Pre-race Questions:

1. dreglar became the first driver to win back-to-back races this season in Monza. Will he make it a hat-trick here?
2. Jacko's streak of podiums came to a sudden end after first lap dramas. Will he be back on the rostrum this week?
3. Singapore is likely to be the longest Grand Prix of the season, multiplying lap time by number of laps. Do you look forward to the challenge or dread potential doom?
4. Seven races remain this season. What is your target for the final third of the campaign?

1. dreglar became the first driver to win back-to-back races this season in Monza. Will he make it a hat-trick here? I hope so!
2. Jacko's streak of podiums came to a sudden end after first lap dramas. Will he be back on the rostrum this week? I’m sure he’ll bounce back having seemingly used up all his bad luck for the season in one race!
3. Singapore is likely to be the longest Grand Prix of the season, multiplying lap time by number of laps. Do you look forward to the challenge or dread potential doom? I like the challenge of this track but I feel it’s lost something since they re-profiled turn 10. Still so easy to lose concentration and put it in the fence though...
4. Seven races remain this season. What is your target for the final third of the campaign? Having missed a few races and had bad results in others I feel like a championship victory is all but out of the equation, especially as Jacko has been so consistent, so I’m just aiming to win every race and have some fun

It would be ill-advised to bet against him, but I there are others with a decent chance at preventing such a streak.
2. Jacko's streak of podiums came to a sudden end after first lap dramas. Will he be back on the rostrum this week?
I never predict myself to be on the podium, it's just my aim. We'll see.
3. Singapore is likely to be the longest Grand Prix of the season, multiplying lap time by number of laps. Do you look forward to the challenge or dread potential doom?
Arguably my greatest victory occurred at this track (in terms of profile), and I have confidence in my ability around here as opposed to Spa and Monza. I look forward to it.
4. Seven races remain this season. What is your target for the final third of the campaign?
The target is to seal the championship with minimal stress. I'm realistic though. I'm not as good as I used to be, and my 41 point lead is quite fortunate considering my lack of pace. Still, I expect myself to hold on, I'd be disappointed if I'd lost that much ability.

Q: 3rd
Annoyed with myself. Too tentative and 6 thousandths cost me a shot at dreglar on the inside into T1.

R: 2nd
Was aggressive in my attempts to pass Maz. Managed to get him around the outside of T4 and go after dregs. Unfortunately he was quick on the ultras, particularly at the end of the stints. He pulled a sizeable gap. I noted Maz in the pits quite early, and elected not to cover as he would have undercut me with even one lap's benefit. I hoped he would undercut dreglar but he didn't quite manage it. dreglar and I both pitted on lap 11, and he went to softs. I went to supers and reeled both him and Maz in, from around 5 seconds. As soon as I latched on to the back of Maz for an effort at the end of Raffles Boulevard, he made an error, which allowed me through quite easily. But it was too late to mount offense on dreglar. I may have caught up, but his tyres then had the advantage. I held on to the 3 second barrier in the hopes he would have a penalty, but when I was informed he only had 1 warning I decided to preserve my own car and cruised safely home to 18 points.

Q: 1st - I had planned to do two banker laps but the drop off was so much from lap to lap I came in after the first lap. I went out on low fuel for a proper flyer and found almost 3 tenth but probably could've had more if not for a messy final sector. Job done for pole though.

R: 1st - Got a good enough launch to hold off maz and managed to pull out a little buffer before the DRS came into effect. Jacko got through after a few laps but my tyres were holding on pretty well especially at the end of the stint and I managed to hold off an early stopping Maz despite coming in 2 laps later than him (lap 11 as opposed to lap 9). Maz challenged initially on the faster super softs (I fitted softs) but I managed to hold him off and when his tyres started to degrade, Jacko got through again. The gap stayed around 3 seconds for a few laps before I gradually pulled away over the last 10 laps to a comfortable win. On to Malaysia now and then Japan, two of my favourite tracks especially with these new cars. Hopefully I can keep up the good results!
