Hey all. So SRTe enjoyed hosting practice sessions so much last season that we’ve decided to bring this back for season 17 to help our Tuesday GTE drivers nail that perfect setup for our new 60 minute races. Y’all didn’t forget that little detail did you?

We believe that Season 17 is going to be a milestone season for PRL. The competition is going to be tougher, the drivers getting faster and we also believe we are going to witness a serious run for Driver and Team Championships.

With that in mind and to help promote greater participation in these practice sessions, we will be increasing the session time from 4 hours to 6 hours commencing on June 17th (day before race 1) at 6PM ET. I will make a separate post in the next week with the week to week session info and password info. We hope to see as many of you that can come out and get in that practice for the next day’s race session.

These of course are in addition to the very generous practice time the league gives us before the start of qualifying each week.

Regards.

So glad to hear you will be offering this for all drivers competing in this series! Is it safe to assume that track/weather conditions will be set the same as what the race settings will be?

I set the sessions to be static at in-sim race start times with about 75% track usage. The time remains static but we use dynamic weather. The reason behind doing things this way is because we have people in different time zones joining at all different hours. In order to give the benefit of what race conditions may look like at the start of the race, I keep the time static. However, the dynamic track is still in effect. It’s not perfect and there is a trade off but it’s as close as you’re gonna get no matter what time you decide to join the server.
