Penalty System:

An at fault is declared when a driver clearly initiated contact that leads to a caution [ex: catching the apron and spinning in front of another car, bouncing off of the wall on turn exit and into another car, not holding a proper line and creating contact with another car, ect.]
[ul]
[li]1st at fault accident in a race will not be penalized points.[/li]
[li]2nd at fault in a race is a 2 point penalty.[/li]
[li]3rd at fault in a race is a 5 point penalty and suspended for the next race. [/li]
[li]Accumulating 5 at faults during the season is a 3 point penalty, no matter how many races it takes to accumulate them.[/li]
[li]Accumulating 8 at faults during the season is a 1 race suspension. [/li]
[li]A singular lag spike will not be declared an at fault accident, however that driver must start in the back of the field on the ensuing restart. Multiple lag spikes from a driver will result in that driver being asked to leave the race if it is deemed unsafe to drive around that car.[/li]
[li]Anything deemed a racing deal between 2 drivers will not count as a half at fault in the tally system.[/li]
[li]After 2 consecutive races that a driver completes without being charged with an at-fault, lag or racing deal, that driver will have an at-fault taken away from their season total in regards to the race suspension, but not against the points penalty tally. If a driver is already at 0, they will stay there and can not accrue negative at-fault amounts.[/li]
[li]There will be either a points penalty or time penalty assessed to a driver who bumps another driver into pit road and causes them to receive a speeding penalty (this also takes into account contact on the track that leads to a driver being sent onto pit road as well). The type of penalty will be based on factors of how much it negatively effected the victim (was there a caution that allowed them to catch up? Did the race stay green and they did not get a chance to recover? just for examples)[/li]
[/ul]
All cautions will automatically be reviewed by Hootius and judged accordingly based on the video evidence that will be available. Please be mindful if you are involved in an incident that may lead to a protest. Make sure to save your race replay so you can send in a clip in defense if needed. I can only judge incidents based on the replays that I have to watch. Word of mouth is not good enough.

Protesting Another Driver:
[ul]
[li]If you feel that a driver has purposelessly or recklessly generated contact to make a pass, you may submit video evidence to Hootius in PSN chat for review. If it is deemed that the driver has clearly broken the PRL Rules of Driving Conduct, a point penalty may be awarded at the discretion of the leadership.[/li]
[li]If the violation happens on the last lap, a time penalty may be given in place of a points penalty at the leadership's discretion.[/li]
[li]It is up to the drivers to protest any actions on the track that does not lead to a caution. The leadership will not go looking through videos willingly to find situations.[/li]

Race #9: Kentucky Speedway (21Mar18)
[ul]
[li]There was an investigation into a report of illegal pit entries by JakeGirouX24 on the final 2 green flag pit stops. By his own admission, there was a lapse of judgement and the proper pit entry procedure was not followed. This action, if caught during the race, would have lead to a drive thru penalty. In order of fairness and to try to keep it consistent with how the in-race penalty would have worked, Jake has been given an "End of the lead lap" penalty, which drops his official finishing position to 6th place. vWardude has been awarded the Kentucky victory.[/li]
