Pre-Race Interview:

1- This is it, the final round of the season and its a Watkins Glen!  Usually a fan favorite track, what is your favorite layout here?

2- Are you planning on joining us for next season?  Signups are starting to fill up!

3- Lets go hypothetical here.  iRacing introduces multiple tire compounds (come on iRacing do the right thing!)  Do you see yourself as the type who will drive hard on softer tires and take tires at the pit, or cruise around on harder tires and make them last?

1. I actually like the normal boot layout with the busstop the best.

2. Unfortunately i will not run full time next season. I will wait for the season to start and to see if there is drop off then try to sign up to be on the reserve list. With the kids and everything else i just cant fully commit at this time.

3. Cruise on hard tires as the risk is way less of doing something stupid, you will have a quicker stop from tires but also from taking less fuel.

1. Is there a layout that doesn't include turn 9? Otherwise I like this week's classic boot so we can really send it into the turn 5 barriers.

2. Yep, I'm signed up for season 2. I've been on iRacing a little over a year, this league is by far the most fun I've had.

3. Soft tires and change during the pit stop would be my preference but it'll depend on track and setup.

1. Anything with the boot.

2. Yup, signed up and paid.

3. It would depend on what the delta between the compounds is and what the drop off in performance would be. If the difference is .2 seconds between the compounds and not much drop then after 10 laps your even with a pit stop. It only adds about 2 seconds to change tires on these cars.

1. The classic boot is my favorite
2. I won't be participating in the next F3 season but monday GT4 season
3. I would rather take a hard compound and keep it until end.

I will also miss sadly the last race. I just move yesterday

1- Probably the classic boot or classic layout, it depends on which car Im using.
2- Moving on to a couple of other classes next season so I cant really commit given the high level prep and competition in this league but will be watching!
3- Softs! Push hard, change them and just send it...:)

Thanks everyone. Just wanted to mention again how much I have appreciated the driving this year. I think we have a great group of drivers here on Thursday nights.

With that being said I am going to try my luck on the Monday series and will step away next season. I want to try and improve my GT car driving and a new shiny Porsche is also a motivator. Hopefully I will see some of you guys there as well!

Congrats David and look forward to watching the series. You Greg will have some new competition so it should be fun to watch!
