I honestly didn't think I would qualify this high as I was trying to tank qualifying to start in the back.

I felt this one got away. I had the opportunity to win it on a last lap pass. Messed up my fake on Evo and he read it perfectly as he blocked both Habob and I to win the race. Would've probably got second, but I went down to side draft and caught someone's side sent me up the track. I'll take my 3rd place finish and go on to Kansas, especially after I feel I had my what should've been 2nd place finish at Dover taken from me due to the controversial final 20 laps of that race. I will say this that finish at Talladega was great and glad that I was able to be apart of it and have a shot at the win

I tried mostly helping out other drivers to get fast lap times. I didn’t mind where we would qualified, but was kinda funny seeing jake and I qualify the same lap time.

Man it feels great to the first win out of the way at a track that position doesn’t matter. I knew early in the race the laps wouldn’t count. The only lap that counted was the last one. Got together with War, Jake, and Meaty after the first green flag stop, and that pulled us away from the other drivers. After the second green flag stop we were still in a pack but it was with Habob, Meaty, and Wilder. Which it created us four to pull away again. Unfortunately Wilder had some unfortunate luck of being disconnected from the race so it created a three car battle. Then on the last stop it all mattered to the pit crew and how much gas you took. I knew a half a can could get us to the end if it would stay green. I kept an eye on how far away Meaty and Habob were. I had a gap from a second to two seconds between them. Then on the last two Sass caught up to help Habob get to Meaty, then the three of them get to me. Coming out of turn four going into the Tri-oval, I knew I had to play defense. I protected the low lane first then I saw Meaty go high. So I waited for the perfect time to block him and get a push. Then I saw Habob go low and I went low. It was great racing to the finish line. No wreckage or anything coming the checkers. It feels great to get all the congratulations from everyone that night on my first win. Now we go into this bye week and extend the celebration. After the bye week, time go to Kansas and try to get another win for the 8 car and Wall Riders Inc.
