Pre-race Interview:

1- After a rollercoaster ride at Zandvoort, we are headed to none other than the home of poutine for Circuit Gilles Villeneuve!  Are you a big fan of this track?  If not, what is 1 thing you would change about it?

2- With all the isolation/quarantining happening amidst the Covid-19 breakout, have you had an increase in time to spend on iRacing?

3- Ok, time for the big questions.  In our world today there are clearly 2 kinds of people.  Some with a garage full of THOUSANDS of rolls of toilet paper, and others who are rationing their precious butt wipes.  If you are rationing your supplies, how many sheets per dump are you allowing the household?  Have you done the math on your supply lifespan?!?
For the others with a garage full, how much for you to ship me a pack?  Asking for a friend...

1. Don't love this track nor hate it, indifferent.
2. The opposite, I have had a serious decrease in rig time :(. With three elementary kids at home, I have to attend to them which includes playing the part of "teacher" with home schooling.
3. Have just enough for the next few weeks and will have to go back to the store soon.

1. Yes, I like this track. I'm not fast (anywhere), but I do enjoy this one.
2. Not really. Tough to lock myself in the basement with the Mrs. and wee-one at home as well.
3. We've got a Costco pack that we've had since before people went full retard... We'll be fine. Worst case scenario - I have a child still in diapers and baby wipes feel very luxurious.

Negative. Its the same for everyone. Besides, this would impact the broadcast.

That said, one thing management will review for next season is extending the qualifying session length (at cost of some practice time).

Thanks for your feedback.

1) love this track when I hit it right, other than that I have personal knowledge that the clubs and casino are well worth it.

2) No, honey do list just got longer.

3) When and if we have to cross that bridge, the family has been instructed on the Afghanistan handshake!!! Like I said, $450.00 Canadian should cover a roll. You know, shipping, customs, and luxury tax.

That's cool just inquiring. On a side note.....man i just think iracing is the best platform but man o man I cant race in those dam open races. I get so depressed. 21 cars I qualify 10th  and by the time i get to T-1 i have been hit so many times I lost count. The rating goes down the drain...the car goes down the drain...... I just stopped racing in those but figured a good place to practice for Thursday's race NOT! Gotta stick to league racing. Only way unless your fast enough to stay in front. Ok I vented thanks

I may think about hosting a practice session prior to our races if some may be interested.

1 - I really like this track. It’s all chicanes and straights!

2- Ive gotten in a decent amount of practice this week. Even got to catch the Tuesday night race!

3- I have a decent amount in stores.  Nothing obscene though, so I’m still trying to ration without a change in lifestyle.  We’ve run the numbers and it looks like we’re averaging 1/3 less toilet paper usage since we’ve started the social distancing.

Yes, First time on track in a community race. I'm not fast anywhere really but builing on it for sure, I will enjoy this one.

I have done a decent amount of practice this week building up to this race!

Have just enough for the next few weeks and will have to go back to the store soon as you can't get a food shop anywhere.

1. I'm not sure I like this track, although with this car it's not too bad.

2. Been taking this time to learn the Nurburging. I always wanted to learn it but just could never spend the time to do it. Now I have no excuse.

3. Plenty

Mr. Barnett, BIG apology to you for punting you. I got caught out and couldn't get it slowed up in time. Tried to avoid you but I have the reflexes of a sloth apparently.

I'm out guys. Last week was a fiasco, but hey stuff happens. Tonight I get on track for 8:30 each time I went out to run I was run over or run into a wall. Its only practice but its still an out lap or just starting a hot lap and guys are just going thru you instead of around. Trying not to vent because the group here works hard to put this stuff on. But I'm too busy to waste all week trying to build a good car and not even be able to get a single lap in of practice or qualifying.

2 races and I've had 8 clean corners before getting taken out.  :x :x :x  Glad that practice is paying off.

Man, second race in a row that I haven't mad it past lap one. Come on guys, lay off the first couple laps. We had such a clean league last season, rarely ever an incident. Everyone gave each other space and we had some really good clean racing. I think there was only one protest all last season. And now, just a season later we have people dropping after two weeks because of the incidents. I understand how they feel, we NEED to clean this up. Whoever punted me from behind yesterday, I know you didn't do it purposely, but if you would've backed off just a bit being that it was turn 3 lap one I wouldn't have had to retire after 3 turns. Lets try to do better next week guys.

Not sure about last season I wasn't here. But for sure 1st issue is too many cars on the grid for these circuits. Near 40 cars is just too much. 2nd issue is well......we know what the 2nd issue is....

No biggie, watched the replay and saw that I was slowing for the corner a little earlier than expected by most.  Things happen, onto next week.

Does tire warming by zig zagging even work in iRacing? I didn't get caught in anything, but at least 8 people were taken out on the Quali outlap due to tire warming moves including the drivers making the moves. I haven't been racing a lot until lately, so not sure of all the NTM changes, but if the first lap in quali is rarely, if ever the fastest, I'm not sure I see the point outside of hoping to set a banker lap.
