, S16 is already threatening to turn into a two-horse race. Spain is a track for strong all-rounders, with its long sweeping turns and technical final sector, so its hard to look past D2's emergent title contenders for victor again.
Tip for Pole: V5HRL, Tip for the win: Waluigi
Pre-Race Questions:
1. Own turned in a great performance in Bahrain to take his first PRL podium. Who are you expecting to pull off a shock on Saturday? For better or for worse
2. Two races in, how would you rate your start to this season so far?
3. What's your predicted Top 10 for Saturday?
