Ok but I don't know what you mean by unfinished, i just drove it again and drives ok and sets times, just no circuit map. But I have found a better version here if you wanna try that, I can always throw it in with the car livery update on Friday.

By unfinished I meant that there's track geometry floating (things like bridges and such), the place looks empty and barren, textures are super simple and blurry... - so if there's better versions out there, we should use a better version. I'm glad we updated the race track - suzuka had a similar issue last season - you found a better looking version, and used that one instead.

Any reason why we don't pick more of the top quality mod tracks? We have Bridge and VIR in, why not Riverside, NJ or Paul Richard?
Is it pits-related mostly?

Personally, I'm not much for supporting ripped tracks, also driving on flat/square physical mesh.

We had VIR last season, had to change it at  the last minute as a hole was found in the pits on one of the pit stations, where you drop through, never to be seen again, tumbling and tumbling. Its not easy getting together 13 tracks and try and get a good mix, but we try and sometimes fail.

Could a joint effort on spectating across series maybe the solution?

I realize there's only 1 current AC PRL series, but I wouldn't mind spectating a series I'm not participating, if it ment someone from that series would return the favor for the IACC. The more who'd sign up, the better so it doesn't have to be the same guy working every race.
It does take some setting up, would be really cool if we could have something like ACRL has:

I have another idea for spicing up the season:
A pre- and postrace interview with the teams.

It would be the most fun, if each team/driver wrote some preview quotes on each race, summed up on a single page, much like F1 does on their site: https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/headlines/2017/7/hungary-preview-quotes.html

In the same way, we could have postrace quotes setup as well, instead of only a handful using the race thread to comment.


Just like I think it's a good idea to give extra points to fastest lap and participating on the server at all, dropping comments on the upcoming race could earn each team a point or 2.  Likely some drivers don't even bother racing 10 laps or go for the fastest lap, so maybe they'd like to earn a few points on commenting.

It could be set up much like the Protest report form, with some basic questions to answer, which each driver then send in.

Example of generic questions in the pre-race quote form:

Q: Do you enjoy the upcoming track, pros/cons?
Q: What's you thoughts of rival strenghts/weaknesses here?
Q: Status of the team so far and goals for the race?



What do you think, waste of time or maybe engaging for PRL community?

In some of our championships, we have the pre-race interview. It's 3 questions that our members are please to answer before the race. If you want to do it. Post the 3 interview questions in the next race thread after your last race. You can do that weekly and we will add it to the original post
