1. How was your race in Monza last week?
I've missed two races in a row which was super disappointing. I work in a body shop and my painters wife had a baby so I got to paint for 2 weeks. Great experience but I had to put off a bunch of stuff for 2 weeks. Back for Canada.
2. This week we are at a another fast track in Canada, how do you like it?
Canada is easily in my top 3 favorite locations on the calendar. I love all the stuff in the air from the trees, the long straights, a driver used to go on Letterman since they were in the neighborhood, Robert Kubica nearly offed himself there, wall of champions, etc.
3. It seems like some tracks better suite wheels where other tracks better suit gamepads. How can codemasters do better in balancing their games for Wheel vs Pad and Assist vs Non Assists. Is this even possible?
I'm not sure what they can do from a development stand point. As these games get more advanced developing for both wheel and pads is probably becoming more difficult, balance wise. I'm not even sure those two should be racing against each other. Like in a first person shooter a pad would be murdered by mouse and keyboard every time. Maybe not the best comparison but wheel and pad are different animals none the less. I am not a fan of assists but for F1 I have found them to be necessary. I'm guessing it's the torque/wheel spin that's killing me. I only used assists when I first started sim racing and was super happy when I quit using them. At a certain point I could feel them holding me back. This is my first venture into F1 (online) and I'm hot stank garbage without assists and just plain garbage with them.
