Pre-race Questions by El_Majacko!

1. From Monza we now come to Suzuka. Are you more comfortable with the fast or the flowing tracks on this game?Β
2. Do you anticipate any Grand Prix this season to be more than a 1 stopped in full dry conditions?
3. How do you like your team and team-mate for this season?
4. Who is your pick for driver's and constructor's champion this season?

1. I was very surprised by just how quick everyone was last week. The standard is very high and yes, really loving the fast, flowing nature of the cars in this game. Very fun to drive that's for sure πŸ‘πŸΌ

2. I highly doubt it given the low tyre wear this year. But there could be an extra stop every now and then for strategy or for those annoying people who are 2-laps down and try and set the fastest lap of the race πŸ˜‚

3. Such a shame we signed on for Mclaren before the Renault engine deal came along but oh well 🀣 and as for my team mate, he's alright I guess. But he has been spotted holiday in the Bahamas 🌴 and taking his private jet πŸ›© all over the globe 🌎 and some are questioning his commitment to the team for the upcoming season 😑

4. Hard to go past the obvious 3 guys in jacko, dean or murph πŸ€” but hoping the season throws up a surprise or two. But I will say "Dean" given that I'm a big fan of his #DM15 #blessed πŸ™πŸ»πŸ†

See you all tonight πŸ‘πŸΌ

1. From Monza we now come to Suzuka. Are you more comfortable with the fast or the flowing tracks on this game?
I think im generally comfortable with most tracks on this game, and am yet to show my full potential

2. Do you anticipate any Grand Prix this season to be more than a 1 stopped in full dry conditions?
Yes and know, it all depends how well you can keep the pace up on the tyres before they drop off. I look forward to maybe seeing mix strategies.
3. How do you like your team and team-mate for this season?
Considering i wasn't going to sign up till my team mate offered me a deal to join in the force india, I like it very well ;)

4. Who is your pick for driver's and constructor's champion this season?
Other then myself hopefully, It is difficult to look past Jacko as the main contender based on past game form, I think Dean will be up there alot also if he can nail the tracks, Constructors is deff a tougher one and just depends on how consistent each team can be in the championship.

1. From Monza we now come to Suzuka. Are you more comfortable with the fast or the flowing tracks on this game?
It's a bit early to say for me. Traditionally I have been better on flowing tracks, but this game is very different, and that fact may be obsolete nowadays.
2. Do you anticipate any Grand Prix this season to be more than a 1 stopped in full dry conditions?
From the evidence of the few 50% races I've done including last week, it does seem that way, perhaps a bit broken. I hope not though, as strategy is half the fun (if not more).
3. How do you like your team and team-mate for this season?
Team-mate is ideal. Team livery celebrates her 25 years. Seems absolutely delightful.
4. Who is your pick for driver's and constructor's champion this season?
There are several rivals who may delete my status as champion. dani, dreglar, kart and ForceWhan are the one's I'm keeping my eyes on.

1. From Monza we now come to Suzuka. Are you more comfortable with the fast or the flowing tracks on this game?

I quite like this track as it is, and with the higher cornering speeds this year it should be exciting

2. Do you anticipate any Grand Prix this season to be more than a 1 stopped in full dry conditions?

At the moment, no. However I'm sure some tracks will have higher wear than anticipated.

3. How do you like your team and team-mate for this season?

Love my boy Alan <3 and love the Scuderia

4. Who is your pick for driver's and constructor's champion this season?

Drivers: Too early to call
Constructors: Ferrari

Q: 3rd
Struggled with the first sector having lowered my wings for the session. Weird glitch in the session though.

R: 4th (FL)
Maintained 3rd off after T1, although HSV had jumped ahead and kart fallen behind with contrasting starts. My downforce helped in overtaking HSV back into 2nd, whereupon I stayed until dani pitted out of the lead. I extended my stint before going to softs and came out 3rd behind dani and kart. I went for an ill-advised move around the outside of 130-R and lost the rear on the exit curb. My wing snapped upon contact with the inside wall, and I wasn't aware of any contact with kart at the time. I pitted for a new wing and set of supers, set the fastest lap and overtook mozza. It seemed kart ran out of fuel gifting my 4th at the line (although penalties would have seen me 4th anyway). Congrats to dani on a well controlled win, HSV and squag on impressive drives to 2nd and 3rd.

Q: 4th

Lost my first run due to Mozza's car lagging back and forth and damaging my wing, and ruined my second run after making a meal of the run through Spoon. The lost time there would have had me near pole but alas, I didn't put the lap together which Dani did, congrats :D

R: 2nd

Had a lightning start that saw me launch to 2nd before Turn 1, but fell back to 3rd at the end of the lap. Stayed 3rd after the stops until taking 2nd when Jacko spun and kartdude pitted. Went on the attack slowly chipping away at Dani's lead until a clumsy run through Degner 1 saw me wide and on the curb braking for Degner 2, and a nice slide through the gravel, narrowly avoiding the wall. This saw squag take 2nd. Nursed the tyres home and barely re-inherited 2nd due to squag's penalty.

Massive congrats to Dani on a fine win!!

Q: 1st

Had a pretty clean session, made sure to give myself some space from the other cars. I didn't think I was going to get pole at all until the session ended  Β

R:1st

A nice surprise! Had a good start and kept the lead until the first pit stop. Exited the pits just behind Kartdude, he made a mistake at turn 1&2 which allowed me to sneak through. Once Jacko pitted I reclaimed the lead and that was that. Almost lost the car into the wall at the exit of degner 2, can say I drove super carefully after that :D.

Looking forward to seeing everyone for the start of the season next week!

Nice win by dani and really well deserved πŸ‘πŸΌ

Q - 9th, elected not to run and then start at the back on fresh soft tyres.

R - 8th (I think) πŸ˜‚ Made a cautious start and tried to stay out of trouble at the back hoping to come into the midfield after the SS πŸ”΄ runners made their first stops.

Had a slight off and damaged my wing which then caused me to be a second per lap off the pace of the mid pack. Ran the softs for as long as possible before pitting and putting on the SS's. Set some decent lap times once on the SS with a new wing and came home in front of dreglar, just managing to stay on the lead lap.

I know a DNF & 8th aren't great results, however I'm still really getting a lot of good info and experience with tyre wear, consistency etc. I would say it may be another year of running the mid pack, and maybe if some things go my way, I could sneak into the top 5 every now and then.

But like I said, really happy for dani and her pole and win πŸ† Because she's awesome and also gets all of my Simpsons jokes and puns πŸ˜‚ Catch you all next week.

Q: 2nd made a slight error on the exit of the final chicane but regardless Dani did a fantastic lap and was a well-deserved pole.

Race: 5th, Made an embarrassing start when I accidentally selected reverse gear before the start so I got murdered off the start, Made my way till 4th till I and Dean touched out of 130r. I thought then I could try the 2 stop and see if that would work seeing it was a pre season race and had nothing to lose. From there I pushed as hard as I could on the soft tyres knowing I had to pit again and managed to come out first after everyone had pitted. Danielson did crash at this stage and would have been a miracle if the safety car came out for me. but it didn't. Dani passed me after an error and Jacko passed me on the outside of 130r. I thought we may have touched through some lag, so I opted to let him past at the end to keep the peace.

Overall, really pleased with how the car felt and think I made some improvements from the last race. Going to be a cracker of a season!

Sauber is looking strong, and it is really hard to pick a definite favourite for the title at this stage.
