Pre-Race Interview

1. New Season, new excitment! What is one goal you hope to achieve this season?

2. Huge shootout to DieCast Kings for sponsoring us again. Have you ever collected die casts? If so, what's your favorite of your collection?

3. With VRS, a cheaper option in CSS, and a free option with Tanner's Discord, what are your thoughts if Sunday was an open league down the road with little bit longer races (75min target instead of 45)?

1. Wreck Charles! Have Barron win! continue to raise money for animal shelters

2. I collected 1:64 for a bit. Not sure of my favorite though. A lot of Kes, blaney, and bubba

3. It has its pros and cons. I’d be interested though

1. Keep mental errors to a minimum, and have a good time.

2. Never got to collect them.

3. Fan of the longer time, not so much the open set's, its always a great option when free time is hard to come by.

1. Don't make silly pit/penalty errors. Look to finish solidly in the top 15.

2. No but I've looked into it. DieCast Kings got me interested in some options.

3. I'm torn, but would probably prefer the fixed setup. Do like the longer times. Open wouldn't dissuade me from racing.

This week I'm going to be flying by the seat of my pants; 12HR Sebring practice is consuming most of my time.

No DNFs.

My David Reutimann 00 Aaron’s Dream Machine

Longer races yes. Would give anything for longer races. Open set, no. Just don’t have the time for it.

1. Run up front more consistently.

2. I do collect diecast. One of my favorites is a 3 pack of raced versions from the weekend Kyle Busch won all 3 races at Bristol. That or my 1/24 Kerry Earnhardt team DEI Arca car from 2000.

3. After using a couple different open setups and learning how to properly tweak them, I am all for longer races and open setups personally, but I think less will race then and the competition would be less. Im torn too though on open or fixed.

To add, as of right now I will not make this race due to a rescheduled practice that is 7-9pm on Sunday. Campus just shut down though, so if they end Spring football camp too then I will on for sure.

1. Outside of murdering Zemke at Auto Club, I felt I had a good rhythm and pace going the last half of the season. Looking to keep the consistency going and stay in the Top 10.

2. The very first Action Elite 1:24 scale I ever purchased was the Earnhardt Olympic car. It has a special place in my heart lol

3. Open vs fixed is always a touchy subject. I feel like with more reliable options then we have all had access to then before, then a look into open might not be the roster killer we once feared it was. Especially if they dont f'n loosen up these stupid fixed sets.

Don't know if there is any interest but I'm streaming my teams 12HR of Sebring tomorrow. I'm in the car for 3 hour stint around 12:30pm EST. If you wanted to check it out and give me a follow that would be great. If it goes well, I'm going to stream our Sunday races as well.

1. Just wanna run good. I generally aim for top 5s or better.

2. Only one I've bought recently was the 1/24 elite of Chase Elliott's first win. Would like to get a few more but dont have a lotta space to display them lol.

3. I like the idea of a little bit longer races, especially if we can keep em as clean as last seasons seemed to be for the most part but for me its fixed all the way. I don't know much about sets besides a few small tweaks and I really dont want to devote several hours a week just to dial down a setup for a 45-75 minute race. I like the pureness of fixed as its all down to the driver learning the limits of the individual track and setups that iRacing provides rather than being able to rely on a setup to get the edge. I understand that is a part of real racing but here our goal should be fun competitive races like we have now. Whereas in the past when the Sunday series was open it became less fun due to people taking it way to seriously and also having less parity in the league overall. Open racing in all my past experiences here at PRL has generally negatively impacted my experience and has attracted the wrong kinds of people and racers.

A nice middle ground would possibly be (and I dont think this is possible but I could be very wrong ) to allow for more adjustments on pit road. If its possible to do that we could still use the fixed setup and during pitstops drivers could adjust their cars to their liking with what tools are available. Once again I don't even know if thats possible without having fully open sets but if there was a way to implement that I would be all for it.

Unfortunately there is no option inside of iRacing for that, they'll need to add it in. That's the only feature Nascar Heat had that was convinient, you could adjust tape, wedge and pressures on pit road in a fixed set.

Pre-Race Interview

1. New Season, new excitment! What is one goal you hope to achieve this season?
~I hope to finish all 10 races with 0x and a Top 10

2. Huge shootout to DieCast Kings for sponsoring us again. Have you ever collected die casts? If so, what's your favorite of your collection?
Big THANK YOU to DieCast Kings for coming onboard! And we cannot forget about Buttkicker.

3. With VRS, a cheaper option in CSS, and a free option with Tanner's Discord, what are your thoughts if Sunday was an open league down the road with little bit longer races (75min target instead of 45)?
I would love a slightly longer race! At the moment I prefer FIXED series. Don't have to much time to make setups at the moment

Good race all. I know we had a handful of situation that did not bring out the Yellow that would have made Hoot have neck veins pop, but to start the season off with 1 caution (which by all accounts looks like netcode), that's a great start to the season with a setup that not most of us liked. Onwards to Homestead!

Also Adam S., I'm sorry for our contact on L42. Looked like you were moving out of the way for me so I went low, then tried to go into to the grass to avoid contact when I saw you coming, and it was an unfortunate situation for the both of us. Sorry my man.

Thanks for the race guys. Went as long as I could on tires and popped a front right just before I pitted.

I had the weirdest (and quite comedic) glitch after the tire went. It left me with 8:00 min required repairs.

Here's what it looked like. I'm really glad no one was involved.
