1) Race #3 of the season takes us to Singapore. How do you like this track?
Love it. It's a strange street track in that overtaking is possible so double the fun!
2) What is one feature you would like to see Codemasters implement in the next game for online racing to make our league experience better?
Any number of things. I guess a dedicated server would be nice.
3) The F1 2017 cars are beginning to break track records once again. How do you like the new cars and how do you feel about the designs(shark fins, T wings, etc)?
I love the T-wings because I respect the aerodynamicists who thought of them. It's very interesting how they aren't meant to produce downforce themselves, but to channel the air onto the rear wing more optimally. Unfortunately the shark fins are ugly and I feel like the become unloaded quickly when a car is sideways meaning they become unsaveable (see the weird spins so far this year of Palmer and Ricciardo for example).

1) Race #3 of the season takes us to Singapore. How do you like this track?
Not sure how to feel about this track to be honest. Didn't enjoy it last season using the controller and only managed a couple laps before my newborn told me to park it, but I do expect to find more speed this time around being more comfortable on the wheel. Like every other race, just hoping to keep the nose on and see if I can walk away with a point or 2.

2) What is one feature you would like to see Codemasters implement in the next game for online racing to make our league experience better?
Obviously server quality will be everyone's #1, so I will go with having a built in broadcast system like ProjCars2 is implementing... that way Jobes' car won't be so bloodthirsty off the line!!

3) The F1 2017 cars are beginning to break track records once again. How do you like the new cars and how do you feel about the designs(shark fins, T wings, etc)?
I enjoy the new cars and the racing has been better than I expected it to be, even though it is still just a 2-car show at the moment. Hopefully as the season progresses, we will see others up front mixing it up. I am definitely not a fan of that shark fin though. Not only does it take away save maneuvers, but it just looks dumb in my opinion.

I'm ok here. The fact that the walls are right next to the track similar to monaco is going to be my struggle. I seem to take it too close to the walls and get punctures left and right. My goal for this race will be to keep the punctures to a minimum and I should do fairly well.

2) What is one feature you would like to see Codemasters implement in the next game for online racing to make our league experience better?
Broadcaster mode. Project Cars 2 is bringing that system in so I have hope that F1 would do the same.

I really love the new cars. The t-wings looked weird at first but now I'm used to them. The only thing I don't like about the new cars is the fact that they are so wide this years monaco race I think will be one of the most boring. It already doesn't allow many overtaking zones, but when you add width to the cars that will really take away from it. Guess only time will tell.

1) Race #3 of the season takes us to Singapore.  How do you like this track?
Normally I like this track better than Monaco, but in this years game I like Monaco more.  Never been much of a fan to be totally honest.  If the game has better netcode I would probably be more of a fan, but its hard enough to race side by side on a wide track as it is.  I am expecting as least 1 safety car and a bad T1.

2) What is one feature you would like to see Codemasters implement in the next game for online racing to make our league experience better?
They need more options for the host of a session and a better broadcasting feature.  Overall we need more settings and more customization for online and hopefully this game's focus will be for online since career is much better now.

3)  The F1 2017 cars are beginning to break track records once again.  How do you like the new cars and how do you feel about the designs(shark fins, T wings, etc)?

I am very happy with how the cars are turning out.  I don't mind the fins or T wings, in fact if gives these cars a unique look.  I just wish that the engines were closer together in power.  I know that is a fair advantage given the regs but if the engines were more equal RBR and Mclaren would probably be up there as well and that would make for an even better championship!

This is one of my favorites. I generally have decent pace here, and love the tight feel to the circuit. The fact that it's at night also adds to the awesome visuals this circuit presents both in real F1 and this game.

2) What is one feature you would like to see Codemasters implement in the next game for online racing to make our league experience better?
Agree with others in that server improvement and broadcast spot are the main two I am looking for.

I like them. They are beautiful cars, and just look faster! Seems as though they can push the cars more without significantly degrading the tires, which has produced better racing in my opinion. Looking forward to watching the Ham vs Vet battle all year.

The intention was always to start on supers, but I had a crack at an ultras run and the delta was purple. I was going to box anyway but the wall decided I wasn't going any further.

R: 1st
Made a good start and overtook two cars up to 4th. I had a go at Dahy but went deep which led to a nasty incident with mebbe which broke both our wings, mine went red. I lost a lot of time in the subsequent stint but stayed P5 and when the SC was deployed I pitted, changed the wing and put softs on to go to the end. This served me well, as everyone in front had to pit and I was presented with an easy win. Good job to my team-mate as well, as Mercedes grab another 1-2! Yes Dubzzy! :)

Q: 2nd
set a decent time but mystic really hooked it up.
r:2nd
great racing at the front with mystic there gained a new type of respect for him as i didnt actually think he was capable of that but fair play to him for leaving room and everything being fair. Came out ahead of mystic in the 1st pit stops where he followed me in and we both went onto super softs, got a bit of gap at the start of the stint but caught up to gordow and the train ahead which hadn't pitted yet and when i was trying to pass gordow i think mystic was trying to pass me and he hit my rear tyre and dropped him back about 2 seconds, i then managed to get past the train of cars and was looking pretty good, unfortunately that safety car didnt help me and put the likes of my team mate back in the race who made the better decision to go on the softs which would bring him to the end and me having to pit again as i just pitted on fresh supers. I had a bit of pressure by nick after the sc as he was on the ultras and i defended well and i got a gap after his tyres wore abit. i then pitted for softs not knowing the mandatory tyre if i knew ss were i would of gone on those but considering the japan rules last week i didnt want to risk it as i was realistically battling nick at this stage for the championship and not jacko. I managed to cut the gap a bit but obviously was not going to be enough if i had put on ss could of been another story, still satisfied with how the championship is shaping up anyway both for me and mercedes, welldone to jacko on the win and the 1-2 today

I didn't have any pace at all here last night, so I just wanted to make sure in quali that I wasn't starting last on the grid to make sure Jobes' car didn't go for the kill this time lol

As for the race, I just tried to do the only thing I can do: capitalize on other's misfortunes. Even with having to replace 2 wings, I found myself in 8th with 8 to go, with no one catching me from behind. Then I made probably the most stupid mistake I have in the entirety of my PRL career and murdered myself  on the bridge right before the hairpin.

Set a fairly decent time for myself as I'm used to starting near the back but thankfully it wasn't at the very end. Knowing I'll move up spots during the race I felt comfortable where I was.

R: 11th (Disconnect due to game freeze and couldn't rejoin)
Coming up to the to the turn immediately following the bridge I was a tad too close to Brian and hit his rear busting my wing. Although I was missing part of my front wing I was able to keep the car on the track and be somewhat able to hold my own. I was planning a 1 stop strategy and was looking good to keep that but busted the rest of the wing off on lap 9 so I had to pit. Then the safety car came out and my game froze ending my race due to disconnection. I was extremely frustrated because I knew I was going to be able to hold the car together and get points at the end.

Qualy: P3
My 2nd lap was the best lap.  I think I messed up the first sector some but honestly I don't think I was going to get to the times of Mystic and Dubbbzy.

Race: P3
The start of the race was not the best.  I was safe on the outside then on the next corner I almost lost it in the traction zone.  This let Aaron get right up to my outside.  Now I know that on his screen my car shoots across to his line, but on my side I never moved the whole way over... I feel really bad for that one.

As Dubz and Mystic battled this let me get really close and it was a 3 way horse.  The two in front pitted one lap earlier and I stayed out.  This may have been costly because at this time Mebbe had caught up to me and I let him go by without any kind of real fight because he was on a different strat and I did not want to lose time.

When I came out of the pits a was a few seconds behind but it looked like Dubz and Mystic were in heavy traffic.  It looked like there was a pile up at the hairpin turn, and Mystic(alonso14) hit the back of Brian.  Another bad luck race for him.  Then because of that the safety car came out.
I was just on fresh tires so I stayed out and was now P2 behind Dubz.  I was on ultra softs though so I needed to try and get by.

On lap 16 I had a good run.  I am not sure if he broke early, I broke late or there was some lag, but I hit the back of him and this really damaged my wing.  From there I started losing time quickly as Majacko got passed.

A virtual safety car came out,  Majacko was able to stay out, but Dubz and I came in.  I put on softs as a bit of a gamble but I thought they should be able to make it.  The problem was that I needed to change my wing so I lost about 4-5 seconds on that stop.
As the race continued I was back in P3 shorted the gap to Dubzy to about 3.0 seconds but could not get any closer.

Nice racing guys and nice recovery drive from Majacko because it looks like he had to pass a lot of cars.  Right strat call on a circuit with the posibility of a safety car.  If it stayed green I was liking my chances to battle with Dubzzy but I do think he had a bit of pace in hand on me.

I hate to be the one to bring this up but I noticed Mystic received a point for 10th on the standings page. I then read the rules which say "Cars having covered less than 90% of the number of laps covered by the winner (rounded down to the nearest whole number of laps), will not be classified." Mystic lost connection around when the SC was out before the halfway point and therefore did not complete 90%. His disconnected car continued to the end.

I put in a good time for me, was about a second off Mystics time, but good for 4th on the grid.

R: 4th
I got a good start and was pressuring Nick for 3rd at end of long straight when we had a sync issue that damaged my wing and out me into wall. I lost a large number of positions and decided to pit for repair. I took on Softs wanting to limit the damage by only stopping once more.

The SC both helped and hurt. It hurt my tire strategy, as I had to pit knowing I couldn't make it from there in one more stop. I did however gain a ton of track position which helped immensely.  I was able to make a number of quick overtakes to move up through the field.

On the last stop I came in for US and was lucky to come out just in front of Mebbe. He was a bit quicker than me in this race, but with the fresh softer tires I was able to hold the gap and finish 4th. Considering my first lap I was very happy with thud finish.

Gutted for my teammate whose bad luck continued this week with a disconnect. Hoping he has a strong result next week. I will be watching the broadcast while on vacation and am looking forward to watching what is always an exciting race in the APSC!
