Racing Rigs, Gear, and Software Discussion

I just wanted to give my first impressions on the VIVE Pro.
Made the switch from the Rift which has been giving me all kinds of problems in the last year.
While it's a bit more expense, for me the Pro is well worth is.
FOV is much wider . Screen door effect is less.  Headset adjustments are top notch.
I've heard people complaining about the sound, but I don't see it as a problem.
And navagating through Steam is a breeze.
Still getting us to it, but I'm happy I made the purchase.

My rig has come a long way in the year since I've started piecing it together. I finally moved it all out of the basement and into my spare bedroom. I put the monitor on an articulating mount so I can use it at my table/desk or swing it over for easier visibility when I'm in the sim seat. I recently added an Apex Button Box with a RAM mount, and I have an Aiologs handbrake on the way. I also recently upgraded from the Rift to the Rift S and I love it. It runs much smoother on my PC and I've been able to turn up a lot of settings I had on low or off before.
I have a couple transducers for it, but right now my chassis is too stiff to give much feeling through the seat. It was built by Sam Maxwell and he wasn't messing around. The frame is welded box stainless steel and the panels are 3/4" plywood bolted and bonded to the frame. So my plan is to mount the seat to a separate panel up on isolators, then mount the transducers to that. That should allow most of the vibration to go into the seat without the energy dissipating through the rest of the rig. I hope.

I need something like that. Instead my desk is a clusterf**k. I keep my Oculus and headphones behind my monitor.
