Hi guys;
Anyone tested at Charlotte Oval?
Don´t know how to explain these in English, but it seems the baseline setup feels really short...
I mean 7.100 rpm at that´s it.
The engine starts cough in the middle of the straight.
Hope understand what I mean.

I know I'm not even running this series, but hear me out. Isn't the baseline setup more for the short tracks? I know there is an iRacing provided "Charlotte quad oval" setup that could be used as a baseline for a fixed setup series here?

I have raced this car on this track in the rookie street stock series and never hit the limiter.

Race week hype gents!!!! I know racing bi-weekly might be a little hard to track, so hopefully this will be an early reminder and we can have another great turn out on Friday.

**Pre-Race Interview**
1. How was your race at USA International? What was your favorite battle you were involved with?

2. Time for a completely opposite style race now with Charlotte. Do you enjoy the Street Stocks here and do you expect that quick repair to get used?

3. After 1 race in the books, how do you feel about a timed oval race?

1. How was your race at USA International? What was your favorite battle you were involved with?
Eye opening. I haven't done any short oval racing in years and qualed 3rd. That surprised me. Then I got swamped on the start and just kept falling back. Def need to get comfortable with oval racing again. Best battle was with the Steph and Charles I believe. It was a lot of hard fought racing that was very respectful.

2. Time for a completely opposite style race now with Charlotte. Do you enjoy the Street Stocks here and do you expect that quick repair to get used?
I am guessing it will be pack racing. With the last race I powed the crap out of the wall 3 or 4 times and def had damage but it was driveable. Unfortunately I do not see that being the case here so yeah I probably will lol.

3. After 1 race in the books, how do you feel about a timed oval race?
Personally with there not being any fuel strategy it didn't affect the race for me at all. The race distance I thought was perfect and am looking forward to this weeks.

Race went great at USA lol picked up the W and probably should have been 1-2 with my teammate eddie if he didn’t eat his tires then pit LOL just playing dudeeee. The battle with the 27 was pretty good and I was hoping i would have been able to race the 4 as well but he got into it with a lap car sadly

Hopefully the race will be clean and that quick repair will stay on the shelf. but as we all know pack racing is dangerous so anything is possible lol

I was a little skeptical about a timed oval race but it actually was pretty good since we were green for the most part hopefully this will continue!!

Goodluck boys!

1. How was your race at USA International? What was your favorite battle you were involved with?

My race went better than I expected. I'm very inexperienced when it comes to ovals, so just finishing the race was a surprise...but a welcome one. I remember people being around me, but I honestly couldn't tell you who they were. But any battle is a good one in my book!

2. Time for a completely opposite style race now with Charlotte. Do you enjoy the Street Stocks here and do you expect that quick repair to get used?

Charlotte is pretty much the only track I have any experience with. I enjoy racing SS here, I kinda wish I would have never graduated from rookies on oval so I could race here more!

3. After 1 race in the books, how do you feel about a timed oval race?

Is that what we're doing?? I just start driving when it goes green and stop when the checkered flag comes out.

This is my first.

Quick repair will get used and I do like the street stock here.

3. After 1 race in the books, how do you feel about a timed oval race?

Not sure how I feel about it but I watched a broadcast and it seemed to work fine.

1. How was your race at USA International? What was your favorite battle you were involved with?
Hard for my old brain to remember 2 weeks ago! It was not the best race as I could never find a consistent rhythm. Found out my brake pedal was going bad, got the new t3pa pros so I am hoping that will improve my consistency.

2. Time for a completely opposite style race now with Charlotte. Do you enjoy the Street Stocks here and do you expect that quick repair to get used?
I hope not. The drivers were very respectful last round, so I see no reason to think that changes this week. The track is plenty wide so I think we will have another fairly clean race. Should be a lot of fun!

3. After 1 race in the books, how do you feel about a timed oval race?
Not used to the timed format, but since we don't NEED to pit, it's a more straight forward race.

1. How was your race at USA International? What was your favorite battle you were involved with?

Pretty bad for me. I hadn't ran the SS in awhile and couldn't find the right brake bias to stay fast. Last minute change pre race caused the L1 spin for me and went down hill from there.

2. Time for a completely opposite style race now with Charlotte. Do you enjoy the Street Stocks here and do you expect that quick repair to get used?

Charlotte is much more -my- style and I am looking forward to having a good race.

3. After 1 race in the books, how do you feel about a timed oval race?

I'm not a huge fan of the timed varient, nor do I think it is the most optimal with the style of oval racing. However it wasn't terrible, just doesn't feel natural so to speak. Just strictly my opinion, I like to have a concrete amount of laps to expect and plan around vs a specific time frame.

1. How was your race at USA International? What was your favorite battle you were involved with?
Had a ton of fun. Had I not pitted, I would have had a Top 3 finish. But racing from 15th to 5th on those fresh tires was some of the most fun I have had on this Sim. I had many fun battles, but duking it out with Steph for that Top 5 spot near the end was a blast.

2. Time for a completely opposite style race now with Charlotte. Do you enjoy the Street Stocks here and do you expect that quick repair to get used?
It'll be a fun race. Multiple grooves, and then the real fun begins when tires start to wear. I don't see anyone doing anything aggressive or reckless, but in a pack like we will be, all it takes is 1 tiny error and then 10 quick repairs will be used lol

3. After 1 race in the books, how do you feel about a timed oval race?
Wasnt anything different in my mind with timed vs laps. It was a perfect length for this league in these cars. Now I know to not worry about tires with under 10 minutes to go haha

1. How was your race at USA International? What was your favorite battle you were involved with?
I personally did not run, but my teammate did, and for his first time actually fully competing in a league sanctioned race, he did excellent.

2. Time for a completely opposite style race now with Charlotte. Do you enjoy the Street Stocks here and do you expect that quick repair to get used?
The street Stocks at Charlotte are like the Cup cars at Talladega or Daytona. The only exception in my opinion is you have to plan your move a bit ahead of times because while you're wide open, tires mean something here.

3. After 1 race in the books, how do you feel about a timed oval race?
It'd be alright. We'd still get a decent race in, I believe.
