DASH FOR SWAG 100

FREE T-SHIRT!

I am going to sponsor this race. It is now the Dash for Swag 100, and will now include a FREE T-SHIRT to the highest finisher of the night.

Must sign up in this thread for a chance to win. Please read some rules.

RULES.

1. This is a Large T-Shirt, bought at Chicagoland Speedway whatever weekend they were just there. Tried on once, too small. The shirt has some cool race cars on it, it's blue, and was a 25th anniversary shirt from last season. It was cheap. Anyways...

2. Please don't sign up for this contest if the shirt won't fit you. Again it's a large, and probably on the smaller end of a large. If you would like to win the shirt for someone close to you that you think could wear the shirt, I am fine with that. I would like the thing to be worn, please be cool.

3. You obviously still run the race if you don't sign up for this.

4. I work for UPS, it's super easy for me to ship you this thing, DON'T POST YOUR HOUSE INFO IN HERE!, but I will need your info once you're declared the winner, which can be taken care of privately one way or another. Don't sign up if you do not want me to know your address.

5. To win you must be signed up in here prior to the beginning of the race, be present for the race, and among all the contestants that have signed up, be the highest placing driver that night. (ALL FINISHING ORDERS ARE SUBJECT TO RULES AND REGULATIONS PUT IN PLACE BY PRL.)

6. This is at a cost to me, and I will NOT be sending things out of the country(US), or into Alaska or Hawaii.

Feel free to sign up in here anytime from now until the start of the race! I'll post a picture of the shirt soon (it's a nice shirt).

***Pre-Race Interview***
1. Chicago this week and it looks like the track record is going to get smashed by a good chunk of the field. How do you like this track on this game?

2. 5 winners out of 6 races this season. Who do you think the next first time winner will be for this season?

3. Favorite side-dish you had last week?

1. Chicago is a quick track, which tend to be my forte in this game. Hoping to get a decent finish.

2.Honestly, I think it will be Brian or myself. We have been pretty competitive all season and have knocked on that door a few occasions not only this season, but last season as well.

3. Dad's sweet potato casserole

1. Chicago this week and it looks like the track record is going to get smashed by a good chunk of the field. How do you like this track on this game?
I really do enjoy this track even though it's a "floor it all the way around" kind of track. To be fast, you have to hit your entries just right in T1, which I feel really confident in my consistency in doing. Last year I lost the race to CJ by a car length, so I'd like to improve that by one spot. I know it's going to be super tough cuz War has some really good speed. I'll hopefully get a chance to try to outsmart the field again and take home a second straight W.

2. 5 winners out of 6 races this season. Who do you think the next first time winner will be for this season?
I would love to say no because I'm going to win all the races, but that's just not my style lol. I don't really streak off wins like we've seen CJ, Mitch, and Jobes do in the past. War is definitely due for a win this season. I would like to see another overall first-timer get a win, probably Meatty, Brian or Nick would be the next in line for that.

3. Favorite side-dish you had last week?
Not sure what to call it, but I had this cornbread casserole type dish that was pretty damn amazing. I've got too look that up.

First time racing here but I like the track so far. Safer barrier sticks out quite a bit on entry to turn one.

2. 5 winners out of 6 races this season. Who do you think the next first time winner will be for this season?
I would love to say me but I think I'd need some red turtle shells for that. I'll go with what others are saying and say Meatty or Brian.

3. Favorite side-dish you had last week?
Stuffing with maple sausage, by far.

This has always been a favorite and with the added speed to the track, it's even better. I'll be looking to run top 3 here most of Wednesday night

I like the track but I haven't got to practice yet so by the time I figure it out the Race may be over.

If it's first time winner then Nick, War will get in a W for this season as well, I think Chicago will go to a previous winner.

3. Favorite side-dish you had last week?

Green Bean casserole

It's a fun track the draft isn't as big of factor as the last round. Were either gonna have long green flag runs or caution after caution lol. I except to be upfront in contention most of the race, will see what happens at the end. No pit stop glitch please haha

2. 5 winners out of 6 races this season. Who do you think the next first time winner will be for this season?

The easy choices are war and Kdawg to get wins this yr both are title contenders and can win any week. But a first time winner I got Nick. Meaty if it's fuel managment.

3. Favorite side-dish you had last week?

Pumpkin Pie with chocolate sauce and whip cream

This was my best qualifying result I have ever gotten in the league so I was pretty proud about that, little did I know it would be the only highlight.

R:16th
Had an incident early on with KDawg, which was really just me being in his blind spot and not seeing me. Then throughout the night as I would try to race my way back up I was doored several times and sent to the wall, Most of this was probably because of netcode as we had plenty of that tonight. At one point I got into the wall when I was running second and put it into the grass and saved it. Said I was coming back on and I stayed low but people were not giving much and taking a bunch so I think that sparked an accident cause people were flying right up on me expecting me to move down when I had no space to do so. Overall the restarts were wild and not enough space was being given which resulted in many back to back yellows. To say that I'm upset with my finishing order is an understatement as I felt I had a car to compete and feel I didn't have control over my finishing spot as multiple things played against me from being pushed into the wall or being forced to forgo pitting to keep from t-boning someone who ducked on to pits last second, which resulted in me running out of fuel and two laps down. I guess it's on to Texas and hopefully continue my past success on 1.5 mile tracks

Never really got to catch a draft in quali, so pretty happy with the Top 5 start.

R: 1st!!
Huge race to get me within a couple points of the Championship. My quali set up was garbage on a full fuel run, but running slower and in the draft of others actually helped me as I could pit for just a .5 can of fuel and sneak by War for the Stage win when he ran out. I made a bonehead move and forgot to change my fuel and tires back after the Stage, so I had to pit twice and end up restarting in the back. Got caught up in a couple accidents, but then made it through one and started getting my track position back. I found myself battling CJ and Sean for the lead on that final long green flag run. My pit crew finally came through on a 4 tires stop in crunch time and got me out ahead of CJ, and we had a gap over everyone else. When that final caution came out, I knew my only chance was a great restart over Sean since CJ pitted. I got the restart I needed and Sean battled Zeke for 2nd, and that was the gap I needed to bring her home and revenge my loss to CJ at Chicago last season lol

Q:3rd

I was too busy trying to get Sean and Kdawg off my bumper because qualifying on the pole was important to me last night for the slim chance I still had at a championship. I didn't hit my best lap till the last one where I knew I needed it.

R:13th

Terrible night. I truly considered retiring from the league last night. It wasn't a fun night and the stress levels were pumping. I'm glad I didn't make a decision on the spot as I will finish out the season and think more about it for next season. Here's a glimpse of how frustrating my night was

This week, the Nascar crew hit super fast Chicagoland Speedway for the 3rd time in the League's history. Season 2 winner Christopher Herring (CJHerring) jumped in the race as a reserve this week to try and defend his race win. Before we get into the race, I want to give a huge Thank You and shout out to League racer Adam Zemke (Zeke_H30) for sponsoring this evening's race. Adam is an Illinois native who not only sponsored the race, but for the first time in this League's history, put up a winner's prize for his home track. Adam is sending tonight's winner a race-day shirt from Chicagoland. That is a very awesome gesture from one of the most respected, and fun to race around drivers in the League.

Qualifying was very tight quarters as the draft would have a say in who would start up front. For the 2nd week in a row, Sean Ryan (Sean420Cali) put down the hot lap and took the inside of Row 1, with Kyle Spencer (KDawgHonda777) taking the outside. Michael Caterino (vWardude)Charles Sumner (Hootius), and Christopher Johnson (MeattyLoaf) rounded out the Top 5. For Christopher J., this was a personal best qualifying effort in his PRL Career.

The 20 Lap first Stage was another exciting one. It went caution free and required everyone to stop for fuel. The time spent in the pits fueling up would have the biggest say on the outcome. Charles and Michael only stopped for 1/2 can of fuel, with the rest of the field taking a whole can. However, Michael was running faster laps then Charles and ate up too much fuel and ran out of gas exiting Turn 4 coming to the Stage end. Charles was able to sneak by with only a couple hundred feet to spare and take away the Stage win from MichaelMichael coasted to a 2nd place Stage finish, with Rob Besaw (Xsyse), Sean and Adam Zemke (Zeke_H30) taking home bonus points. After the stage, Charles and Michael both had issues in the pits and would have to start in the back of the pack. This point is where the old saying "Cautions breed cautions" came in to play for the League. It was a battle of wits and survival to dodge wrecks and who could have the best evolving pit strategy as the laps ticked down. We had a long 15 lap green flag run towards the end of the race that gave us a round of green flag pit stops, and then the last caution came out with 5 laps to go, erasing a 3+ sec lead that Charles and Christopher H. had over the rest of the field. Hindsight is always 20/20, but Christopher H. gave up 2nd place to get fresh tires and that would eventually cost him a Top 10 finish. On the final restart, Charles would catch Sean off guard in the restart zone and that would be the gap that he needed to being home his 2nd straight victory in the League, and win the free swag that Adam graciously put on the line. Sean and Adam would trade 2nd place back and forth in the final 2 laps until Sean made the overtake for the final time to snag the runner-up position. Nick Michaud (NickMichaud) and Kyle rounded out the Top 5. Zack Jackson (Action12Jackson) was the Hard Charger of the race for the 2nd time this Season, jumping up 7 spots on his way to a Top 10 finish. Along with his race win, Charles also set the Fastest Lap of the race, shattering the previous track record by over .5 seconds!

**Top 10 Finishing order for Chicagoland**
1. Charles Sumner (Hootius) – 2nd win of the Season; 6th of his Career (1 back of the All-Time record)
2. Sean Ryan (Sean420Cali) – 6th Top 5 of the Season
3. Adam Zemke (Zeke_H30) – 3rd Top 5 of the Season; 10th of his Career
4. Nick Michaud (NickMichaud) – 3rd Top 5 of the Season
5. Kyle Spencer (KDawgHonda777) – 5th Top 5 of the Season
6. Rob Besaw (Xsyse) – 6th Top 10 of the Season
7. Brian Mosser (BrianMosser88) – 6th Top 10 of the Season
8. Zack Jackson (Action12Jackson) – 4th Top 10 of the Season
9. Owen Bridges (Habob69) - 4th Top 10 of the Season
10. Shawn Klein (K1Grizzly) – 1st Career Top 10

In the Driver's Championship, Sean Ryan (Sean420Cali) is still in 1st Place, but his lead is now down to just 3 points after Charles Sumner's (Hootius) back to back wins. Kyle Spencer (KDawgHonda777) and Michael Caterino (vWardude) are still within a full race worth of points of Sean, but time is not on their side with only 3 races left in the Season. Rob Besaw (Xsyse) rounds out the Top 5 in points.

Not much changed in the battle for our Team championship, as each time had a driver finish well and another finish poorly. Car Ramrod (Charles and Christopher J.) ever so slightly increased their lead over One-Two Racing (Michael and Nick) to 4 points, but The Bumper Killers (Sean and Noah) stayed even with Car Ramrod and stay only 8 back of the lead with 3 races to go.

Charles has clinched a spot in the Championship 4 with his win at Chicago. Sean, Adam, and Rob are currently in the green, with Kyle, Brian, Zack and Michael on the outside looking in with 2 races to go. However, all 7 Playoff drivers are only separated by 10 points, so everyone is still in it and will come extra motivated for the next race.

Next week we go to another 1.5 mile over, but it'll be of the quad variety as the crew hits the newly re-constructed Texas Motor Speedway. Please join us, and one of our handful of driver who stream their POVs of the race, on Wednesday nights at 9pm Eastern.
