Before I get into the Pre-Race Interview, I want to use this post to discuss a few things after we had our PreSeason races:
[ul]
[li]As we all saw, cautions breed cautions. As a collective unit, we need to show more patience on the first lap. Remember that our races are 25%, and would carry on for around 40 mins if we limit the cautions. That is plenty of time to work your way up.Don't be in a rush to make a pass just because. Take a moment, look at where you are stronger than the car in front of you and set up your pass. Impatience has been the lead cause of our PreSeason cautions. [/li]
[li]In the regular season, all cautions will be review and faults will be determined. Too many at faults will lead to points penalties and possible 1 race suspensions. You can read up on it HERE. Please keep that in mind when trying to force a 3-wide or diving underneath someone.[/li]
[li]Don't come to a race unprepared. Put in some practice laps during the week. Don't let other's speed deter you. Set up the car to your preference and don't just take a random setup right before the race. Control is much more important than overall speed. Consistency will get you results, trust me on that one.[/li]
[li]If you find yourself frustrated with someone, turn your mic off. While we like to have a good time, Kdawg and I need to be able to control the race and need everyone's attention to call cautions and what not. If you get too talkative and either KDawg or I ask you to calm it down or ask you to shut off your mic, please do so and do not make the matter worse. Also as for frustrations, while we all get upset when we get wrecked. No one here would wreck someone intentionally, and mistakes do happen. Do not directly attack someone or else you will be parked and suspended.[/li]
[li]If you are deemed to be the cause of a caution, you must fall back to the end of the field on the restart, after all of the pit stops have been made. If KDawg or I call it out and you do not listen, there will be additional penalties that will be assessed after the race.[/li]
[/ul]

1. Traditional kick off to the season with Daytona. How do you enjoy restrictor plate racing?

I really love restrictor plate racing for its uniqueness. Going into Daytona I feel very confident and I feel it is a race that I can for sure win. Last season I had probably the fastest car in the field, but due to the nature of restrictor plate racing I got into accidents in Qualifying, the Heat race, and LCQ. When it comes to PRL Nascar and restrictor plates I have always felt that I could've won all 3 restrictor plate races we've had, thus far in PRL Nascar. Therefore, This time around I will be looking to capture my first PRL win.

2. 2nd round of the Nascar playoffs start this week at Charlotte. Who do you have on Sunday?

Jimmie Johnson, He is looking for that breakthrough win, which based on his past I feel could happen this weekend.

3. Since we are now in October, what is your favorite horror movie?

Halloween (Original). It has always been my favorite since I was scared shitless by it when I was 6 years old. I have tried to watch this movie on my birthday every year since as my birthday is the day before Halloween and it just fits the season.

1. Traditional kick off to the season with Daytona. How do you enjoy restrictor plate racing?

I prefer the more technical tracks and road courses more. But I still like it's a lot of fun as long as you avoid the big one near the end. If i'm in the top 3 near the end I will see what I can do for the win. Track position means a lot more then tires here The 2nd lane doesn't move as well as in real life.

2. 2nd round of the Nascar playoffs start this week at Charlotte. Who do you have on Sunday?

I mean how can you bet against Truex or Rowdy right now. But I am going with Larson for Sundays race. Anyone can pick the 78 or 18 lol

3. Since we are now in October, what is your favorite horror movie?

I'm not a huge horror movie guy but I like the old Freddy Kruger or Halloween movies

1. Traditional kick off to the season with Daytona. How do you enjoy restrictor plate racing?

I love plate racing but in this game I see it being a potential disaster due to the lack of control of the car. Side to side movement, super sensitive brakes, etc. We'll see, I'm hoping for the best.

2. 2nd round of the Nascar playoffs start this week at Charlotte. Who do you have on Sunday?

Larson / Truex Jr

3. Since we are now in October, what is your favorite horror movie?

I really can't stand horror movies. Or horror movie commercials for that matter. Horror movie commercials are like a two minute horror movie. I don't need that garbage while I'm trying to relax, scaring the crap out me, lol. Not sure if it falls into that category but I do love 30 Days Of Night. And The Shining but I think that's more in the thriller category.

I don't think restrictor plates have changed drastically but I do think they have improved from the last game. I'll enjoy the race a lot more with my wheel

2. 2nd round of the Nascar playoffs start this week at Charlotte. Who do you have on Sunday?

I have Johnson pulling out a victory.

3. Since we are now in October, what is your favorite horror movie?

Was never big into horrors, Halloween is a classic though

1. Traditional kick off to the season with Daytona. How do you enjoy restrictor plate racing?

I was in 3rd at Daytona last year and ran out of gas, and finished 3rd at Talladega, I love the racing and live to go high with everyone having to check up going into the corner, however the 3 or 4 spots I can get dont hold up because Nobody else wants to move off the bottom, hoping to get a couple guys whoncan and will run the outside.

2. 2nd round of the Nascar playoffs start this week at Charlotte. Who do you have on Sunday?

I really think Ernie Irvin or Cole Trickle...are going to pull this one out....

3. Since we are now in October, what is your favorite horror movie?

I watched a movie when I was young with a serial killer who got the electric chair and came back through electricity to kill people, cant remember the name, but the day I came home and thought he was in my house and stayed outside till my parents came home...

Not a fan to be honest. There is so much that is outside of a driver's control, it really does come down to luck. Even my win at Daytona last season was due to luck due to the fact that my pitstop got me out in front of War, otherwise it would have been his win (though our top tier pit strat made it possible in the first place lol). But if you look at 'Dega, I got wiped out at the end of the race because someone on the low side got impatient and a car got sent into me and I got the worst of the whole exchange. Goes to show, it's just a flip of the coin how I see it.

2. 2nd round of the Nascar playoffs start this week at Charlotte. Who do you have on Sunday?
My answer is always Krut. Would like to see him end on a very strong note and try to save his seat for next season, and CHarlotte has been good to him over the past 3 years. For my lunch bet however, I need Shrub, Kenseth and E.Jones to come clutch and get me a free taco salad lol

3. Since we are now in October, what is your favorite horror movie?
When it comes to horror, I want suspense and emotion over gore. So to me, the original Alien will always not only be the best horror movies, but one of the best movies ever overall.

I enjoy racing at Daytona and 'Dega, I normally do pretty well in random online lobbies, but now it'll be a little tougher and should be a lot of fun.

Austin Dillon, because of his win he got earlier in the season at Charlotte, even if it was just because of a gas gamble.

I really enjoy the original IT movies, they may not be that scary but I enjoyed them, and I enjoyed the remake they made this year.

1. Restrictor Plate Racing isn't my favorite racing. I come from the half mile oval sides of things so I feel more confident on the short tracks. I missed last's season Daytona race, but I had a very successful season.

2. Always have my Favorite Driver Kyle Busch and my home state boy Martin Truex Jr.

3. Never really watched one...

Q: Pole!
I was pretty shocked I got the pole. Meatty and I tried to get a two-man tandem going, but we had to bail on that halfway through qualifying and fall back to a bigger pack. When I watched the replay back, on my pole lap I had a check-up pretty decently in T1, so I must have gotten one hell of a tow down both straightaways to be able to pick up the time I did. It was a pleasant surprise.

R: 8th
Also watching back, I really wasn't happy with my performance in the race. I had a fast car, I knew where it would handle the best, but I let fear of other's latency and netcode put me in bad situations. I also did not practice the apron like I should have, and I was an embarrassment trying to get to the backstretch on our green-flag pit stops. The race end was a disappointment, but that's restrictor-plate racing, I know there was nothing intentional about it. Ultimately I shouldn't have put myself in that position anyway and I should have tried to get around Sean sooner because we were not holding pace like we should have, which allowed the pack behind us to catch up. But I was worried again about his car bouncing so I moved out to try to see if I couldn't steal Wardude's momentum on the high lane to make a final pass. Nothing to do but put it behind me and move forward to Richmond and try to compete for the win there.

Not the run I wanted but due to some issues I was unable to get a decent lap in with a group.

R:14 (DNF)
I DCed before the stage ended so I'm not sure how to feel about the race. I feel it was my best shot at winning a race this season, so I was pretty pissed when the internet went out. I'm going to try an academic building on campus this upcoming week to see if that helps as they run on a different network, but wouldn't be surprised if it acted the same as the school doesn't know how to run a network.

Q: 4
I was in a 5 car pack with my teammate trying to put some good laps together. Noah was on the front row, I qualified right behind him.

R: 1st
I got collected in two wrecks during the opening laps .When we pitted under caution I took no tires and gain 9 places came out in 3rd. I bump draft the S*** out of CJ lol. I was determined to keep everyone else behind me I finished the stage P2. From there I ran inside the top 5 though out the rest of the race leading on a couple different occasions. Near the end I pitted with the lead group I was running in 3rd at that time. But I beat everyone out of the pits. I was like this is crazy I might be able to win. Hootie and Kyle must have pitted the lap before because the came out ahead of the leading group and were about 1.5 seconds behind me down the back straight. I slowed up to let them catch me in the corner knowing they probably would have flown by me down the next straight if I kept running by myself. They tucked in behind me and I could hear hootie going it's going to be really close on fuel Zeke. Right then !I started backing the pace down because I was only about half a lap to the good.I felt like if I just held on the yellow line the only way someone would pass me is going below the yellow line and dumping me in the corner. What I didn't realize was how quick the 2nd group was catching us. But I had a feeling if they caught us someone back there would get over aggressive going two wide and cause a huge wreck so I backed it down a little more trying to use some strategy, so we were all bunched up and they couldn't get a huge run because Kyle and Hootie were blocking them. Then half a lap later massive wreck between Kyle and Hottie. Hootie yelled out caution I crossed the line and slowed down right away and here comes CJ and Kyle at full speed flying by me before turn 1 and they just kept going I was like wtf is going on lol. So I chased back after them they finally slowed down coming to the pit entrance but by that time it was to late to have a one lap shootout:( I wanted to win under green but hey I will take it:) It was an awesome race lots of strategy and great battling up front I had a lot of fun.

Q: 3rd

Nick and I had most likely just missed taking 1-2 to start the race by having to go high in turn 3 to avoid Brian. Qualified top 3 which is ok with me.

R: 7th

I always have a car to take me to victory lane at restrictor plate tracks but this one wasn't meant to be. I had no stage points and got involved in a wreck with 2 to go to take me out of what would have been a top 3 I believe. With this only being a 10 race season, I have a lot of consistent work to do to make up points from this race. Richmond practice starts NOW

Good finish but no stage points really sucks. During the long green flag run I caught apron somehow and dug myself a hole fast. 8 seconds off the lead and in 12th I had to use pit strategy to get back up there. 2 tires on my first, and no more tires the rest of the way. I felt like I was in the best position with around 15 to go when myself and my teammate were 1-2. Unfortunately an unexpected bump took me out of the running which I thought at the time was a blown tire. I recooporated but a bad pit stop for more fuel than I needed costed me the lead draft. Can't wait for Richmond!

Q: 7th. Couldnt get hooked up well
R: 9th. Myself and Kdawg with a two car group set the two fastest times, so Im happy with that.  I just locked bumpers during a lag spike which put me in the grass, couldnt catch the pack after that.
