Hi everyone!
In this thread, we will explain the changes we are providing for 2023/S2 in our series and ruling!
Road series become open qualifying
Moving forward, so we provide a different experience of iRacing official races, all our road series will feature open 20 - 30 min. of qualifying session. The only exception will be for multiclass series, it will remain 10 min. / 4 laps (solo).
The management might change the structure to Solo Qualifying based on tracks or field size.
New point structure (for road series only)
Based on feedback received, we were due to revisit our point structure. As we have more and more drivers filling up our grids, we needed to provide more points for drivers below P30. As of 2023/S2, point structure will be as below.
1st - 55 pts
2nd - 52 pts
3rd - 50 pts
4th - 48 pts
5th - 46 pts
6th - 45 pts
7th - 44 pts
8th - 43 pts
------------
50th - 1 pt
Adjustment to penalty points (for road series only)
Because we have reviewed our point system, we needed to do the same for the penalty points. As of 2023/S2, penalty points will be:
We are adding back the MX-5
Again based on feedback received, our Monday GR86 series will become MX-5/GR86 series and will follow the official iRacing Production Car Challenge series. Because it becomes a multiclass series, as stated above, this series will still feature solo qualifying.
Tuesday GT3 Sprint is now 2k minimum
The strength of field is increasing season after season in the GT3 Sprint Series. As a result, moving forward, the minimum iRating required to join this series will be 2000.
Welcome to the Renault Clio!
As announced on social media by iRacing and on their forum, on the next build we are welcoming the Renault Clio which will be included in the Production Car Challenge Series. We will be adding it to our PCC series on Monday 8:30pm EST alongside of the MX-5 and GR86!
Welcome to the F1600!
As announced on social media by iRacing and on their forum, on the next build we are welcoming the Formula 1600 (free content) which will replace the Formula 4 in our Thursday 8:30pm EST series!
