Hi,

Just want to give a heads up to everyone for this event:

PLP rules will likely be changed once again! (if all testing runs as expected)

This means, that later this week, a PRL Spa package will be mandatory to download, containing both PLP and Spa track updates.
For this round we'll introduce white line track limits controlled by the PLP app. As before, there´s no longer a drive-thru penalty, it simply gives a 20sec penalty that is added by organisers post-race.

So remember to check back here later this week  :)

Hi, so can I ride the curbs ? Or is it the white line on the outside of track or inside white line ? Really confused.

Cheers

Hi guys,

Just reminding, that the PLP package for Hockenheim is obsolete, you must download the Spa-pack for tomorrows race.

Cheers!

What does this mean?

Entry value, is the percentage of the speed you exited the track limits, which you must slow down to to avoid getting the cut. At 90%, it's even more unforgiving if you f.i. exit by small mistake and reenter just after, even if you lifted throttle. 95% is still a value where you loose time regardless, but it gives you a fraction of a second more to react to going off track and lift/brake before getting a cut.

No problems with PLP so far. I checked the replay on some invalidated corners I thought were wrong but they were all correct.

So what the heck happened ? Project cars 2 kept 5 or 6 away ?.

Actually only 3 since last round. This was likely to happen anyway, so good to see those sticking through.

For those completing the round at Spa:
Although the PLP rules seemed harsh, they were equal for all, but will be balanced towards less harsh for Monza. We saw that it is possible to complete a race without getting a penalty, with overtakes or not and on probably a track with the most likely cut to happen, Eau Rouge. So number of max cuts will stay, but the entry speed percentage will be increased further, maybe 97-98%. That way, slight cuts during battles should be no problem, but you still have to pay attention to the PLP indicator. Avoided cuts on your own should leave no advantage in laptime.

Michael, what happened in the race, did you not have PLP visible in your HUD? 11 penalties was registered...
You still got some good points though  :D

I probably didn’t enable PLP on my HUD, I was sure to download the correct version and enable it in the main menu.

As for the race. I started 5th and got a great start to get to 4th in the first corner. Aiden was sideways at the top of Eau Rouge so I had to cut the corner to avoid him, and I made it into 3rd. A few laps later, however, I lost control at Les Combes and hit the wall, dropping to 4th again. I stayed in 4th for the rest of the race as o wasn’t quick enough to catch the guys ahead and there was plenty of time between me and 5th.
