can someone clarify about rolling start?. I did a search in the iRacing forums and the only that I found is this:
"Leader can go any time after the pace car pulls in. Once the green comes out EVERYONE can go regardless if the leader had picked up the pace or not as long as his lane passes him on out side if before S/F line. "

I think that reefers to oval, niot sure if it is applicable to road. If so, I understand that when the green comes out, it can be speed-up independently whether or not it has passed through the finish line.

I can't say, I think this will jeed to be tested. Maybe you can host a single race with your teammate and try it out. I think you're good as soon as you keep your line.

I can clarify the rolling start. Because of the way iRacing is programmed it doesn't have a way to know if you've actually gone prior to green. Therefore, in Official series for example, you go either on the leader or green (whichever comes first). The leader is allowed to go once the pace car pulls off.

The PRL rules are that we go on green so that's what we've been doing here.

Side note: In multi-class racing it is customary in iRacing to give a gap between car classes. While iRacing cannot technically enforce this, generally the leader of the slower classes will leave a gap to the class ahead for safety and etiquette. There is still no passing until the either green or S/F line.

Ok but what if the second get ahead of first before the start/finish line?

So we really need to nail down the start rule here in PRL. I am good on go when the green lights turn green but say I can see leader start and go with him before green and pass 4 people before start line is that a jump start? We are all good racers and for the most part have had clean starts. If Iracing has no code to black flag on jump start then I am guessing you can just go when you like...this is going to cause more trouble. I like a good clean start it lets everyone come up to speed without a missile in the middle. Of course, this is racing so the gloves are off.
I also love standing starts too

As far as I know you cannot pass until either P1 passes S/F or green flag, whichever comes first. This one should be tested

Just o be clear I want all of us to agree on the start because I want all of us to race for 45 minutes and not get wiped out before turn one.

Well, at the start of every race they usually state we will go on green...

Right.  Going in green. If you do dumb things you will get a black flag that won’t be cleared.  I always tell guys to be carful at start, but keep in mind that sometimes there can be brain farts, and this, I can’t control it.

The point is: We go on green, yes I understand. Green is given before the start/finish line. When green has been given, if the driver in P2 got better reflex than P1 and overtake him before the start finish line, will he get a Black flag?

Per iRacing,  you can pass a car on the outside before start/Finnish line once green is on. If you pass it staying on your side of the track, should be good, depending of the track, leader will start left or right.   So just don’t change lane before the line.

I think you need to place a few lines in the PRL rules...as there is some confusion not just with the old slow dumb guy here.
to recap:
1 leader can be passed before line if on the outside or inside
2 go on green or the leader
3 can be passed before line by a car laying back and getting a run before green as long as pass happens after green lights
4 dumb stuff will be black flagged
5 brain farts cannot be controlled
Last question who is the black flagger guy?

#3 is protectable actually and iRacing will enforce this.

IRL the cars go on green. iRacing just doesn't have the game logic built this way.
