Unfortunately the game still has a number of bugs that are impacting our ability to run league races. Therefore we are delaying the start of the season at least one week. We will re-evaluate the game after the next patch 1.7 which is due mid week next week.

Pre-race Questions by El_Majacko!

1. In light of the postponement of round 1 due to game glitches, have you any experiences of glitches in F1 2017 to share post patch 1.06?
2. We head to Spa for this week! Do you find Eau Rouge easier or more difficult this year?
3. We've had a sudden influx of new drivers join this past week. Predict the grid size for Round 1!
4. What number will you be running this season and what significance does it have for you?

1. Haven't encountered to many bugs luckily, but they can always appear at the worst possible times ๐Ÿ˜‚

2. I think it's easier this year, with the extra downforce you really feel like you can go flat out up the hill. I felt a little nervous trying to do the same thing on the 2016 game. As the rear would get a little nervous with last years cars.

3. More the merrier, it's always good to have more battles through the field ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

4. Previously ran with the number #23, just because I was born on march 23rd and also because of Michael Jordan ๐Ÿ€ But now running with #88 because I was born in 88 ๐Ÿ˜† damn showing my age now. Also couldn't run with 88 because of rio haryanto in last years game ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

There seems to be some annoying shadow bugs still which ruin the game for me, shame to see so many issues given I know how promising the game was in the beta.

2. We head to Spa for this week! Do you find Eau Rouge easier or more difficult this year?
Easier, alot more rear grip. Before it felt like it would kill me.

3. We've had a sudden influx of new drivers join this past week. Predict the grid size for Round 1!
16
4. What number will you be running this season and what significance does it have for you?
45, I have had that number in karts since I was the age of 11, Unfortunately, i have to run 5 for this season given someone stole my number, but i will be getting it back at some stage.

1. Haven't played the game since the new patch.
2. Eau Rouge was a lot easier to take flat in the one 3 lapper I did there.
3. Bigger than the last two weeks hopefully.
4. #4, my birthday is on June 4th.

Q: 2nd, seems to be a reccuring thing being on the front row which is good, but maznat's lap was simply to good for me and was a well desereved pole
Race: 1st, got alright start and held my position to keep out of the mess, and was able to hold onto maznat once i lifted my pace, as the tyres went off it was clea i had slightly better pace but could of been hard to overtake, till he ran wide and crashed out, I then had a 3-4 second lead over trevor who drove fantasticly and even caught up abit to 2 seconds before the next set of stops, where i went to the softs and him to the supersofts meaning he had to pit again and i didnt, and after that, i basically came for the win.ย

Bitter sweet given that it is another practice race and everyone else seem to have issues, but i think i had good enough pace to be top 3 regardless and hoppe there are no further issues for anyone.ย

Yes.

Eau Rouge is easier but the rest is harder.
3. We've had a sudden influx of new drivers join this past week. Predict the grid size for Round 1!
19.5.
4. What number will you be running this season and what significance does it have for you?
I run 43 because it's the answer to life, the universe and everything plus one.

Q: 8th
Well that went wrong. I didn't bother to practice for this pre-season race and indeed got a flat tyre on my way home from uni that afternoon, so I wasn't fully concentrated shall we say.

R: DNF (FL)
I was caught up in the crash on Kemmel Straight and lost a significant portion of my wing. This caused a penalty for missing Les Combes and a lap 1 pit stop for softs. I lapped well having come out in 9th and moved up to 3rd. I pitted late for ultras given a nice gap to 4th and a questionable amount of wear disallowing a safe 1 stop. I registered the fastest lap and saw kidbyers' 2nd place only 2 or so seconds up the road when he emerged from the pits. I pushed to catch him, but lost it at Pouhon. I was sliding long enough to go through 3 distinct stages of thinking. 1. Oh no! I need to keep my foot down to minimise time loss. 2. Damn, this is going to wear my tyres a lot. 3. Crap, what damage will I sustain?

JQ - 5th, put in a banker lap of 1:45.1 on my first run, then went out late in the session and managed to go about 5 tenths quicker than that to end up 5th on the grid.

R - 2nd, got a good start off the line to make it up to 3rd, force whan made contact with me as I headed up Eau rouge which I think caused him to go off. Battled with dani until a slight mistake let me past at turn 1. Just tried to keep up the pace to kart before pitting on lap 7 for super softs, commited to a 2-stopper so I needed to get on it if I was gonna fight for the win. Stayed out on the SS until jacko pitted for the ultras, so I reacted to him and did the same. He came out a couple of seconds behind me, then had an incident and was no longer a threat. After that I was pretty much all on my own, I did my best to cut the gap to kartdude but in the end it was 12 secs ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Overall I'm happy with the race, good start, no incidents, no penalties, and good pace. In hindsight I probably should have 1-stopped, but then again, stopping for the ultras pretty much secured 2nd place for me easily in the end ๐Ÿ
