Mass Qualifying was Chaos in GT4 Last Season, and I loved it

I ran the GT4 league last season with open group qualifying. I think there was some beef in the forums about driver behavior, but I loved the chaos. I hope we can try it one week this season.

I agree Peter, I think Open Qualifying adds a whole extra layer to league racing that is thrilling.
Takes some strategy into play, ya know?

Although, 10mins was pretty slim timing so I understood the frustration of many drivers!

I wasn't a huge fan of it. Mainly because I'm an oval driver and all these tracks are new to me. Like 5 of the tracks I had to purchase just for this series. That kind of makes me feel like I'm in the way when a faster car comes up on me. At least the way it is with solo qual, I can be slow and not worry about ruining someone else's qual lap. That's just my take on it. Either way, I'm happy with whatever way the hmfic's decide to do qualifying.

Thats the strategy though. It's open qualifying. The faster driver should have managed their gap to make sure they have enough space.
You're not required to move over for them, unless of course youre on an out lap or maybe off tracked your lap, but if youre on a flyer.. you have every right to drive your line.
