Unfortunately, due to work commitments. I will be unable to make this race.

Do we just run the track specific fixed setup, or does someone make it?

Setups are found in the Setup thread. I will put a link in the race threads from now on as well.

Yeah I saw the thread, but I didn't see one for week 7 yet so I thought I would see which one would be used.

Since I am new to this car and track I will need to do a lot of practice because I do not want to be a safety hazard, so I need a decent amount of seat time.

There is a week 07 setup posted. The link to the folder is in the first post of that thread. Here's a direct Link to the folder. If you still have trouble, let me know and I will e-mail it to you.

EDIT; In retrospect it seems silly to have a setup thread when we could just direct link the setup folder for every race. ;)

Man changing front wing wicker to 1" full span and adding rear wing wicker to 1"21" makes this setup so much better in the 1st sector and lets you go flat out through the S's in the back.

I am having a real hard time with the fixed setup.  I can do 1:21.3 easily with the changes and 1:22.4 with the default.

Maybe I just can't drive but I need that extra down force.

Yeah, the guys who know setups like to make things harder on the mortals.

It's all about the line. I think i did a 1.17.xxx in quali, and had no problem in the esses, was easy flatout for me. i did put about 1% more front downforce on from the baseline setup i found.

I'm going to skip this week, I really really really really don't like that track layout.  Especially in that car.  I only gave it about five minutes of practice but I hated every second of it.  I never thought I'd say this, but I am not going to race today because I absolutely hate this track layout.  It feels like taking a Lamborghini to a go kart track to me, but even worse.  I've said it before, and I'm going to say it again, I really think we should have selected tracks that suit the DW12.  You might say to me "but, Justin, they raced Indycar here" and I would probably just say "I don't care."

That was possibly the worst five minutes I've ever spent in iRacing, I'll race at Suzuka in two weeks :(

for the weather we use weather.com to find the forecast for the race day.  So all of sessions have the same weather, and that weather is retrieved from weather.com

I just type in the zip code (or address if it's not in the US) of the track, go to 10 day forecast, and then click on the race day (for example, today).

So for next week's race at Iowa I found the zip code, went to weather.com, and used whatever it said :)

Sonoma is one of my favorites, at least in the L79.  I wouldn't judge any circuit after only 5 minutes!

With a fast car like this, I don´t know why we don´t have like at least 50% of tracks being TV F1 tracks, with good comparable tracks to complete, like Road America. Spa is out for 2 seasons !

Fred is having a boring moment, 4 people inside the session on the time I write this. He´s nor going to race unless 2 more people show up. If he leaves, I won´t race for a podium guaranteed race.

And it´s Lights Out and Away We Go !

Yes, i did indeed leave. I'm not gonna race if not there is atleast 6 people in the race session. In my opinion its a waste of time and money to race when there a so few racers. If i want to race i can join a offical iRacing race, but i dont want to race, i want to race with nice and kind people thats why i race in this league, but when 4 drivers join i think i'd rather race a official race. Dont get me wrong, i love to race with you guys, but it's not fun when you race with 4 ither people.  i think its a bit sad that only 5/19 drivers join, i know work and personal problems can get in the way, but still 5/19…
