I've been thinking of moving on to a faster car for the next PRL season, so I watched the Ferrari Fixed/GT3 Amateur race last night. The Ferrari race was a clusterfuck of drivers that couldn't control their cars, and the GT3 race saw not one, but two intentional wrecks! There have certainly been moments in this series where I've been frustrated and may have called a couple of you "mouth-breathers" to friends and family, but know that I appreciate you all and I will be driving the slowest car PRL offers next season.

I'm of firm mind, that slower cars always offer better all around racing experience. I always make a point to watch the broadcast in the morning. I usually have hockey Monday nights or I would have joined.

Luckily, now that I have quit racing in the Fixed Ferrari Series, I don't have to buy another track until round 10 lol. It also gives me time to practice a little more for the MX-5's.

It always made me laugh at this kind of simracing driver who chooses more powerful cars that they can't control. We often see that in endurance racing, guys in LMP2 slower than GT3s in the more twisty parts of the circuit but, LMP2 has more power, they choose it.

In my case I know that I am not good at GT3 and I am not ashamed to choose a slower car. I like to drive but not to look silly ;)

I mean, if Dany and gang can set me up in here in an LMP2 and I'm the only one that drives it, I might have a chance. :)

And, just imagine the highlight reels of me running underneath Miata's launching them into orbit. HAHAHAHA!

But seriously, yeah, Monday night was fun. A few jank things like almost being ran off the road on straights, but the cars are slow enough that you can back out before someone's lack of paying attention results in a larger mess. And most of us are here to get better and to learn, so its all good. The side by side battle I had with Pete through the entire uphill and onto the mountain, and the battle I had with Dany at the end more then made up for any of that.
