Race Name in Game: Pennsylvania 400

***Pre-Race Interview***
1. Time for our first non-traditional race track of the season in Pocono. How do you like this track on NHE and what are you looking for on Friday night?

2. Due to the first 100 laps of Charlotte  being a mess, I am asking this one to get everyone thinking about this in advance to see if we can't help lower the yellows this week. What part of the track do you see as the problem area at Pocono that may bring out the most yellows?

3. The overtime line came into play at Dover (Harvick is the reason we can't have nice things!!!). Do you like the OT line or do you feel that it hinders the drama of the GWC finish?

I don't really like it, it's a bit... tricky... Hoping to finish the race.

Probably turn 1, but I'm not entirely sure.

No idea what that is! :(

I've always enjoyed Pocono mainly due to my driving style and being able to just outlast people here. As for my expectations, I'll treat it like every other race, aim for Top 5 speed, race smart and capitalize on other's mistakes to clinch a Top 5.

2. Due to the first 100 laps of Charlotte  being a mess, I am asking this one to get everyone thinking about this in advance to see if we can't help lower the yellows this week. What part of the track do you see as the problem area at Pocono that may bring out the most yellows?
I really hope peeps take time to think about this one, so that way it is being thought about in the race so it doesn't take 90 mins to reach the half way point. I can see a lot of contact happening in the middle of and exiting Turn 1, but the track is so wide in the turn and with all of the grass down below, I can just see that being plenty of 1 car spin deals. I feel like the exit of Turn 2 will be the majority of yellows due to how easy it is to over drive the entry, and then over drive the exit and making contact with the wall. Definitely not as much escape room on the exit of 2 as of the most of the track.

3. The overtime line came into play at Dover (Harvick is the reason we can't have nice things!!!). Do you like the OT line or do you feel that it hinders the drama of the GWC finish?
The GWC is already a gimmick as it is, I don't see any need for the OT line... just make them complete a full lap for the sake of racing. Just because Harvick pulled that stupid crap at 'Dega shouldn't hinder the finish of the race anywhere else.

It's something different and Im starting to like it, set-up feels very comfortable which should make it good for racing not sure about Q.  I'm looking for more consistency from myself.

It will be quickly apparent who hasn't practiced here.  I think turn one will be hard with the bump low and the safer barrier high squeezing people into a narrow race line.

I dont really care for it.

I don't. This won't be one of those weeks where I will ease through practice. I'm gunna have to work my butt off for my speed similar to how I had to approach Phoenix last season. I'll improve to where I need to be before Friday and look for another top 3.

The part of the track where the lesser skilled drivers stay out for track position and destroy half the field..

Unfortunately I didn't get to catch the race but I'll always root for a race to the line.

1. If I had the option of shooting myself in the foot with an arrow or race this track on this game, I would take the arrow to the foot. Unfortunatly I am all out of arrows so I have to race this track. I hate this track in game, but love it in real life.

2. Definitely going to be turn 1. It's just such a hard turn to get. You set your car up perfectly for turns 2 and 3 and you likely won't have it right at all in turn 1.

3. I like the overtime line keeps it consistent, although I say change the OT line to the start finish line for all but the Plate tracks.

Q:15
I had a slow car and really struggled with getting my corner entry right. This cost me almost a second every lap and I really struggled to find speed all week.

R:7
I am really glad with this result. I was expecting to ride around in the back and finish a few laps down. However, due to the lack of long green flag runs it was pretty easy to stay on the lead lap. I was playing a strategy game towards the end with fuel mileage and it would've probably paid off if the race stayed green the last 20 laps. However I did get lucky with some late restarts and wrecks and gained several positions to 5 before dropping back to 7th to finish the race.

Q:2nd

Qualifying was good, I pushed out a nice lap early and was able to play around trying to push for a faster lap for the pole, I pushed too hard.

R:6th

I could NOT avoid incidents. Every time someone would wash up from the arpron or drop down after hitting the wall, I would be right behind them to catch them. I got caught again on the last caution of the race putting me in P 11/12 so I decided to pit and take 4 with no fuel. I worked myself back up to 6th in 3 laps. I'm glad I made the most of what I could and didn't get caught up again at the end, but I was most definitely a top 3 car with a shot at the win.

Q:7 All I could muster
R: 12 Car wasn't bad, your either the hammer or the nail here, just happened at the end I was the nail, getting put into the wall on back to back laps, but its hard to be mad, this game sucks so bad another driver might not have even registered a contact at all.  (IE: Aaron and KDawg)

Q: 4th
R: Don't even remember

Had a good race car. Didn't have the single lap pace like a few out there, but the car was good and consistent over a long run, not as wild off the corners like others in the Top 5, and could pass on the bottom without making contact. Server stole a definite Top 5 from me without having a single lag spike the entire time.

Not even gonna sugar coat it, another joke of a race. Seriously guys, this caution every 2 laps is going to be the downfall of this league if we can't run 5 miles without someone dive bombing turns, washing up into others, or forcing unnecessary 3 wides in stupid spots of the track.

Cut down on the league. Make it "Invitational". 12 drivers is plenty.
