Unfortunately the game still has a number of bugs that are impacting our ability to run league races. Therefore we are delaying the start of the season at least one week. We will re-evaluate the game after the next patch 1.7 which is due mid week next week.

Pre-Race Interview:
1) How was your race at Spa?
2) This week we will be at the USA GP for another preseason race.  How do you like this track?
3) Now since it has been a few pre-season races, are you happy with your car choice? If not what car did you wish you had?

Take this chance to get used to not crashing into others and making clean passes. This is a fun track and it's really wide. Great track choice whoever decided on it.

The big issue is still the yellow flag issues. When someone crashes it stays on for the full race which mean if someone wants to play a dirty move they could slow down in the yellow flag zone and let the car behind pass so he needs to give the place back or he gets a penalty.

So the option was to delay the season, otherwise it would have been no flags which is not a great option. I do want the season to start too so will see with the next patch but this is typical Codemasters stuff going now once again.

1) How was your race at Spa?

I had a great race! I think I'm finally getting used to no assists. Finally able to get a top 10 qually in (10th place), and finished 6th in the race! I'm very proud of that, especially with almost a full grid.

2) This week we will be at the USA GP for another preseason race.  How do you like this track?

I've honestly never raced this track before. I've actually never raced many of the tracks in the second half of the season, so this should be interesting. I won't get too much practice in before this race, so I don't expect too great of a result for myself. I'll still have fun with it tho!

3) Now since it has been a few pre-season races, are you happy with your car choice? If not what car did you wish you had?

I am extremely happy with my car choice. Red Bull is my current favorite team and I get to race as Max!!

Lasted about 20 seconds and didn't even make it passed Eau Rouge. Couldnt even qualify because I spun out in the rain.

Never raced on it yet but I have done a few laps on it. It feels fast and smooth, I'm excited.

3) Now since it has been a few pre-season races, are you happy with your car choice? If not what car did you wish you had?
Yes I'm happy with the car choice, my initial choice was the Renault but I do this think this car is much better.

1) How was your race at Spa?
Pretty fair. I was very carefull and was driving at about 80% from the limit. My teammate Falco Bronzo and I have chosen opposite tyres strategies to see what will be good for us when racing in december on the real race in the calender. We took very interesting notes about the tyre strategy.

2) This week we will be at the USA GP for another preseason race. How do you like this track?
I hate that track. For me, it is the worst track layout of all the F1 season. The middle section is pretty dull to drive.

3) Now since it has been a few pre-season races, are you happy with your car choice? If not what car did you wish you had?
I really enjoy driving the McLaren-Honda. It is a really fun car to drive. Alonso could not agree with me then...

1) How was your race at Spa?
It was the best race I've had since joining.  I was able to finish 4th after a good race with battles where I held my own against Nick.  In the past, I was normally only on the same part of the track with him if I was getting a blue flag and being lapped.  I also had a good battle with GuiGui, but they had the better strategy.

2) This week we will be at the USA GP for another preseason race.  How do you like this track?
I like it, but mostly because it is the only track I've actually been to.  I went to the race in Texas last year.  They had a tent where they had the F1 2016 game and could race on the track and I won my heat and got to put in a couple laps on the giant screen with more simulator like force feedback.  I botched those laps, but had a lot of fun.  It was great to storm the track afterward and watch the podium interviews above the pits and then walking up the hill to turn one.  So, racing at Circuit of the Americas will always bring back the memories of actually being there.

3) Now since it has been a few pre-season races, are you happy with your car choice? If not what car did you wish you had?
I'm a fan of Haas and am glad I got to choose it.  They joined the year after I started watching F1 (yeah, I'm pretty new to the sport), so it's been fun rooting for them as they improve.
