Question about PM stuck in outbox

So I'm new to these forums....
Is it normal for a PM to be in the outbox for a while after being sent?  Wasn't sure about the forum quirks.

I might be wrong, but I believe that if it still showing in your outbox, that means the other person has not opened the message yet. I think that is how it goes.

Right, like Charles said, it's because the other person haven't opened the message yet
